I love Northampton. There are so many unique stores and restaurants. Cornucopia is a wonderful little natural food store, located in the lower level of a mall. They have a large variety of bulk grains, dried fruits, healthy candies, nuts, etc. They have a small produce section with organic produce. Their shelves are always well stocked with a huge variety of products. I would shop here, over Whole Foods, any day!

Great little place for organic produce, snacks and health stuff. Located in Thornes Market and also has a great chocolate shop upstairs. A bit pricy but that’s what organic cost these days. Friendly staff and always looking to help you find what you need.

Love love love Cornucopia. This is an amazing place for all your natural food selection. They have fresh organic local fruit, your medicinal supplies, dried fruits, candies, chocolates, spreads, crackers, cosmetics, could go on forever and ever. The staff is really really nice, and always helpful. The ambiance is amazing. It feels open and open-form. The prices are on the expensive side but that’s fairly normal for a health foods store :) Totally recommended! In a town like Northampton where sometimes you get confused trying to find the real organic supplies, this place is a sure bet.

This is my go-to spot when I’m downtown and need a quick snack or when I just need to pick up a few ingredients for dinner. It’s tiny but I’m always amazed at just how much stuff they actually do sell. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone in for just one item — the next thing you know I have an armful of groceries. Luckily, the staff is appreciatively attentive and will offer me a basket or help carry my purchases. It’s nice to know when I shop here I don’t have to compromise quality for convenience.

Tucked into the basement of Thorne’s Marketplace, since it opened, is this eclectic health food store. It’s independent, rather small … but the prices aren’t quite as high as the normal run of health food establishments, and the staff has always been very friendly. Even in the heyday of Bread and Circus in Hadley, Cornucopia has always been worth the trouble.

I love this place!!! I’ve been visiting this store since I was 16 years old. It never changes, just the same familiar, no hype establishment. What more do you need? Reasonable prices, clean, organized, always stocked. The organic produce selection is small but complete. They support the local area farmers & still have a great selection of new products. Did I mention knowledge? They are extremely helpful with all areas of wellness from skin to the cleansing.

A wonderful local shop with an entirely friendly staff. I bought potatoes here and they smelled like patchouli. But they tasted great!

This place is great. When I come here from Boston, I always pick up some things at a reasonable price. I love, love, love the carob energy chunks. They are a solid snack in between meals. The staff is nice too and always willing to help.

It’s pretty great to go to a real, old-fashioned independent health food store. Everything seems so fresh and new – there’s a whole new world of different brands out there! As much as I actually love Whole Foods, a world without their smaller counterparts fills me with dread. Don’t forget to shop local if you can…
