This is one of the hokiest things I can think of doing… but it really is fun. People get married on this thing. I’ve seen a barefoot skier take off from the top rails before. They used to attend Sunday AM service at the campground(not sure if they do this anymore.) You will hear stories about Lake Webster that will leave you wanting more. Freshly made popcorn is available for purchase on this boat. Seemingly normal people will blink their house lights at the Dixie. Canned music with commentary(or live Captain Bob) will entertain you for the entire ride. All for the very inexpensive price of $ 7. Hokey, but fun. Well, at least if you are above 18 years old. If you are younger than that you will most likely end up rolling your eyes most of the ride wondering what in the world you are doing.

The Dixie boat is a summer staple in North Webster. It’s still only $ 7 for a 75 minute cruise around Webster lake… There is no better value for a family outing anywhere! Webster lake has several small islands with houses that you cruise by, a summer camp and many beautiful cottages. There is a historical soundtrack narrated by Captain Bob Barnes; if you come on Saturday night at 9pm, they nix the soundtrack and Captain Bob sings to you live!
