Sports Authority

Sports Authority is definitely the largest sporting goods store in the area. It is located where Spirit Halloween would be seasonally. I’m so glad they made something permanently useful out of that big building!
The store is two floors, mainly separated as clothes on the bottom level, every the else on the top level. In terms of clothing, they mainly carry Nike and Under Armour, although they do also have a small section of Champion and Adidas. Their clearance section is impressive! I just got a pair of Nike Pros for 12 bucks. I was a happy Cas.
Upstairs in the «everything else» section, they offer a large variety of shoes. The shoe section takes up at least a third of the upstairs. You can also find equipment to almost any sport. I personally love their swim suit collection. They offer more suits than any other general sporting goods store I’ve been to.
The staff is wonderful. They are all very friendly and extremely knowledgable. There is always someone floating around, waiting to help you.

I came in wanting some Brooks running shoes because Fleet Feet sports had closed down the road. Luckily, sports authority had about 5 kinds of brooks running shoes for women. Even though the women’s 11 was a tad snug, Nick had me try on a men’s 10 and they were much better fitting. I ended up getting the brooks glycerin 11. Super comfortable. I tried the transcendence and Asics higher end shoes as well but they weren’t as nice as the glycerins. Next time you go in, ask for Nick. He’s super nice and help me get a «custom» fit for these shoes (since they are higher priced).
