There are so many things to say about this buffet, there are good things and bad things. One good thing is that the food is amazing. One not so good thing is that the ice cream is very hard to get out of the container. But for the most part everything is pretty good.

If your looking to experience the worst buffet in history well you found it. Where do I begin? The food is the worst you could ever try very bland no seasoning. The crab legs were old and had zero flavor the butter they used tasted like popcorn greased oil, Just awful! The flounder they served was so over cooked it was literally pâté and absolutely discussing that I couldn’t take another bite. The salmon was worse if you can imagine that. I had enough of the seafood that I could stomach and switched over to the chicken the general tzos chicken was okay at best but wouldn’t eat it if I had one more bite. The spare ribs were like sugared molasses with some sort of Chinese flavoring that my taste buds could not bare to recognize. The buttered mushroom looked appetizing but was almost if more disgusting than anything I already tried. The hot and sour soup was sub par at best. Mind you I’m only tasting a little of each food item. I cannot bring myself to try anything else my taste buds and my stomach cannot tolerate it.

The food was good, and had a few American items,(fries, mozzarella sticks,) as well as all the usual Chinese foods. For $ 8 it was a good deal. The food was very fresh, but we were also there right after opening, which may be the time to go.

Typically buffets have almost inedible Food. This buffet has edible food. Is it great? No. It’s decent though. Selection of food is good. But what can you expect.

Used to go here a lot like twice a week when it first opened which is more than 7? Years ago. But now none of my friends go here. The food seems to be very old, not tasty, etc… It is located within shopping center so it can get busy but i think they just stopped trying. Rather go to hibachi buffet 10minutes away

I’m not sure why I keep trying to find a good Chinese buffet but I should know better by now. The idea is an oxymoron. When jim’s buffet first opened it was a pretty good buffet. Now it is anything but. The food looks like it has been sitting all day, it has little to no taste and it pretty unappetizing. Supposedly they have sushi, but tonight it looks plastic and the hibachi grill food doesn’t look fresh either. I am extremely disappointed and won’t be coming back. Do yourself a favor and try a different eatery in the shopping center, I’m sure they are better!

We ate here somewhat by accident on a Friday night and both enjoyed it. I am surprised by all the negative reviews, but perhaps the quality is inconsistent. I’ve only been here once and thought it was OK. The place is a bit«worn.» However, I found that there is such a wide variety of items that if you looked around and chose carefully, you could get a really good meal and for a reasonable price. The sushi was freshly made and the fellow making it was very friendly and willing to explain it. There was a variety of asian and western offerings. I especially liked the bok choi sautéed in oil and garlic. The baked salmon was good, as were the various offerings of shrimp. The calamari had been cooked to oblivion, so I avoided that. There was fresh fruit available, and fresh salad greens as well. The ice cream for desert was more than OK, so I’m surprised by comments that it was flavorless. Mine was great. I will go back again and if it is substantially different, I will comment again.

Standard buffet, with a decent selection of dim sum. Pot stickers, boiled dumplings, shu mai, and lotus buns are a nice change. They also have sesame balls. Seafood is more extensive than most buffets. Pick and peel shrimp are fresh. Dessert options are standard, but the fruit is fresh.

I am far from being a fussy, nose in the air diner, but this buffet was so sub par that I can’t believe it stays in business! Even the wonton soup and ice cream were flavorless and had off-putting textures. Then there were those signs admonishing patrons about not wasting food. My first thought was«people aren’t wasting the food; it’s left on the plate because it is gross.» Noodles are tough and chewy, meat is fatty or gristly, the sushi was worse than what you get at the supermarket and no wasabi or ginger slices offered. They don’t even give you soy sauce at the table, which I was desperately searching for to give some flavor to the watery soup broth. Very disappointing!

This is my most favorite Chinese buffet of all time. I live in California now and I look forward to when I come back to lansdale to visit so my family and I can go here. The food is always good. It’s a pretty clean place. I love that they also have fresh sushi made for you. It’s a great place.

The food was okay but days after having eaten at Jim’s I heard of articles in the local newspaper talking about their poor sanitation. If the stories are anywhere near true is not worth taking the chance stayaway!

It’s your standard buffet but I do like the hibachi grill options, such as prawns, tuna, and steak, all seared to your liking. Everything else is the typical fare. The staff are pretty friendly. I haven’t eaten here but do grab a takeout box every so often($ 3.99/lb for lunch).

Food was delicious! Our girls loved the sparkling ceilings and live fish! They also have sushi but make sure they make it fresh for you

Jim’s Buffet is an absolute joke. Definitely the worst buffet I have ever been to. Lets start with the atmosphere. As soon as you enter the«restaurant» you walk into a Koi pond which is overflowing with fish. There is not enough water for the amount of fish in there and the water was disgusting and dirty. I wish i took this as a sign to turn around and leave. The staff was unfriendly and definitely not much help. They barely seated us. The food was really bad too. It tasted as if it was sitting out all day due to it being dried out or overcooked. The food also wasn’t that warm(which I’m sure is a health code violation). I hope I don’t have food poisoning Finally, lets talk about price. It was $ 30 for myself and my fiancé to eat there. Talk about a ripoff! Bottom line, this place should be shut down by a health inspector. Save the aggravation and go to Easton Buffet instead. You will thank me later.

This place is just average at best. It isn’t too bad, the food was warm, but I found the variety rather lacking, although if you are a fan of crawfish and more seafood themed food then they have quite a bit of that around dinner time. Other than that it’s pretty much the usual Chinese food fare, the stand out was the Valentine’s Chicken. I hadn’t had that at any other Chinese Buffet before and I’ve been to a lot of them! From my understanding the Hibachi bar is just alright. They were a bit on the slow side for the hibachi and it wasn’t outstanding but it wasn’t the worst I ever had. The sushi selection is just about what you would expect it to be, some California rolls and then some imitation crab rolls. They did have a Salmon sushi as well but they were missing Octopus on this night. Service was quick, but some of the workers weren’t exactly too friendly. Not too bad but I wasn’t impressed enough to make it a favorite must go to place, but it seems like there is a lack of Chinese Buffets in the area, so it’s not too bad if you are in the mood for Chinese and don’t feel like going too far out of town.

The food selection is good, the tables are clean and the servers are attentive. The Koi Pond definitely needs some cleaning and more water. Does the owner ever read their own reviews? Whatever happened to the cakes in the display trays? This place needs an overhaul!

Great service, good atmosphere. They keep the buffet extremely clean and there is a good selection. Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Potstickers, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli, Soups, Salads and Desserts are all good. Hibachi is a nice touch. Brought my wife home dinner via the carryout menu which was super reasonable. Was dissapointed w/the General TSO Chicken. Sushi is typical buffet sushi(California rolls, etc.)

The place deserves a single star. But, I gave it 2 stars cause I plan to visit there maybe again sometime in the future. I’ve been here over a dozen times. Not really a fan of the place. But, it offers a good bit of selection to mend the cravings for quasi-chinese food(compared to any other buffet in the area for the price). I always feel like the price is much higher than it should be — based on the quality. Lunch is $ 8 and jumps to $ 13(I think) without much of any changes in the selection. The wait staff are ok, some are friendly and work hard for their money. But, I always wonder, these kids should be in highschool. Why aren’t they in school? Do their parents know that they are skipping school to work in a restaurant? And, all of them speak minimal english. Other reviews are spot on. The entrance is the greatest part of the restaurant. Food is ‘Meh” at best. Ever since I found out about noboru, I go there to fulfill the occasional cravings for sushi and quasi-east asian food.

Love the ceiling. Love the Koi. Love the giant Maneki Neko staring at you as you enter the dining room. Unfortunitly the love ends there. Sushi– Think imitation crab(or crab with a «k») in every roll. Krab with avocado, krab with cucumber, krab with cream cheese, krab with eel sauce, krab with cucumber and cream cheese and eel sauce. I ate one piece and turned the rest in to my server. Not worth the calories. Veggies– Delicious string beans, however drenched in oil. Good bok choy, however also drenched in oil. Mushrooms, not good. Don’t expect to save calories by eating vegetables here. Fish– Krab meat drenched in melted cheese, totally worth every last disgusting calorie. Fried calamari, not what you would expect, but good. Whole Tilapia, I’m usually not a fan of picking out bones, however this wasn’t bad. Whole Sardines, Same as the Tilapia. Green Mussels, Not a fan. Fried, fried and more fried– Not that good, but not that bad. Crab Ragoons, good. Spring Rolls, good. Everything else, can’t remember. I don’t eat meat so I can’t comment on that. The soups did not seem appetizing enough for me to try, so I can’t comment on them either. I don’t like doing salad bars at any buffet, and I was feeling disgusting enough to skip over the dessert. How come every time I go to a Chinese Buffet, I leave with feelings of gluttony and regret? It’s like a heavy night of drinking. Sounds like a good idea before hand; seems like a good idea during; definitely a terrible idea after. Oh well, I figure I’ve got another two years before the memory of earlier visits escapes me enough to actually consider another stop at the troth. Until then, I’m happy to skip the all-you-can-eat anything.

The reviews weren’t all that positive, but I wanted to give the restaurant a try anyhow because you can sometimes find a diamond in a dive. I won’t be returning ever… Although if up to my 2 year old daughter we’ll come every day to see the fish. There is a huge Koi pond with fish feed you can purchase to feed them at the entrance. Not sure what the fish had to do with the overall theme since the ceiling is blue with sparkle like glittery cast over it. The food was nothing to write home about and nor were the desserts semi frozen spinning in the glass display case. I really wanted to like the place even though my husband gave up on the spot, but the deal breaker was no hand soap in the entire women’s restroom to wash my hands. The sign clearly states«ALLEMPLOYEE’S MUSTWASHHANDS» how? I couldn’t…
