I went there today with my family 6−7−16 and ordered breakfast and lunch. My daughters sandwich came out with more than one piece of hair in it and they took it back. We waited 15 minutes for a new one and when the bill came her meal was still on it. We asked to speak to the manager Cheryl and she refused to talk to us and left the building. Therefore we still had to pay for the meal because she refused to talk to us or apologize. My daughters meal came out after we were done eating and the poor waitress was so upset that the manager put her in that situation by not coming out. Will never go back again,

3 of the worst eggs I have ever smelled or tasted. I stopped by this restaurant because it was the only one nearby… next time I’ll stay hungry.

The service here is genuinely bad. It’s not even the miserably slow service time, it’s the waitresses themselves. They are consistently rude, angry, and vulgar. It’s not even charming, it’s uncomfortable. The food is okay. The scramblers are actually quite good, but the eggs have the tendency to feel«sweaty» if you get scrambled. The moms special is a good deal for the how much food you get. The layout is cramped and uncomfortable. So really when it comes down to it, the only redeeming thing about this place is the scrambler, but that’s not enough to warrant making a trip to this place.

Sadly, we were once enthusiastic fans of this place but no longer bother with it so much. The food is OK, even great sometimes. However: If you are on a budget, the basic cheap breakfast choices, like two eggs and toast, are much cheaper at a place like Rebecca’s 3 in Upton. It’s kind of hard to have a low-cost(under $ 5) visit here. Seating is cramped and the place tends to be loud. As far as I can recall, there is no booth seating, only counter space and tables. Some tables are right on top of the doors to the restrooms. Other tables are too close to the front door for cold-weather season. Perhaps they should just bite the bullet and remove a few tables. As others have noted, service is not very friendly, and sometimes very slow. You do sometimes get the feeling you’re bothering the wait-staff from something more important when you ask for a refill or the check. I don’t think there is any other restaurant in the area where I have heard so many times, ‘no we can’t do that’, or ‘sorry, it only comes that way’. This place is very inflexible dealing with special requests. Personally, if you’re looking for a great breakfast experience in the area, my choices are the previously mentioned Rebecca’s Place 3 in Upton, or Bert’s Breakfast in South Uxbridge. I have heard good things about Depot Café in the center of town but I haven’t been there myself yet.

Really great breakfast menu! Plenty of gluten free options which has been difficult for me to find in a small town. Wish it was open more often, but happy with its lunch when available!

Cramped areas two are actually right next to toilets eww. We experienced a verbal attack the whole time we sat at the counter waiting for our meals. The owner has no filter on her mouth. We ordered omlets and my husband requested to have some ingredients removed from his order… man that set the owner off she ranted loudly the whole time she cooked our meal. Complaining about why we ordered an omlet if we are just going to pick stuff out of it… I’m not kidding she was nasty. I don’t think she deserves our repeat visit., This owner is working in the wrong business she should work in a prison. Never again!

I was Shell shocked when I paid the check. I ordered French toast and a coke. I asked for a refill to go. It came to 11.69. 2.50 per soda!!! Ridiculous. Never again

Really great food and we got everything from clam chowder to pancakes. The waitress was cantankerous and full of character and I enjoyed it. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were great. Love mom n pop cafes.

We stopped here for lunch on a Friday. The place was packed! We took the only open 4 seater table left. There were a couple tables on the outdoor patio, but it seemed there would be a lot of traffic /road noise. Still, a nice option. The restaurant had exactly what we were looking for — we wanted to eat like the locals since«we’re not from around these here parts.» It seemed like a family run establishment; the waitresses were busy but still smiling & chatting with the customers. Kinda reminded me of Mel’s Diner, if you remember the show«Alice.» I got a salad with grilled chicken, my husband & son got BLTs. We didn’t come here looking for a gourmet meal. We got just what we were looking for, home cooked diner style food. Portions were good & food was prepared as ordered. We left satisfied. As a side note, you’re 65 in older you will not be alone when eating in this establishment. Or maybe there was a senior discount on Fridays…

The food here is amazing. My two over easy eggs were cooked perfectly and all other breakfast meals I’ve had were great too! However I am giving them 3 stars because all the times I have gone the staff is not very friendly and rude. I felt like I was annoying my waitress when I would ask for a refill on my orange juice. Also the most recent time I was there my bill was $ 23 and she charged me $ 32… I like to give people the benefit of the doubt; granted it was probably a mistake but I was still annoyed. They need to update their card processing system(the machine is extremely slow and they have to put in the total and card number themselves) time to update the register.

I went here with my family and the service was absolutely terrible. We had to wait 45 minutes and didn’t even get served. We got our drinks after 10 minutes and ordered our food. It never came after we waited 45 minutes. They simply were under staffed. Only 3 people working the entire restaurant. A cook and two waitresses. The food was average for the amount of time we had to wait. If a 0 star option was available then that’s what they would get.

They’re crab cake skillet is to die for! Comes hot and sizzling and huge!!! And they have probably the biggest gluten free menu(at least for breakfast) I’ve seen! The waitress was pretty nice and helpful :) a little expensive for me but worth it!!!

Staff acted as though we were a horrible burden to them being able to operate their restaurant. It wasn’t just the grumpy young woman working the counter either. The older woman waiting tables was just short of sneering at us when we walked in. It wasn’t busy either. There was only one other table with a couple sitting there that was getting ignored as well. The food was okay however.

Meh. It was super packed, we stood in what felt like the middle of the place waiting to be seated, sat at a dirty table. Which also had a broken leg bc when we tried to slide the table away from the entry door(which everytime the door opened it was freezing) the table almost fell over. Wasn’t anything to write home about. As a girl from south Georgia their grits were terrible! Not cooked enough, needed a LOT more butter, salt and cheese! To be expected though but my review isn’t based on grits it was sub par place, I wont be back.

Not a bad stop for a warm, family oriented atmosphere. Be wary, if you come on the weekend it will be quite crowded. The food is solidly in the middle of the road. Nothing spectacular but it will get the job done. Plenty of choices on the menu will keep you coming back if you enjoyed the meal. On my visit in particular there were many small children which made for a loud dining area. Prices are fair for the quality of food. Only gripe would probably be to the informality of the waitstaff. They seemed like overworked teenagers. Most wear jeans and tshirts, no sense of uniform among all of the staff. Our waitress had to come back twice to verify our drink order and still forgot some of it.

Local place that is great for breakfast. The front room may appear small, but there are actually two back rooms. It’s a converted house but you would only know that if you went into the back rooms. You got to try their crepes. It’s not on the menu, but order the apple and cream cheese crepes. They’re to die for!

Great local breakfast spot. I’ve had breakfast and lunch there, and while it’s not a 5 star fancy place, the food is always good, fresh, and hearty. The service is prompt and even when busy the ladies do their best to pay attention to every single customer. This morning I tried the sausage gravy and biscuits, and it was as good as I’ve had down south(and I’ve been below the Mason-Dixon line many times). I noticed another reviewer complaining about the local older people that sometimes«cluster» there — and all I can say is, show the older folks a little respect — they’ve been supporting that place since you were in diapers. It will happen to you someday!

The prices and services are reasonable to great. The layout of the restaurant is interesting; sitting in the back is quite literally sitting in the back of a house(you go through a couple of hallways and there you are, in a little dining area with a kitchen and there is a separate dining room for big parties). I have been here probably about twenty times or more. The food is consistently ok to good. One time I got french toast with strawberries and it came out with still frozen strawberries on top. I waited for the waitress to grab me some non frozen or maybe find another fruit to put on top, and it took a while to get her attention. In the meanwhile the ice(still visible on the strawberries) started melting into my french toast and made it super soggy. When she did come back she replaced the strawberries, which were still cold, and I was left with soggy french toast and cold, still partially frozen strawberries. That was the worst experience I had there, so all in all it could have been worse. However, recently the cook changed and so did a couple of the staff and this is when I started experiencing problems(like the one above). My boyfriend reported he started getting sick eating there about 6 months ago and we had to stop going. Friends and family that went there reported either feeling sick or being ill for days. We don’t really know what the problem is, but we hope it’s only temporary! We now go to Rebecca’s in Upton or Valley Café in Whitinsville. The former has a selection as vast as Mom’s with slower service but fresher, better tasting food. Valley Café’s prices are a bit high but the bread is homemade and the pancakes are huge. In terms of quality, Mom’s is very average but if you need to be in and out it;s a good place for breakfast. As for lunch, I have a limited experience but I have heard it too is very average.

Decisions, decisions. Mom’s offers a HUGE breakfast menu. It took us a few minutes to decide as everything looked so good. Mrs B chose to customize an omelet for herself. I stepped a bit outside my normal comfort zone and ordered an Ital ion Breakfast Bowl. We were quite happy with our choices. The plates were plentiful and the food tasted great. My meal was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I would have given Mom’s five stars if not for the service. Our server never greeted us right away and came over as soon as we put our menus on the table. The wait for our meal was quite reasonable. After the meal was served things headed south. While she did check n us a few times, it was more of a drive by, never actually stopping at our table, but asking how things were as she walked past us. The only time she actually stopped at our table was to drop off our bill, which was the first time I was able to give her a coupon. She was nice enough to go back to the counter and whine to one of the other customers(a regular, I’m guessing) about the extra work she had to do. I can live with her being upset(OK, not really), but don’t complain about have to actually do you job in front of customers.
