The joy.
The pure, unadulterated joy of biting into a Chapps burger. So juicy and flavorful, perfectly cultivated and personalized to meet my exact expectations… truly an awesome experience every time. And those sweet potato fries… yummmm. One of my absolute favorite places to get a burger. They have tons of other options too, and I’m sure they are great. Someday I’ll have to branch out and try them.
In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy my juicy, beefy masterpiece.

Very good! Came here on 26 December and the food was delicious. They take their humble time cooking, so if you’re not a patient person or is in a rush, I wouldn’t recommend you think this place.
Many great selections, had the Hickory Burger so that spicy fries.

I waited over 12 minutes for a burger and sweet potato fries and my burger wasn’t even hot or my fries. That definitely was a turnoff for me considering I paid $ 10 for it.

If you want a real, tasty, full of flavor burger –Chapp’s has that with their Nolan Ryan beef burgers! Best in Texas!

The service and food was great! I had the blue cheese burger and the fries were amazing, hand cut and everything was fresh! Grass fed beef too (: Plus the employees were so sweet and nice! Definitely going back!

I get really excited about this place! I get the Baby Chapps and it’s the perfect amount of food for me. Everything is always fresh and fast. One of our favorites in the area.

I have been here tons… once a week for a long while. But service obviously slacks when the manager is not here.
When someone orders mustard and cheese only, mayo and cheese is delivered out then taken back to be fixed, a person expects things to be fixed. Not covered up. The mayo was wiped off the patty, mustard covered all over the top and bottom buns, and another piece of cheese thrown on it (not melted like the other piece still on the patty)… If an establishment messes up with condiments, a new burger should be made. These people do not do that. We won’t be back.

Delish, onion rings crispy and flavorful, house Ranch is tasty. Good service. We’ll need coming back.

Ordered the chili burger w/​fries pretty bomb burger rates up there with the best. You can taste that the quality of the beef is top notch. You walk in and order then sit down… wish they had beer but that will be next stop so that’s ok. Overall it was a great burger and I will be back next time I’m the mood for top notch burger.

The burgers here have great taste and are made when you order them, so they always come out fresh. Great service and great atmosphere. I suggest this place if you are looking for a great burger.

I haven’t been here in a really long time and I was craving a good «non-​fast food» type burger that was close. I popped in yesterday evening and it was decently busy. I ordered a cheeseburger and the loaded fries to go. The service was exceptional from the staff and they offered me a drink as I waited. The food took about 5 – 10 minutes. When I got home (5 – 10 mins) the food was still hot and very fresh. The fries seemed hand cut, fresh and tasty! The burgers are SO GOOD! They are huge and the buns are fluffy, grilled, buttery, and look out of a picture. They put the burgers in styrofoam containers so they aren’t smashed in transit which I really appreciated! The ONLY negative thing I have to say is I prefer green onions/​chives on loaded fries versus jalapeños. And I asked for a side of sour cream for the fries (comes with ranch) but they didn’t have any. Not a huge deal. I survived! :)

If you’re looking for a great burger, this is the place. I am a fan of bacon cheeseburgers and was not let down here! I ordered mine with grilled onions. The way they toast the buns makes the burger even better. With a little bit of crisp on the bun and a huge beef patty it makes for an excellent burger! There is a bit of a wait to ensure you get a fresh burger and fries but it’s worth it! Also, we came at a busy lunch hour so a bit of a wait is to be expected. There were lots of large groups and they kept the food coming out in a timely manner. We will be back!

Worst experience ever. Ordered my burger, etc and paid. Sat down and after waiting 25 minutes, walked up to the counter and asked if my order was almost ready. They never turned it in! I asked for my money back and left. The only response I received was, I’m sorry, would you like your drink in a to go cup? No! And never going back!

Excellent burger spot. The bacon cheeseburger is great and the fries were top notch. Having Big Red as a fountain option is a definite plus!

I used to like coming here until my last visit… the burger tasted like a frozen pattie that was freezer burnt and dried out. I also realized that they charge you for every little thing (although they make it sound like it’s free when they ask you while you’re ordering) «Would you like white or wheat? Raw onions or grilled? Ranch with your fries?» Yes every little thing is nickled and dimed. My daughter and I each ordered the baby chapps deal with water and our bill totaled $ 18 when it should have been closer to $ 10. No thanks — we won’t be back.

I had the mushroom burger and fries and was very satisfied with everything. The burger had a good tasting patty and the mushrooms complimented it well. The fries where crunchy and a good potato flavor. I think a burger, fries, and a drink cost around $ 7 – 10 which was not bad.

I ordered a to-​go Grilled Chicken salad for 7.99 which was a mistake. It was TINY. I saw the picture posted here of the big salad in the bowl and wanted that. Instead it was in a to-​go container that has the one big compartment and 2 little ones. The salad was only in the one big compartment and the other 2 were used for the dressing and crackers. When I am eating a salad as a meal, I want it to be big. I guess I should have ordered it for eat-​in. My friends burger looked really good so that is why I gave them the 3 star A-​OK rating. AVOID THE TAKE OUT SALAD! RIP-​OFF Yes, I’m cranky because I’m still hungry :)

After running 13.1 miles, the next thing to do is get lots of protein into your body. Chapps is a great little place to go to after participating in the Cowtown Marathon. It’s about 20 minutes away from the Will Rogers Memorial Center in downtown Fort Worth.
It’s a quaint and calm burger place that looks really clean. The young woman working there was extremely friendly and patient as all of us took our orders. The burger pricing is okay here. Their burgers average about $ 5 — $ 9 (not including fries).
As all the other reviews mention, Chapps has a very long waiting time. It’s a little disappointing because the place isn’t busy at all. And the space is considerably small so it’s rather shocking to have to wait so long for a burger. Also, I don’t know what people are saying about the Cajun fries. I think Chapps Café cajun fries are nothing spectacular but a good pairing to the good ol’ burger. It’s a little heavy on the peppery side as far as cajun seasoning goes. I think if they sprinkled lightly the same seasoning on sweet potatoes they would have a more winning combination. I did find that the Bleu Cheese burger was very nice. It had a very all around bleu cheese taste.
I think it’s a great go between if you’re not willing to shell thousands of dollars for gourmet burgers but definitely a step up from a burger at Wendys or McDonalds. A few handful of options that you can personalize your way.
