The Magic of Believing

I just got a reading over the phone; so can only talk about the experience… I will totally five star it if some of the things come through.
I don’t know how good she is, but I was instructed to send a picture of myself and anyone I had questions about. She totally just started without any hesitation, and told me who I would meet, zodiac, age range, occupation, approximate living situation, and name. The problem to me was that other than the zodiac, this described my ex almost exactly, even the name.

Darlyne. She was eating pretzel thins and honey mustard all the while while informing me of my future. Listen to this prize:
1. I like helping people (after telling her I’m a nurse)
2. I’m insightful and really listen to people (after telling her I’m going to be a psych nurse)
3. I will have big babies (talk about out of LEFT FIELD) and most likely twins (which I have heard before from palm readers)
4. I will befriend a tall dark handsome Frenchman/​Ukrainian man named Maurice whose work I will admire greatly… or maybe his name won’t be Maurice (after she must have dropped some acid)
5. My boyfriend is not «the one» (after I tell her I don’t buy the whole «soulmate» thing)
6. I will marry a hockey player (after the Bruins won the Stanley Cup)
All I heard besides the Charlie Brown wamp wamp wamp wamp was MAURICE AND BIG BABIES.
Her assistant (who repeatedly stretched out on a medicine ball as we were in the waiting room) interrupted our session about 6 times.
The cassette player she recorded didn’t work.
She was crazy expensive.
I felt like I knew her already as soon as I sat down. Instantly comfortable. Very weird experience. Curiosity MIGHT bring me back.

I don’t know that it’s totally fair to give someone a rating based on a reading you never had … there may have been a very good reason for her not being there. Other people have life emergencies and mess-​ups too, you know.
I think that review should be taken down until the person actually gets a reading.
I had two readings from her back in 1995 and in 1999 and everything was spot on. The only thing that didn’t occur (or hasn’t yet) is the having three children thing. She somehow knew the name of the man I ended up marrying … but beyond that, I have friends and relatives that go to her and get excellent readings. Just remember that tarot and psychic readings are always a reading of the energies at work, and some of it is a true gift of seeing the future — but we all have choices.

My mom loves this kind of stuff and is always asking me to come with her. A lot of the things Darlyne said were spot-​on and came true a year or so later so I guess those are good odds!
