One of the better mini golf courses in myrtle beach, out of all the ones I’ve been to in north Myrtle beach this one is the one to go to if you are staying in the area and not wanting to travel far to one. Has one indoor course and one out door so if it’s really hot or raining it provides a nice activity to get out of the weather

We had a great time playing the indoor course this weekend! There were very few other people there so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I like the music/environment and you can’t beat playing mini golf with a $ 3.50 beer(never done that before but it was hilarious). Also the employee working there was very nice and friendly. Had an awesome time!

Rain or shine, this place is incredible. Neill greeted us as soon as we walked in… He was absolutely hilarious and had my teenagers smiling too. Sold us a Hopper pass for $ 20/pp and we were able to enjoy unlimited golf at all three courses, all in one day! 18 holes inside were challenging, the water got us every time on hole 3… But we made it… then we went upstairs for 6 more holes and my son got 3 hole in ones in a row! This place feels so real like you are actually inside the cave of a volcano! The outdoor course is so beautiful with the hibiscus flowers and oleanders and the red water is so beautiful, especially when the falls light up for«the show» every 30 minutes and the fireball shoots high into the air. We could actually feel the heat down on the ground! Angela came around outside on her course walk to ask how we were doing and also offered to bring us some water or soda or even an ice cold beer… After speaking with her we learned she was the manager… What a great personality, she really enjoys her Job and cares about families and her customers having fun there. Thank you for such a great time, we will be back soon!

This place is neat! Not only do they have 2 separate courses, but one of them is entirely inside which helps when its raining. Courses are fun and and entertaining. Locals discount!

While visiting Sunset Beach(September 2014), we had a day where the weather would just not cooperate for a beach day. We decided to go mini golfing and ended up at Molten Mountain. My four-year old was very excited over the theme and could not wait to get inside. Upon walking in, the first thing that we noticed was the stale odor. The décor, although fun, definitely needed some updating. At some of the holes, we were hit in the head with drops of water from the ceiling. Of course, all of these things did not keep us from having a good time. There were not many people playing the day that we went, so that was an added bonus. We didn’t have to worry about how slow we were moving with a small child. If it rains on us again while we are at the beach, we might consider returning. I hope that they make a few updates before our next time.

Even though you’re at the beach, there are just times when the weather doesn’t cooperate, so you need to look for a place that has indoor golfing options(of the miniature variety). Strangely, there aren’t too many of them available, so we chose the Molten Mountain. The place really isn’t that bad — but ultimately the ads advertise something a bit different than what you get(as is usually the case). It’s essentially the same thing as you’ll find outside, just crammed into a giant paper«mountain» of sorts, and just on the borderline of being one of those blacklight indoor courses that usually surfaces around Halloween time each year. It can also get awfully humid inside, when everyone runs indoors and starts sweating up the place, kids are crying, the backup gets bad, and the AC isn’t working. Put another way: You might be better just playing outside in the rain. What is really needed is a crazy golf course, where you actually have windmills and obstacles and whatnot in the way, rather than just a few angles here and there — but I think most of those went out of style years ago. If they could do that, and have the option to play indoors, we’d have a real winner.

Only indoor mini-golf we found in Myrtle Beach, and only one of their two courses is inside. Unfortunately, the indoor course is boring. The outdoor is better but we played it in heavy rain so any challenge came from judging the water*. Without the puddles, I think it might have been just as boring. * Rain can be your friend — take an umbrella, play through the water and enjoy having the course to yourselves!

We invested in the all day pass thinking that we would visit their 2 other locations as well. The place is nice, but the holes are very similar and not very challenging. This would definitely be a good place for younger kids though. We loved that there were 18 holes inside the mountain, which was a refreshing break from the hot 18 holes outside.

In-door out-door mini golf. We could see the out –door course was busy so we chose the nice cool in-door course. They had some challenge to the course. A Creek(I think it was suppose to be lava) of red water was running through a part of the course creepy but cool. They had this cool machine that you returned your balls in and each person could win a free slushy. Only one of the three of us got a free slushy. Little to much refresher was being sprayed. Staff was nice though.

If you want to play lots of mini golf, here’s the way to go: go to Molten Mountain(No. Myrtle), Mutiny Bay(No. Myrtle), or Cancoom Lagoon(MB) and buy the«Paradise Passport» for $ 30 person. You will get 3 days of unlimited play to use at any of the courses. You pick which 3 days over the course of a week. Half the courses are indoors, so it it’s too hot or rainy you still play(all you want). Wife and I bought the passport($ 60) and figured we would have spent over $ 200 to play as much as we did. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Avoid this place… terrible management… My son and I had spent most of the day outside, so we thought we’d give the indoor course at Molten Mountain a try. Big mistake. My son, like lots of kids, gets nervous when it’s dark and there are loud noises. We asked the woman at the front desk if we could go in briefly and see if the dark/noises of the volcano would scare my son. She said their policy forbids that. Really? Their policy forbids a customer from glancing over their course? Sounds like they don’t have much confidence in the entertainment value of their product. I questioned her further, and she said we could pay and then go in. I asked her if we’d be able to get our money back if the noises disturbed my son, and she said no, but we could switch to the outdoor course. It’s 98 degrees outside, so I said no thanks. We will avoid this place until it has an ‘Under New Management sign’ over the front door.

Who doesn’t love themed mini golf? If you don’t then you need to set your priorities straight! ;p This place is actually pretty cute. we played the outdoor course because the indoor one smelled funny… that and it was a gorgeous day outside. A big bonus to this place is this addition of spinners that mix up things a bit. For example, hit the ball with the wrong end of your club, putt with your hands behind your back, dance the hula, etc. etc. It definitely made for some laughs! I wish the mountain actually did something cool but as far as I can tell it’s just photoshopped in on their site’s pictures! There’s rumbling and colored water that’s supposed to be lava. it’s cute! I would definitely go there again!

Indoor-outdoor mini-golf with a volcano motif… The indoor course is challenging. We didn’t try the outdoor course. My sons loved it. There are better mini-golf experiences to be had in the area, but if it is raining, or dark, or cold, this is a good choice.
