The staff here are young, hip, knowledgeable and go the extra step to make sure your production goes well while maintaining the professionalism needed with a production rental house. Renting with these guys feels like renting from a friend whom just happens to have the right gear.

Frequent BVR customers, they have been a go-to for 10 years plus. Always helpful, detailed and knowledgeable about gear I’m unfamiliar with. The manager Eden has been there since I’ve started renting from BVR and always goes above her duty as manager, opening up off hours, rushing orders when needed and delivering items when I’m in a bind. When I’m in a tough spot, Eden and BVR always come through for me. Budget Video is a great rental house, I would recommend them to anyone that is in need of equipment.

I love Budget Video Rentals! Eden over there is a HUGE help! Whether I’m on a show with a big budget that’s looking for tons of gear, or a pilot with a super tight budget… She works with me to get me what I need and at a great price! I’ve been using them for years and recommending them to all my fellow TV friends. They save the day, last minute needs, hard to source items… You name it! Thank Budget and especially Eden! You guys are the best!!!

Budget Video Rentals is by far the WORST equipment rental company I’ve ever dealt with. This mom-and-pop rental«company» is run by David Haylock, known by production companies around Miami as unreliable, untrustworthy, temperamental, and all-around looney. Attempting to stay true to the name of the company, David makes it seem as though he’s saving you money by discounting items or throwing in goodies for«free»(Rest assured that he’ll make sure to let you know — repeatedly — verbally and in writting that he’s doing this for you) while hiding costs in other places. DON’T BEFOOLED, the only thing Haylock cares about is money, and he will nickle and dime you all the way to the bank. The technicians working here may very well be the only good thing about this place, and that’s saying a lot seeing as they barely know about the equipment they deal with. Their lead technician ‘Hans’ can barely speak English, is uncomprehensable over the phone(I assure you that you WILL have to call from the field due to something broken, malfunctioning or flat out missing) and spent a long time with me «learning» how to use an external recorder he had to ultimately replace for another one as he could not figure out how it worked. I even told him what he needed to make it work and they incredibly didnt have the required cable in-house. Finally, to top this incredible bunch of under-qualified employees working under one roof, is Budget Video’s rental manager, Eden. In all my 25+ years of film experience, I have never dealt with a more frustratingly incompetent person. She knows close to nothing about the equipment she supervises, is constantly trying to add unnecessary equipment to your order, and will charge M&D upon return for things that you didn’t ask for(They mistakenly charged my CC without warning and we had to halt production to resolve the issue). Eden is rude, condescending to both customers and her staff and should be far away from film production and even managment roles. In short, AVOIDBVRATALLCOSTS. Look to rent from V.E.R., Midtown or Filmtrade if you’re producing in the area. It’ll save you a lot of headaches along the way.

I must say, Budget Video is THE best. Their staff is super knowledgeable and I wouldn’t rent anywhere else. Our company, Valholla Entertainment, has been renting from Budget for years. It’s truly a 1 stop shop!

I had to travel to Miami last minute for a shoot and pretty much searched for every Rental House from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. Budget Video Rentals had by far the best prices and the equipment was in good shape. They provided us with everything we needed and all was working in order. We rented 6 sandbags, C stands, a kessler cineslider, and many other necessary pieces of gear. And to top it off, our last day of shooting was cancelled and Eden happily refunded the second day we had initially paid for. All the employees were super helpful and nice. The gear was in good shape. The prices were more than fair. I got no complaints here. Will definitely use them again when shooting in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

I recently had a last minute need for video equipment and the folks @ Budget Video Rentals saved my butt. They even delivered the gear for me.
