Excellent Chinese restaurant, food and experience. This is not the traditional american Chinese but instead a restaurant where Chinese in the area dine. I have been there three times and the food is delicious. Whatever was not delicious was based on my taste rather than food quality. By the way they have a funky menu that includes frog and they get your crab or lobster straight from the fishbowl when you order it. They are very different from you typical restaurant. — As a mom of two american children, I put a movie on the phone while we waited for the food. When the waiter came with the food, he told the kids they should pause the movie to eat. — They have no kids chopsticks or dessert. — Last night there was a short wait but as we were 3 people and the other waiting people were a couple(and their tables are large) they offered to sit us together and share the table(which we ended doing, but which restaurant would offer you that?!?) Ambiance is typical Chinese, carpet on the floor(that I really hate…) but then without the carpet, it would look weird :-) Craving to return.

Came here for lunch today with coworkers. They’ve been here before, but it was my first time. They offer lunch specials, which include an entrée, rice, egg roll and soup. I ordered the Szechuan beef, fried rice, hot and sour soup and egg roll. The Szechuan beef was good, but didn’t deliver on spice. The hot and sour soup was good and had a good spice. The egg roll was below average. All of this was $ 10 plus tax and tip. The service was fast and efficient, but they were too busy to be personable.

Food at this place is mediocre at best! The service was ok until my party was almost finished with our ‘less than average’ meal. Our bill ended up being an odd figure so we rounded it off to the nearest tenth on the credit card and then the waiter decides to open his mouth before we decided on a cash tip. He asked us all if we enjoyed the service, the food, and ‘to help him out here.’ and we were still chewing our food. I should have burned cash in front of him or stiffed him(because he probably was expecting it anyways) to display how unethical it is for a waiter to beg for money. I mean, I get more respect from bums off the streets of New York. No class whatsoever. I would come here only if McDonald’s is closed for the day…

I love this place but General Tso chicken, a shrimp fried rice, a small bottled Sutter Home(Cabernet Sauvignon), and two Sprites in a can should not cost $ 62!!!

Delicious! Legit. I had the bbq pork with shrimp wonton noodle soup. It can out super hot! :) no complaints. Savory. It can with 4 wontons and Chinese broccoli. Highly recommend when you are feeling the need to kick a stubborn cold. Lol definitely coming back and trying the other dishes.

This is my favorite place to get Hong Kong BBQ. Not only is the food fresh, but it tastes pretty amazing. The physical aspects of the restaurant aren’t too appealing as other restaurants simply because King’s Palace has been around North Miami Beach for years. But definitely do not judge a book by it’s cover. The flavor if the«Cha Siu» has the perfect balance of savory and sweetness. Sold at $ 5/lb. I haven’t found a better place for Cha Siu just yet, so King’s Palace still hold the crown.(hehe) Another dish I recommend is the Fried Flounder with Pepper and Salt(龍利). It’s meant for about 4 people. The fish fillets are chopped into nuggets and deep fried and garnished with jalapeños, fried garlic, and salt & pepper. About $ 29 As you can see, the food’s pricing is a little on the higher end. In my opinion, the prices are rising and the portions are shrinking. If they increase their portions just by a tad, it would have a perfect 5. Something special about this restaurant is that you can request them not to add MSG, salt etc. Just gotta ask!

what can i say, as a south east asian living in miami. This place is as awesome as it can get… its like a typical hong kong restaurant where u can find all the goodies. roast pork, bbq pork… stuff that u dont find in the regular«chinese» restaurants scattered around miami. i would recommend the combination platters(duck, chicken, pork) the soups are good. i always order the sharks fin with crab meat. the garlic chicken is juicy and crispy at the right places. the waiter recommended the general tao’s chicken which was pretty good as well. all in all. i enjoy everything from this place. but i have never tried the seafood so i shall not comment on that. the food also comes fairly fast. and waiters are friendly. If u are looking to get real authentic hong kong food. this is the spot to be in. seriously. what are u waiting for.

Authentic and delicious! I lived in Hong Kong for a couple of years and since we’ve been back it’s been impossible to find authentic Chinese food that is all about fresh flavors and recipes. This is the spot! Don’t expect American Chinese dishes — fried and smothered with soy sauce. Loved the BBQ pork, noodle Soup, and vegetables(Chinese broccoli, snap peas… sautéed with garlic and full of a smokey favor). Can’t wait to go back and try their Peking duck and more seafood dishes. The place was busy on a Sunday for lunch with mostly Asian guests — always a good sign.

Worthless service, rude, found a huge dead fly in my soup and they denied replacing my plate so I walked out of there. This place will be shut down soon.

Food– Delicious dumpling soup. Order the combo which brings bbq pork with fried rice, and an egg roll,(all of this for just $ 13.00) ! Amazing price but it tasted okay nothing special. They do serve big portion, one combo is great for two/three people. They have their fish/lobster/crabs fresh out of the water from a tank(literally in the entrance right when go inside) so the seafood must been pretty good, would go back to try it. Service– There were only two waiters serving everybody in the restaurant, I had to wait too long for a cup of water/napkins/plates/etc. So I gave up on ordering different types of sauces for my food. Atmosphere– Didn’t like how dark it is inside, no vibrant colors or much lightning. Another thing is how their only entrance is kinda of a back door. Overall, it’s a good place to take out late Chinese dinner for the low$. I will definitely come back for their soups and maybe try their seafood as well.

I stopped by because I had a taste for some good Chinese food. Well, I couldn’t decide what I wanted, so I looked around the room at what others were eating and decided on the Duck &BBQ Pork soup, along with some pan fried pot stickers. I couldn’t have mad a better choice! The post stickers were great, and they were enhanced by the ponzu sauce. The soup was incredibly tasty with some of the most incredible duck I have ever had. The flavor was like something out of a movie. That’s right, it was that good, the perfect combination of salt and natural flavors of the duck and pork. The vegetables were fresh. I’m not sure what they were, but it was green like a think broccoli stalk with a leafy section. The noodle were ramen type, and firm in consistency. I enjoyed the leftover later on in the evening, and it was just as good.

We finally found a good Chinese restaurant in Miami! We went on Sunday evening around 6:30pm and there was plenty of parking. It’s right next to the Bejing Mart, which is a great little Asian market too. Being from California, I was really missing real Chinese food — especially the steamed chicken with ginger garlic sauce. I didn’t see it on the menu, but I asked our server and he said they can make it! So we ordered a half of a chicken for $ 14. The ginger sauce is house made and sooooo amazingly good. Very addictive too. We actually ordered a pint of the sauce to go for $ 6. We’ll eat it with rotisserie chicken or even just plain over rice. We also ordered Salt & Pepper Shrimp, which was very lightly breaded, crispy and the shrimp was cooked nicely. We could get it with the shells on or off. We like it without the shells so it was nice to have the option. I prefer fresh garlic over the dried garlic crunchies though. Overall, it was pretty good, but at $ 17, I’m not sure if we’ll get it again. And finally we ordered the Soy Sauce Noodles for $ 12. They were the best! I love the thin, al dente style pan fried noodles. They seem almost crispy in places. The veggies that were stir fried in were perfectly cooked and so flavorful. I have to get this every time we eat here. And maybe get one order to go too! The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and they were very accommodating to anything we wanted. I love that the whole staff was Chinese, so you know the food going to be authentic. They were even hand making wontons at one of the tables. The gal who was making them said that everything is made fresh. We will definitely be back soon!

A restaurant that I so badly wanted to love, but the food just couldn’t quite get there. I saw enough to intrigue me that I’ll be looking to come back and try different dishes. Here’s where we landed on each dish we tried: — King mushrooms and lotus — one of the best vegetable dishes I have eaten at a Chinese restaurant. I’d absolutely order it again. Great flavors and textures. — Duck tongue with spicy sauce — this was our«reach» dish. It was too much of a reach. The cartilage inside the tongues was in many instances too hard to be chewed and swallowed and had to be spit out. I also found the tongue to have a too-metallic, almost coppery taste. Still, the spicy sauce and the vegetables in the dish were great, and it was nice to have the opportunity to try something I’d never eaten before. On balance, I’d avoid the dish in the future. — Roast duck — quite fatty, and with little meat on the bone. What meat there was had good flavor. Would not bother ordering again. — BBQ roast pork — better than average flavor, and excellent meat quality. A good dish, marred by the fact that it was served only a bit warm, and not hot. — Salt and pepper squid — Really great, though I seemed to like this better than others at the table did. Perfectly cooked squid. — Noodles with shredded duck were fantastic. A light but satisfying dish packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. There’s no atmosphere to speak of, but the service was very friendly. We’ll see if we can find a better combination of dishes in the future.

Now this is a GOOD Chinese joint!!! Honestly, there’s NOT that many good Chinese joints in Florida but this place is really good. The Food-lots of authentic Chinese flavors. The service-pretty fast. The prices-they ain’t bad! **Note: If you just want to take your date back to your house for take out and a movie… then this place is a sure bet!!! So, check it… I ordered the Roast Duck, BBQ Roast Pork and their Canton Style Rice Noodles, they are all so GOOD. Their fried chicken is pretty good too. Before I came to King Palace, I hadn’t had Chinese food since moving away from Chicago in April of 2012. It wasn’t for a lack of interest. I really enjoy Chinese food and it had been a regular staple of my diet since college. My issue was access and quality. Y’see, despite even Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic having a real, bona fide Chinatown, Miami did not. As in, did/does not exist. As in, nothing. So, not wanting to continue to the parade of lackluster Chinese food experiences, I stopped looking. And then I was told to go north. Miami may not have a Chinatown but North Miami Beach did. Sorta. That was good enough for me. Personal affairs found me up that way and, to my surprise, the same road I traveled to get my comic book on also housed a variety of Chinese restaurants with large groups of Chinese folks getting down to some serious eating. Finally. I didn’t waste any time. I dove right in: green tea(hot) in the never-ending pot, hot & sour soup, bbq roast pork and roast duck, clams with black bean sauce, and broccoli with oyster sauce. What? Don’t look at me like that! It had been nearly two years since I’d had this food. I was going all in. Everything tasted fantastic. Seriously. The hot & sour soup was just sour enough with a nice kick. The duck was ridiculous(my favorite bird to eat). My friend and i almost fought over the clams and rather than being an afterthought, the broccoli stood on its own. Our server was nice enough. He wasn’t interested in my life story and he kept it moving but he was by no means rude. Again, in an authentic Chinese restaurant, I expect to be almost ignored. Authentic!

After a week in the Bahamas with no Chinese food in sight my family and I were all going through withdrawals. I found this place on Unilocal and drove 15 miles to get a good Chinese meal before heading off to Key West. The place is a small but the food was very good. There were plenty of regulars when we went for lunch yesterday. We ordered the following some of which were not on the menu Steam Tilapia 5⁄5 excellent fresh just came from the live tanks Hot & Sour Soup 4⁄5 good with plenty of ingredients Lotus Root w/King Mushrooms 5⁄5 thinly slices lotus root Jelly fish with Shredded duck 5⁄5 lightly dressed Silver fish w/Chinese Chives 4⁄5 silver fish was good very little Chinese Chives. To go munchies roast pork for the road. 4⁄5 Great little find in Miami. Décor needs a little work. Fresh fish and crabs in live tanks.
