I go here all the time for the Crispy Rice salad, which is not that easy to find. Soooo delicious! And the places that do have it serve it differently. I’ve had most of the food on the menu since I’ve been going here for many years. It’s all good.

This is my second time comming here I really like their shrimp fried rice, it has a lot of flavor and is delicious. I also like their chicken satay(appetizer) the peanut sauce that comes with it is really good! The reason why I did not rate 5 stars was because of the desert, the mango used was not sweet and was a little brown on some parts. Other than that everything else was good. Service was average.

Though I didn’t actually check my horoscope, I’m pretty sure the stars were aligned when I happen to find this place. Okay it’s not that dramatic, my sister happens to live nearby this little gem out in the valley. While I’m not envious of living in the valley(Not hating, it’s just really far from work) I do envy her for being minutes away from such delicious food. If it weren’t a 40 minute drive going one way without traffic, I would frequent this place more often. I should say upfront that I haven’t tried a ton of things on the menu. I stuck to a few favorites and I’m an addict in the sense that I cannot bring myself to try other things on the menu. As far as the establishment, it’s located in a small plaza that includes a donut place, 7 – 11, and a sushi place that I will bring myself to try sometime. Driving can be a chore because many of the streets have pot holes so be wary of that. TAKENOTE: this is a Thai food restaurant and it’s northern style cuisine as my father as informed me. Being part Thai, my father used to take me up and down the streets of Thai Town in hollywood and have me taste a lot of things. While it was good, I noticed that it all tasted similar and that turned me off. It was good but being similar isn’t exciting. In Thai town, it’s southern style(Please forgive me if I mixed it up, one’s north and the other south but I forget which). My father is very particular and set in his ways so when I brought him to Sri Siam he wasn’t a fan. Too bad for him. What you must absolutely have to get!!! : Crispy Rice Salad W/Sausage. Holy Deity it’s good. You don’t find this salad anywhere else. There’s so much going on in there. Crispy crunch of the rice, heat from chilis, acid from lime, all placed in a little leaf of lettuce. I always get at least 2 and if I bring someone, than 3. Pork Jerky. Yes many places have this but seriously it’s the best here. Combined with the dipping sauce, it’s a vegetarian nightmare. It’s just fried pork but it’s done in such a perfect way. Moo-mi-now. Now this is cool because this is completely off the menu. I don’t know the correct spelling but that’s how it’s pronounced. It’s translated in pork with lemon. If you order this, they will probably ask if you’re Thai. It’s pork strips that are seasoned with lemon and chilis. BEWARNED. It is a very spicy dish and while I order it mild, it’s still hot to me. Like really good Thai places, their mild is medium, their medium is hot, and hot is… you get the picture. Sorry I didn’t grab a picture of this place but it’s good just be careful. They have all the familiar things that you might have seen in other Thai Places. The pad… and the boat noodles… but while I’m sure it’s good, it’s not exciting to me. Why, after all that I’ve said, is it only 4 stars? The mango sticky rice can be a culinary boner killer. They serve it all the time which is troubling because mangos aren’t always in season. The last time my sister asked, they said they had it available but I knew it had to be canned mangos. It really tasted bad and you can tell immediately it was canned. The flavor was off and the texture was very unappealing. I say if it’s not in season, it’s okay to tell people. Other than that one thing, thumbs up. Please try it and you won’t be disappointed. Again just be careful of the heat(Chili) levels. Even though you tell them just a little spicy they might just give you spicy anyway.

Just ate the most AMAZING Pad Thai with chicken that I have ever had! And I try the pad Thai everywhere that I go! The flavor is great and a little bit of lime over the top really makes it that much better! The yellow curry and Thai tea are also very good! I would highly recommend this place!

Had the green curry and it was excellent, it hit the spot for my craving for curry on a cold night like tonight. Much better than Krua Thai down the street. Also got the pad prik king with pork, which my husband and I both loved. It’s located in a strip mall at the corner of Coldwater and vanowen, and parking was easy. Great to add another Thai restaurant to our usual repertoire.

I love this place. My favorite things to get here are the pad see ew, tom kha khai soup, papaya salad(it’s really spicy), and the crab rangoon. They will deliver beyond a 3 mile radius, but you have to order over $ 50 worth of food. That is a lot of crab rangoon…

Absolutely love this place for their Thai crispy rice salad with sausage(10⁄10)!!! I don’t know if there’s any other Thai restaurant that serves this dish. but if there is. please let me know. Thanks!!! My mouth is salivating as i’m writing this post. haha. The dish has the right amount of sour and spice.omgaahhh.it’s so gooood. I’ve also tried the pad thai(4⁄5), tom yum soup(3⁄5), and it’s all good. But low key, I would come here just for the crispy rice salad. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as 711. Happy eating!!!

We love this place and been coming here for years as well as ordering in. Our favorite dish is crispy rice chicken salad. It is not in the menu, but we once seen someone ordering it, and we wanted to try it too. Absolutely amazing unique dish– a must! The portion used to be a big bigger, but with the new management we see a change. Hoping that they will keep it generous. The pork tips and tasty and we love their PaThai– the Tom ka gai is just a o.k. Could be improved. The weak park is the chicken pieces. Sometimes it is too fatty. The service is friendly and parking is available.

One of the worst rad na I have ever had in my life. They dumped a lot of sugar into my rad na and it also had a stench of gaminess on the pork. Will not return. On the side note: their desert is good. Their coconut ice cream is delicious.

I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been good. However, today when I was eating some pad thai that I brought home I bit down on something hard that I could feel breaking in my mouth. That is such an awful and frightening thing to have happen. I thought the worst of it was over until I realized I had bit into a piece of glass! I took the food back and showed it to the guy behind the counter. He looked about as phased as he would have been if I showed him a nickel out of the cash register. I reiterated to him that I nearly ate GLASS! He looked unaffected and asked if I wanted to have him remake it. God, no! Yes, please make me more food from your criminally dangerous kitchen, just hold the shards of broken glass. I can’t go back now, there’s no coming back from that.

Located on corner of Vanowen and Coldwater Canyon, in a small strip mall. This place is very quaint, clean and nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and seem to know their regular customers. Very good food, reasonable prices for lunch. Lunch specials for about $ 8 — $ 10 for soup, egg roll and entrée from 11 to 3 pm Monday through Friday. We ordered BBQ chicken and Spicy noodle with chicken. The soup was very flavorful with little bits of vegetables and flat noodle. The egg roll was made fresh because was crispy and hot upon biting with a side of orange sauce. They also have condiments for spicy at each table. I like how they marinated the moist chicken and retained the crispy skin. My friend who has been here before had the flat noodle, spicy. also good. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

I was visiting in the North Hollywood area and was getting hungry, I pulled out my phone, consulted Unilocal and saw Sri Siam. Thai food sounded good today so I headed on over and found the restaurant in an older strip mall on the North-East corner of Vanowen St and Coldwater Canyon Ave. The restaurant has been here for almost 30 years and although it is showing a little of that age it was exceptionally clean and bright. I would call this a medium to large place considering that Thai restaurants tend o be on the smaller side. There is seating for 44 or so at mostly 4 place tables. A waitress arrived at my table with a menu just moments after I sat down. When she returned I was ready to order, I chose the Pad Kee Mao with Pork which consists of Pork and Flat noodles Stir-Fried with Green Chili, I asked for it to be medium spicy. I also ordered a Thai Tea with Boba. My Thai Tea was brought out right away and after about ten minutes my order arrived. It looked good, it was nicely presented and colorful with the vegetables and flecks of pepper contrasting against the noodles. I took a bite and it tasted as good as it looked, still hot from the pan, very flavorful, the pork was tender, and it was spiced to my liking. I see here on Unilocal that Sri Siam has many fans, you can now count me as one of them.
