This is the worst food truck in Los Angeles I really wish that the health department would check them out They leave garbage all over the street and don’t care about the neighborhood they serve in. Either they need to fix themselves or they need somebody to come out and fix them The food is overpriced and the service is lousy

Wow is this place is the BOMB! If you have had the kogi before(kogi truck is good!), slanging corea is about to take the no 1 spot! Went here for the first time today because they filled in for another truck at a regular location. I had the galbi quesadilla with kimchi inside. Words cannot explain how delicious, savory and flavorful it was. I can only imagine all their options are along those lines of deliciousness. The staff is very nice and upbeat. I just finished my quesadilla and all I can think about is when im gonna be reunited with them again.

Boyfriend and I tried it out for the first time and DELICIOUS! The unique and cool street name and design of the truck are what caught our eyes and my boyfriends love for Korean food. We shared the burger, kimichi quesadillas and veggie dumplings, all good, but burger was definitely my favorite. Would definitely eat here again.

My friend Nilani has a food truck and recommended this truck. I was actually with her when I got a burrito! All I can say is amazing!!!

Great vegetarian options here. You can get tofu burritos/tacos OR veggie burrito/tacos with black beans. The flavor is spot on, they do spicy right, and they have great attitudes. I got 3 tacos for $ 5. That’s nearly unheard of in the gourmet truck world.

Got the mini Bulgogi bowl with veggies instead of rice. The Bulgogi was really good! Not overly greasy or full of soy sauce like some other Korean food trucks that come to our building. The guy taking orders was really nice, accommodating that I didn’t need rice, and the food was prepared fast.

I don’t know why I waited so long to right a review.(sorry guys) I literally eat here religiously. I always get their Kimchi cheese quesadillas and V taco. Always make sure to ask for their«special sauce». The food is seriously good and the vibe and service is just as amazing like the food. You guys are awesome. OH, and I can’t forget to mention every time I go, I get to see Nala she’s a friendly pitbull I get to hang out with while I wait for my food.

The G tacos that were variously advertised as being filled with galbi or angus steak were actually filled with plain-ass ground beef. And though the sauce drizzled on top was alright, the ground beef itself didn’t have much flavor. The cheese sprinkled on top gave it some additional color, but there wasn’t really enough to taste. And the three tacos were swimming in that oil that shows up when you fry ground beef in a pan without draining it(which also doesn’t have that much flavor in it). Generously counting the tortillas and the beef fat /oil, these tacos still only contained about five ingredients total. When I go for Korean Mexican fusion, I want flavor and complexity dammit. Overall, I’m only out $ 5 for three street tacos, but somehow the lack of flavor and substance made me even hungrier than I was before I ate these tacos, so I had to run back downstairs to go get a make-up lunch at the Japanese supermarket across the street. So this was actually like a $ 10 lunch choice.

Finally made the time to write a review. I’ve tried a good amount, if not all, of their choices, so my review will be a little of everything. Reviews generally tend to focus around just the food that’s offered, but I think it’s just as important to highlight the amazing service, warm personalities, and genuinely enthusiastic people inside the truck!(Leave them a tip and you’ll see what I mean haha) These guys not only know how to bring in new customers, but they remember their repeat customers too! Means a lot being remembered by people who probably see upwards of 1000+ faces every single day! Not only that, but they treat their customers right, serve them great food super fast, and are always posted around some interesting places! Now for the best part of Slanging Corea… THEFOOD!!! I don’t even know where to begin… I guess, first and foremost, they obviously offer your typical Mexican/Korean fusion items(burrito, tacos, quesadilla), with protein options that include chicken, sweet beef(bulgogi), spicy pork(most popular, I believe), and even tofu! The burrito and quesadilla [offered with or without kimchi] are served literally fresh off the grill(quesadilla was ready and burning hot with crispy deliciousness before I even asked and the burrito was crispy, just how I like it, on all sides! Served with a side of their sauce and a few limes, I was DONE. Great portions with great tastes). BUT for the adventure seekers, they also offer rice bowls, dumplings, grilled cheese, and my personal favorite… THEBURGER!!! It’s a FAT patty cooked medium, topped with just cilantro and their special sauce(it’s how I like it, but they cook it however you want). The price did initially turn me off of the burger, but when you see that beautiful thing come out of the truck, you’ll understand why. It’s more than worth it. All items had the option of add-ons, like additional cilantro, kimchi, cheese, slaw, etc. I’ve also, on occasion, seen bacon added to multiple items over my many visits. But the one thing that, I believe, keeps the customers coming back is… …THESAUCE. I’ve had my fair share of sauces, but this concoction of spicy, sweet, tangy, and creamy, plus other flavors I can’t figure out, will have your taste buds begging to be covered in it, bukake-style. It’s become an addiction of mine and it’s not uncommon for customers to come back, just to try the sauce again.(I’ve seen it happen!) BUT be forewarned, they’re called SLANGING Corea for a reason. That sauce will get you hooked and it’ll be the only thing you think about. These gentlemen just know they’re doing. If nothing else, these guys know how to make some amazing food and treat their customers with respect! If you find yourself staring at the truck on the street or hear about a future event online, do yourself a favor stop by. Even if you’re just there to get swept away in the delicious aroma. Whatever you need, these guys got your fix.

I love this truck. I’ve now tried several more menu items. The burritos are really great and I love that they put them on the grill to heat up the tortilla. Adds some nice browning on the tortilla. Also a big fan of the rice plates, it is a lot of food. The Mandu which are veggie dumplings are tasty as well. I’m slowly working my way through the menu

Contacted these guys because I work for at a company building that has very little food options around… They were a random pick out of a bunch and they turned out to be one of the best ! The cook up some mean dishes ! … By the way the sauce they put on the tacos and inside the burritos is liquid gold ! Something out of the heavens I tell ya. Not to mention these dudes are some humble peeps. They would hook me up every time I would bring them by. Worked well when I would forget my lunch or my wallet! I would recommend them to any building with 100+ employees. Get them a place to park and let the magic begin. They’re quick ! They’re good ! They’re reasonable with price ! Can’t ask for more !

I want to give 5 stars but I got food poisoning over the weekend after trying it for the first time at the Donate Life Run/Walk for charity, it happened one day before I left for Disneyland with my daughter on the last possible day I could take her to see Frozen Fun before it leaves California Adventure Park! Ugh. So needless to say I was NOT a happy camper since I was up all night with the sickness. First of all the food was pretty decent so if you want my opinion on taste, creativity and presentation that would most likely be 4 stars and I would give 5 stars for friendliness and service. I just have to tell it like it is. I just ran a 5k pushing my daughter in the jogging stroller, I was hot, tired and hungry when I ordered the Burrito with Kimchi and I was excited to try it, the taste was different but I liked it enough to eat the entire thing, but I was also very hungry after running. They may have been rushed that day due to the crowd and maybe my chicken was not cooked but I was sick the entire day and all through the night(I don’t need to go into details, I will spare you that pain but just know I have never ever been sick like that in my whole life and it happened immediately after I ate, I had to pull off the road and go into the nearest restroom and it continued all through the night). I am now afraid to eat from a food truck but I will probably be back at it after the fear subsides. I would still recommend this food truck, but I wanted to give an honest review.

Let me first begin by saying how awesome their name is; SLANGINGCOREA. It’s unique, catchy, and different! On that note, their unique name describes their food perfectly. A Mexican-Asian fusion that works so well together, I can’t believe there aren’t any other food trucks like this one. The food is AMAZING. My favorites are the burrito and tacos and both always leave me hungry for more. Tacos: incredibly juicy and tender meat cooked to perfection! Make sure you add the lime because it makes all the difference! I could probably eat 5 or 6 of these without feeling guilty. Burrito: The combination of the slaw and special sauce tie in all of the Mexican-Korean flavors, it’s just perfection. Btw they’re pretty fast on getting out orders, even when there’s a line. Overall, this is a one-of-a-kind food truck that serves up great food and provides amazing service! 5 stars for Slanging Corea!

Better than the kortacos in NYC — especially in terms of quality and freshness. Got the bulgolgi tacos when Slanging Corea was the food truck of the night at EightyTwo. The bulgogi is not your typical stringy mess that you may be used to, but perfectly marinated pieces of beef. Met Chris, one of the owners — he seemed to be a super chill guy who enjoyed what he was doing(and could definitely hold a good — and funny — conversation)

Korean fusion food trucks have been done to death, so this particular food truck is not gonna wow anybody with their originality. but man their food is tasty! My bf and I were ice skating(terribly) at Pershing Square when we got a good whiff of the food that was being served from this food truck. It smelled sooo good that we decided to get food there after. Nice promoting ;) I ordered some tacos — spicy pork and bulgogi, the bf ordered the K-burger, and we also got an order of the dumplings. The total came to $ 25 including a coke… yah just because food comes out of a truck doesn’t mean it’s gonna be cheap. The tacos were tasty! I loved the kimchi/cabbage/slaw mixture thing they got goin on there. So flavorful and crunchy! Topped these tacos off with some of their spicy sauce and it was awesome. Only thing is I couldn’t tell the difference between the pork and the beef. it was dark outside lol and they didn’t seem to taste all that different lol. The burger! I got a couple of big delicious bites from my bf and I loved it. The patty, cheese, kimchi. very good combination. It made for one amazing burger. Not to mention that thing was huge. The dumplings were ok. They weren’t anything special but they were good. So I’m not sure if I’ll ever run into this food truck again, but if I ever do. I’m gettin that burger.

I’ve eaten here 3 times now and have to say its one of my favorite food trucks. I always hit them up when they are in Granada Hills. They have the perfect balance of korean and mexican food. Not to mention the people working here have always been very friendly and personable. With so many food trucks to choose from, this one definitely stands out. Vegetarian options are available. Try the vegetarian tacos. Very different and super flavorful.

This truck is almost too good to be true. After begin addicted to the burger for about a month, I finally branched out to try the grilled cheese. It was epic. The pork addition for $ 1 is essential and the Texas Toast that holds it together is so fresh and delicious. I added the dumplings as a side for $ 2 which came with a drink. The dumplings which are veggie are also amazing. This truck continues to blow my mind. But I’ll be stuck on the grilled cheese for some time now! Awesome service and you get $ 1 off for Unilocal check in.

Slanging Corea joins the gourmet Food Truck fray with their rendition of Korean fusion. In the event you haven’t already tried Dos Chino’s, Komodo, Calbi and of course the originator, Kogi, this concept of fusing Korean and Mexican will likely blow you away. To the rest of us, Slanging Corea is Kogi #8. What they lack in originality they make up for in Bravado as this truck has a street thug atheistic thanks the to hip hop superlatives found all over their truck wrap and even in their moniker itself. Being at the K Town Night Market at the Big A, I figured I would start my culinary adventure here. The menu is familiar if not redundant and includes all of the the Korean fusion cliches and in that spirit I decided to take the Pepsi challenge with their version of my favorite Kogi item: the Kimchi Quesadilla. Even with crazy lines, the truck seems to pump food out at breakneck speed and I received my order in about 5 minutes. Slanging Corea’s Kimchi Quesadilla is quite a bit different from Kogi’s. For one they add an option in protein(in my case a great marinaded Bulgogi). Another difference is the tortilla, Slanging Corea’s being limp and slightly greasy whereas Kogi’s is drier and has crispy bits. There is also no Salsa Roja gracing the top if this Quesadilla. But enough of direct comparisons to Kogi already. Slanging Corea makes some pretty righteous Bulgogi and their Kimchi is decidedly fresher than usual giving the Quesadilla a crunchy, spicy and savory zip along with a welcome mouth feel to the somewhat soggy exterior of the tortilla. Although it is not best in class, I found it perfectly capable and now I want to return for a shot at the Burger I spied on the menu. Slanging Corea be kind of bangin’.
