Watch them carefully and make sure they read you back your oder before you pay because when they mess up like they did with my dinner tonight they won’t put the over charged amount back on your card. Poor customer service, I had to show them on their credit card machine that they actually do have the ability to void or refund a translation after 3 people including 2 leads/managers told me it was impossible. Incompetence sums up this location tonight.

I have tried red beans and rice all over the world, and the best I have EVER had is at good old Popeye’s. I don’t know what they put in it, but I find nightlife craving that wonderful, smokey flavor. They’re fried chicken is pretty damn good too!

There’s no excuse for a fast food place to take 25 minutes to get out 5 chicken tenders and fries. Never again. Epic fail.

The quality is always good. There is always a wait cause they’re busy, but they work fast to get your order out quicker. The thing I don’t like is when you order mixed pieces they try to sub dark meat for white cause they always run out. One time they asked me if they could give me all legs and thighs when I paid for mixed . I asked if I get extra chicken or a cheaper price. Their response — «No.» Well then, «No, I’ll wait!»

Ever since they renovated this place, it is such an inviting location. It looks way better than the community around it. The food is delicious. Another great laundry mat pit stop. I like everything on their menu, the chicken, the tenders, the cajun fish, the butterfly shrimp, and especially their seasoned fries.

This Popeyes is terrible. I ordered before anyone and still haven’t gotten my order, to top it off the chick looked at me and asked me my number, aren’t you supposed to know what it is? The service is absolutely terrible all they did was gossip the whole time. Even if the food is the best I’ve ever had it couldn’t make up for this and would still be a 1 star

I called in an order for a fairly large order of chicken. Upon walking in, I noticed they were extremely busy. I told Jorge Islas that I had called in and placed an order. He brought me to the front of the line to pay for the order. I pulled out a $ 100 bill, the only form of payment I had(I rushed out of the house and left my wallet). Jorge tells me they just changed out the drawers, so they didn’t have change. He was nice enough to quickly run to the back and get change for me. If it wasn’t for his willingness to do so, I would have left without chicken and today would have been a sad day. Thank you Jorge Islas, shift manager, for your willingness to go above and beyond. Four stars due to the small size of the location.

Worse customer service, cashier was very slow and although we repeated our order to her she still got the wrong meal. Cashiers name Stephanie was horrible. And seemed like the manager didn’t give a brats ass what was going on. I wouldn’t even give this place a star.

My cashier was Brenda c. Yet my receipt says Maria, to meet that’s a serious issue. Secondly she was really sad and unhappy and when I gave her my smile tried to make polite conversation it didn’t even help, then I looked at the manager, her name was maria, she didn’t look happy either, some guy in a blue shirt in the back didn’t look happy either, the customers looked miserable. Just wow. I’m sicker than a dog and I’m all smiley and literally as I’m writing this I just got called into work on my day off, and I’m happy as can be, having crappy workers like that really saddens my heart on the inside, on this gloomy California day I believe it’s your absolute job as a worker in any kind of customer service position to make them feel happy and amazing, this place absolutely failed and this is my neighborhood, just ouch. Rock on to those who are with me living the dream of being alive :) it’s not gonna kill you to smile especially when your getting paid to do so.

On the corner, past Target. Very small lot with a few spaces, very hard to get in and out. The cashier remained her cools when the line was going out the door and people were complaining about non existent problems. The blackened chicken strips were moist and spicy, good. The biscuit was good, very buttery, only had one bite because I had already had way too many carbs. The green beans were okay, wish Popeye’s would change their recipe there. Kind of a rough clientele in a kind of rough area.

My girlfriend just ordered a chicken po’boy and we watched the following series of events. Kitchen worker puts on a pair of gloves. Cashier puts a $ 20 bill directly on serving counter and asks for change in 5’s. Kitchen worker with gloves on takes 20, goes to the back, brings change and then proceeds to make all the orders without changing gloves. A gross violation of food safety and when we complained it seemed no one wanted to make a scene so we just wanted to vent here. Still waiting on the sandwich but pretty sure she’s too grossed out to eat.

Ok well I haven’t eaten from here in over 5 years and well one of the pieces of chicken was a little pink inside and I still ate it thought no big deal! Next thing you know a few hours later i started getting sharp abdominal pains that lasted three out the night then next morning I felt horrible! I had all the symptoms of food poisoning! I felt so sick it was just horrible! I’m never eating from here again! Food filled with chemicals and other unhealthy junk!

I recently found out there was a popeyes really close to my job. From the outside i thought i was going to have a problem but as i walked in the facility it was so clean and the young woman with glasses who works registers around 2pm is so warm and friendly. The only thing that was disappointing was that they had butterfly shrimp advertising but when I asked about it they said it isnt on the menu until next month. K, lets try not to do that to people who are hungry. There’s never a long line when ive visited this location.

Obviously the people that work here are here to work, and aren’t paid enough to smile or acknowledge their customers more than they are needed. But coming in to pick up a small lunch at around noon it’s nice to know that they either change their oil often or I caught them at a good day. The batter on the chicken wasn’t super dark or tasted like it’s been used for days.

The service at this location has improved dramatically ! Apparently they’ve let go of the staff they used to have and got an all new crew! The joint is no longer packed to the brim with a line out the door. The food is always hot, juicy and well seasoned. If its Tuesday — I’m probably there. Don’t tell my trainer.

I like this Popeye than all others in the valley… let me tell you why. For starters, there are no warning signs all over the store. For example, if you visit the Popeye’s in Van Nuys, off of Sepulveda, there have a ton of signs with warnings to the customers, «Right to refuse service» «$ 0.75 charge for credit cards» «no water cups on Tuesday» etc. etc. etc. This Popeye’s has NO warning signs to customers. The service is great, the food is consistent(hot and fresh). Not a lot of seating though.

I was craving some Popeyes weirdly enough so I hopped along for a quick bite… got the shrimp po’boy…red beans and rice. and a 3 piece. Was it good… it was good enough for a fast food chicken chain… and it was fast so hey… guess it works.

Always a Movie! Popeyes chicken is really the $#!t! The chicken is fried so the chicken isn’t healthy! Although I love these chickens, I wouldn’t eat here more then twice a month. The BBQ sauce is possibly the sole reason why it taste so damn good. Don’t bother with the ranch & buffalo dipping sauces. Stick with the BBQ sauce and if that’s not enough flavor for you — I would suggest adding a little honey or Louisiana hot sauce to the BBQ sauce and you won’t be disappointed!!! CHOWDOWN!
