This place was really good! Very homey mom and pop type of place which I tend to love. Didn’t order that many dishes but the ones I ordered were deliciosa!!! Good portions, good prices, and nice service. Would be back again to try other dishes.

The empanadas are so tasty! The breading/dough is different from the usual Spanish or Cuban style. It is lighter and crunchier but soft. Perfect! The beef, spinach and chicken were all delish! I ordered the Bandeja Paisa for an entrée and it delivered all that it looks like! The salsa /aji sauce was perfect on everything. The service was great, the men that were there in the a.m. were very accommodating and The food arrived fast. I need to come back to try the weekly lunch specials at $ 8 !!

This is one of those hole in the wall Gems you are always looking for. Very authentic Colombian with a little Mexican. I have tried almost everything on the Menu and have never been disappointed. Great food, good service and prices and its always clean. Even their chips & salsa is great. I cant say enough good things about this place.

I ordered a few things here but what stuck out the most for me was the Sancocho Criollo soup. It’s made with delicious tender beef and green plantains and I loved it. I would highly recommend you order it. The whole place seemed cozy with Latin music playing and what looked like a father daughter setup(or wife not sure). The service was friendly and quick even though the place was busy. I’ll definitely be recommending it.

This place knocks my socks off every time I come. Today I had the cheese enchilada and a spinach empenada.(Note to self: next time order 2 or 3) so good. The food has got to be someone’s great grandmother’s recipe because it’s so good. Empenadas are easy to mess up, I can imagine. Thank you keep up the great food.

Columbia. YES! We started off good with a solid basket of tortilla chips and spicy salsa. We ordered some beef empanadas to start. They were spiced very well with an amazing dough engulfing the meat. Never have I gone wrong by ordering emanadas. Second, I ordered Pollo En Salsa Criolla and my fiancé ordered the Bandeja Paisa. Both were delicious items that I strongly recommend. Overall, good food, good people, and good experience.

Very nice cozy place. Excellent customer service. You can feel the warmth of the Colombian culture. They play latin music that makes you want to dance. Food and drinks was very good. Very good prices. The portions are sufficient to share. The names of the dishes were very difficult to remember.

Excellent customer service. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken on-time. We ordered so much food and, keep in mind, it’s Colombian food — carb-galore, so make sure to order just the right amount of food. The food is delicious. All Empanadas were delicious and the Picada was amazing(serves about 4 people a plate). You got to try the Colombiana, the typical soda pop from Colombia. Enjoy!

This place was awesome! My dad and I were a little afraid to try it because of some bad reviews, but I’m so pleased we did anyway(mostly because I wanted arepas de choclo, which they don’t have at La Fonda Antiqueña). First off, our food and drinks were delicious! We ordered jugo de guanábana, hot chocolate, arepas de choclo with quesito, lengua, and la bandeja paísa. Everything looked and tasted great. And it was at a reasonable price(considering one main dish is enough to feed at least two people). The service was excellent, too. I am surprised that some people had bad experiences with the waitresses because ours seated us right away, took our order promptly, gave us honest input, and checked on us a few times to make sure we were doing okay. The food came out quickly, and, like I mentioned, was very tasty. I’d come here again and bring more family and friends!

This. Is. It. You have to come here! Starters– the salsa is delicious and I can survive that alone. The specials are a deal so once you know your favorite dish(like me, Wednesday’s are my usual day) because the Arroz Con Pollo is bomb — and is served with Caldo(chicken soup) for around $ 8. The Summer Salad is also a go to item. It’s packed at lunch hour so go early or come after 1 to get a good table and cooler experience.

The food is not bad. I like their buñuelos, the beef empanadas are good, for some reason they sometimes leave potato skins on. It is hard to get all your ingredients down for some of these dishes, I know as I cook colombian cuisine very often. But I dont think this restaurant really captures how wonderful colombian food is, the dishes are uninspired. The service is mediocre to rude, I prefer to order as take out. I recently took a friend and the waitress got her order wrong, then made a snide comment about how little she ate. I was embarrassed! It is a shame too, considering how close it is to my house.

If you are craving an amazing, delicious, perfect, full of flavor salad… you MUST try the Ensalada de Campo. It is their grilled veggie salad. You can get it with chicken or shrimp. Both are REALLY good. The shrimp are super seasonie and the chicken is cut in thin strips, so you don’t have to mess around with it too much. it usually has: Carrots Brocooli String Beans Bell Peppers Avocado on a bed of romaine and mixed greens. With a creamy balsamic dressing. It’s so good… The salsa and chips in the beginning are super tasty too. I like that the salsa is kind of a blended one. The fried plantains are really yummy too. and HANDSDOWN the best empanadas ever. Spinach and Cheese, ground chicken, and beef. All are really good. The chicken is my fave though. Has an extra kick of flavor. They are almost like frito texture on the outside. They have apple soda too. Its ridiculous. La Maria never lets me down. It should be a must try if you are around Burbank/Noho.

I write this as a Colombian national who loves to try new spots in so cal. My score today is not based on the food(which was ok though what they call chicharron is funny) but rather it is on service: I went with my dad during the week and I suggested we drop in this place. The minute we came in we weren’t greeted and sat ourselves down. The service was at best almost a chore. The waitresses were completely arrogant and never smiled. When we tried to make small talk one of the the waitress was annoyed and kept making faces like she had something better to do. We definitely felt like if we were at a low end dingy bikini bar. Even more interesting is that the waitress who was serving us takes her lunch among customers which wasn’t a problem until customers start asking her for service… aka lack of professional behavior. All in all to me the kings of Colombian food is still La Fonda Antioqueña off Melrose. To me

La Maria!!! You came into my life and filled the void that has been inside of me ever since Café Columbia closed. Yesterday, I met a Columbian woman named Maria(fittingly) and while I was crying to her that there was no place to get my Sancocho fix since CC closed, she told me she had heard of a place close by. Say what!!! I convinced my husband that we needed to go have dinner there and a couple hours later we were sitting down perusing the menu. At first, I wasn’t sure. The menu is a little diverse, not just Columbian. It’s a mashup of other Latin cuisines, and even has the cheeseburger, all-American section. We stuck to Columbian and despite my reservations, it was delicious!!! I had the Sancocho Criollo(of course!) For anyone who’s yet to try this dish, it’s like the Columbian version of Beef Stew. It came served with rice, salad, and avocado. I ordered the large and it was PLENTY. I took half home and had another whole Meal. My husband ordered the Sobrebarriga(Marinated beef brisket in criolla sauce.) It comes served with rice, yuca, and plantains.) I had a bit of the beef and the plantains. It was great. Very tender meat, and the sauce is to die for! We also split two empanadas(one beef, one spinach), and one pan de bono(cheese bread) which all came served with a big bowl of Aji. The Aji is amazing! I need to go back ASAP to try the Ajiaco(chicken veggie soup.) Also after reading through some more reviews it looks like I need to try the guacamole, and have breakfast here, also I think I need to give the tamales a taste too. I’ll be back within the week… Possibly twice.

First time eating Columbian food at an authentic Columbian restaurant and I was very pleased with the results. I’m still thinking about the ceviche because it was so fresh and tasty! The lengua(something something) plate was one of my favorites too. Also, don’t forget the guac! Definitely will be returning here. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Street parking.

Not a lot of Columbian food around, so we were excited to try this place out. The chips and salsa were really good, and the lemonade was awesome — complete with shaved ice! We ordered a few empanadas, and we all agreed that the chicken was better than the beef. Got the bandeja plate for my meal — it was okay, but everything was a little dry and lacked flavor. There was a lot on the menu that I’d be interested to try, and I’ll probably come back again, but I was hoping for a better first experience.
