I’ve been coming here for about two years because my boyfriend introduced me to this place. Last time I came here I was six or seven months pregnant. Don’t get me wrong I always loved their food. Perhaps out of the entire time I purchased food; I only had one bad experience. The fried rice had no flavor, absolutely none. But I always came coming back. So today we decided Chinese food. So we walk over to the dollar tree store for something to drink and then proceeded to get chinese food. It was exactly 11:45am, and it was closed. I was completely shocked because they open at 11. And then I read the sign that was posted. It was closed by the health department because of vermin infestation. This totally ruins everything. I loved coming here, because the food was excellent and cheap. Needless to say I won’t be coming back, if they’re open, because another person that was outside said there was someone in there and said«they’re getting the food ready»

I was just searching restaurants and reading reviews, and saw this random restaurant. As another fast food restaurant’s waitress, I’ll have to say, all the reviewers who rated less than 2 stars because of their«bad/non fresh food» must had gone there at a wrong timing! If you really don’t like the flavors or choices, I have nothing to say since everybody’s different. A restaurant is always providing fresh food during day and lunch time, but if you go there when they are closing very soon(this one, at 9pm) and no more fresh things will be made, you should order something else, maybe the ones that they have to cook in the back(Trust me, this is a really nice suggestion for people who are hungry and don’t want bad food, probably a bit higher price). There’s no restaurant that can satisfy everyone’s taste, some people like sweet, some people like less sweet; some people like chewy, some people like it soft. I don’t like comparing one another since every restaurant must have their unique way to cook and serve, but I really care that when customers blame on one restaurant just because the food is not as good as they expected. PS: If that’s your first time visit or order, you always have the right to ask details like the food portions, the sauces and even the ingredients. 2ndPS: I believe every or most fast food restaurants allow customers to have samples on most of the food! You don’t like it, you don’t buy it. It’s always your decision. 3rdPS(??): Ya, trying to be a little nice here :) I will NEVER say a restaurant’s food is bad or disgusting or something like that, I only describe it. Like… it’s too salty it’s too oily, or it’s so little portion of the food in the combo. Like it or not depends on you. You better go there once and come back here to see if you agree those 5 stars/1 star reviews. Finally, yes I admit, this restaurant deserves a 3.5 — 4 star(I’ve been there). You get what you pay. Don’t expect a 5-star meal and service when you’re only willing to pay for a 3-star’s price. They would have raised the price if the food were really worth that much. **All my own opinion, give 4 star because I don’t want to pull down its average rate and there’s no 3.5 star I can choose!!**

I got a 2 item, half and half with orange chicken & teriyaki chicken(I think, there was no teriyaki sauce). The prices tell the story. It’s very affordable and the quality is ok. I liked the orange chicken. The teriyaki chicken was bland and there were too many fatty pieces. The fact that they don’t have teriyaki sauce at all was disappointing. The rice was alright but noodles were subpar. Portion size was great, but the quality wasn’t, so I didn’t even eat half. Usually when it’s really good, you might take a break to finish or save for later. I did neither.

We like this place because it’s cheap, the food is actually quite decent(especially for the price!), and the portions are ridiculously humongous!

I love this food, it all depends on what time you go. A majority of the time I go in around 3−5pm. The food tastes like your regular Chinese food, Americanized. Avoid coming later before closing, any Chinese food joint gives you whatever is leftover and for obvious reasons they won’t have much left. My experienced has always been good. With the only exception with one time, the fried rice had no flavor. But that wasn’t enough for me to not go back.

DON’T EATHERE! My roommate and I made the mistake of ordering food here. The food is garbage LITERALLY! I got the egg flour soup and lo mein with short ribs. My friend she ordered fried rice and some type of sweet chicken. We got home and it was unedible a taste spoiled. I didn’t know about this place we just wanted to get something to eat. If I’ve known better I would of check the reviews. How is egg flower soup supposed to be red? People who decide to go here should see how unsanitary this restaurant is. We passed back and noticed that the grade was B. I highly suggest you guys should look up a background check and reports on this place for sanitation purposes.

As a fan of cheap, to go Chinese food, I can’t really go wrong with a $ 6, 2 order meal. The seasoning could have been a bit better, but I wasn’t overburdened with breading or sauce, so I’m quite content. A decent assortment of vegetables in the rice and noodles, though the noodles were a bit dry, I’m guessing from sitting over the course of the morning, since I went around noon. I’ll go back, sure. Not terribly often, but when I want to go on a nice quick walk or bike ride to get my lunch and am having a craving while strapped for cash.

J&J is the secretive«Shitty Chinese Place» called by my friends. We all love to get a fast cheap delicious Chinese food here, shitty, tiny but comfy. The staffs are unreasonably generous about giving you as much food as they can squeeze in the box. They have a variety of food choices and they change their menu constantly with mix of beef, pork, chicken wings, fish, shrimp and veggies. Most importantly it’s super CHEAP! And I always like to buy a fortune cookie before I leave, just to check out my luck and make some stupid prediction about my life: p

You get what you pay for. Lower quality food and taste for a cheap price. Orange flavored Chicken-Chicken was dry and overcooked. The breading seemed to have an excessive taste of flour. The orange sauce was semi-sweet with a hint of orange flavor. Chow Mein Noodles-Ok Service-Fine Parking-Located in a shopping center. Adequate.

It’s random but good. Employees seem nice enough and I’d rather eat this than panda any day.

We ordered a party tray full of their Spicy Jalapeño Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings and they were so yummy! The price is really reasonable, service is great, and parking sucks. Give them a try!

A few days ago I found myself heading over to NoHo, so I decided to look for a spot where I could get the best bang for my buck. After taking the time to read up on what fellow Unilocalers were saying, my search led me to J & J Wok. Fellow Unilocalers, you were not kidding about the portions, they’re ENORMOUS! I have a big appetite, so I went for the combo B(rice, chow-mein + 3 entrees) with orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, and shrimp chop suey. I was lost for words at just how much food this woman was able to pile onto that poor styrofoam container. It was bursting at the seems, holding itself together for dear life. My eyes were way bigger than my stomach — as usual — so my greedy ass must have gotten an order of egg rolls too. Smh. Taste-wise, they were pretty good. I enjoyed all of my entrees. You have to keep in mind that they’re just another run-of-the-mill neighborhood Chinese spot, so don’t go in expecting P.F. Chang’s. As far as cost-effectiveness goes, you can’t beat it. This 3 entrée plate with an order of egg rolls(2) all ran me under $ 8. You will have leftovers for days– literally. I went Friday, and plan to turn my leftovers into stir-fry for dinner tonight. So if you like Chinese fast food joints, and want the best bang for your buck, look no further than J&J Wok. They hook it up FAAAT. And yes, I will be back.

Came here once, will not come here again. Very greasy chinese food. Low quality, but it’s probably getting lots of stars because they throw a TON of food in a box! You get what you pay for, forreal here!
