I’m in the area needed just a regular mani and whoever the lady was did a horrible job. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not a regular but when I called her out on it she knew she wasn’t getting a tip so asked me to pay and as she’s painting my nails said I can go if I’m not driving. I left out of that dirty place with the quickness! She did not know how to do a proper manicure and the health bored needs to investigate! I will be getting a good mani somewhere else tomorrow because she messed up bad! will never be back!

I hate writing horrible reviews but I really need to warn anyone wanting to get acrylic here. DON’T! Maybe their other services are better but it absolutely ruined my night. Looking for a place to get a fill and relax after work. I stopped in here… if you have an hour and a half to give for a fill… go for it! Way too long for my nails and horribly done, I might be a little more forgiving if they looked amazing. But the fact that I already repainted them because bare nail was showing on the sides, two nails are lifting and one has chipped. The nail polish was thick and sticky I left before she put the clear coat on bc I knew no matter what they weren’t going to dry properly and look clumpy. Not to mention me not once but twice having to tell her please even these nails out. Not a little difference like a huge I could tell my hands didn’t match. I’m so upset and bummed knowing that instead of my two weeks usual for a fill I’m going to be back in a different nail salon in 5 days and spent 30 mins myself repainting them. I’m so very sorry I hate being rude or even mean but I think this should be fixed. Yes their prices are cheaper then other salons but you get what you pay for and I ended up paying for a fill, a new nail polish at cvs, a fill in probably a less then a week, and my time.

Peter, as usual hooked up my last hair style. Fashion Nails and Hair Design not only does nails, but they take care of you as a customer and they make you feel special. I am happy that I can walk in say hi to the owner by her name, TINA, and I can also walk in and get my hair cut without waiting for a long period. Thank you Tina for the special gift a weeks ago and I just want to shout OUT a local business like yours to let people know you and your staff take an interest in your customers beyond hair and nails. I went here to get a pedicure only. It was on my way and I was in a hurry, thought it will be quick since it was pedicure only. They only had 3 spots for pedicure. I had to wait even with an appointment and when the lady started working on my nails she took way too long and she did a horrible job. I had to repaint my nails after I left. It was my first time here and I will not go to this place again. I did not like this salon at all.

I like this place because it’s cheap cheap cheap and affordable for whatever it is you need. I really like the massage chairs they are the best ones I’ve sat in! Some things I don’t like are the lack of nails polish colors and brand choices. I also get my brows waxed and Tina does a great job! They definitely get the job done and I keep coming back.

I’m not writing about the nail services. I haven’t tried them yet. I just want to place a review on Unilocal for the hair stylist that I had. Michael saw me at the recommendation of a friend… she has known him for several years and her hair always looks awesome. I needed a new salon and was able to get in with Michael. He and his wife Tina are the owners, I believe. Very nice — very friendly and MOSTIMPORTANTLY — he listened to everything that I said!!! That never happens anymore. The result was exactly what I asked for and then some. The price was more than fair. He is really an artist. His technique was impressive. My hair looks, feels, smells great and above all — the COLOR is PERFECT. He did a cut and blonde highlights. He matched my grown out blonde highlights so that it looks completely natural and not at all like a NEWDO or color. Super important to me that I don’t look like I just had a color and cut. I would have paid TRIPLE for this type of work in a major salon, with not nearly the satisfaction. Thank you, Michael. You have a new loyal client. I left smiling!!!

It really saddens me to give a bad review to a business but I feel it’s Unilocal’s purpose. As much as I’ve gotten aaawwweeesssooome reviews I just really feel like I wouldnt be fair unless I warn you about this place,’ I had a pedi and im telling you it was PAINFUL(an adjective that should not be associated to a pedi). The girl was pretty rough with my feet and I told her it hurt, and she kept on cutting and I think she went way too deep on my cuticles, It HURTS, I kept telling her and well i dont think she understood. This poor filipina girl was sitting next to me and she kept telling her girl you are cutting me and it hurts and no no no. and you know what, I just don’t recommend this place, As cheesey as it is, I dont want any of you to go through what I went through i dunnow maybe I had a bad girl, im just sayin.

I opted to go here after my sister(Lei B.) had been going for years. I didn’t find out until last week that she hadn’t been in a long time. to get a mani/pedi that is. First, Jenny no longer works there. Second, Linda is a pretty popular lady so be sure to make an appointment ahead of time. Third, mani/pedi on the massage chair is now $ 24. So since I needed to get my nails done for a trip I got whoever was available. I didn’t even get her name but it was the WORST experience ever. Description: lady with reddish brown hair just above her shoulders. She took her time and when she was taking off my old nail polish she dropped the cotton ball on her lap and kind of stained her pants. She took awhile to clean it off and after that it went downhill… She filed my toes über weird… the shape looked like the top half of a hexagon and the nail polish… oh man. The first and second coats were okay but noticing how a few toes had thicker coats she applied a third… the third coat was just a blob in the middle and you could totally tell the sides were lighter. Now my fingers… after I told her I had another appointment in 20mins she decided to use the tool that is normally only used to prep when getting acrylics. I didn’t think it was much so I didn’t say anything but the worst part was when she filed my nails and instead of going side to side she when forward and backward… ok that ish HURTS. especially after it’s been soaking! Maybe she was out to get me because of the stain on her pants??? I brought my own polish for French tip but when I saw she was using Orly I thought it was okay… and everything was until she used the top coat… someone must have dipped that brush in the white bottle for a quick second because as she brushed the clear on there were white streaks on my nails! And I wasn’t the smear from the tip. Anyhow, she did not even stop until I pointed it out to her! She ended up only fixing one nail out of three and didn’t bother the change the brush. She tried to wipe it off and it was a little better but not totally fixed. Luckily I was going to put on some decoration after. Anyhow, I left wanting totally angry since the service isn’t what I had thought and the price wasn’t cheaper than a salon I could’ve gone to in Woodland Hills. If I could give 0 stars and review only I totally would…

The place is clean, friendly, and professional. I’ve been going there for the last year and I’ve been pleased by their work every single time, I was impressed by how much they care about the service they’re providing-they do a great job! I recommend either Jenny or Linda for pedicures and acrylics. The only downside of this place is the limited nail polish selection, but you can always bring your own polish, as I’ve done. This place is one of the best places in the valley!

About three years ago my mom told me about this place. For $ 15 you can get a mani/pedi while seated in one of those massage chairs. One day Jenny was giving me a manicure and asked if I wanted my eyebrows waxed. I hesitated at first because I’ve had plenty of bad experiences and finally just took matters into my own hands. With a bit of convincing I agreed, but only after she understood my requests. After a fairly quick but a slightly painful session I was pleased with the result. I’ve been going to see Jenny for years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. This is a pretty small place and they do take appointments but sometimes walk-ins screw everything up. Linda is also great with manicures and pedicures, she’s very friendly and cracks me up. They don’t have a lot of selection on nail polish colors so bring your own, I usually get French tip which is $ 3 – 5 extra.
