This is my new favorite peruvian place in the valley. Came here for lunch once and was hooked. Ordered their pollo saltado and it was very appetizing! Will definitely be going back and would recommend others to try it out.

Although it was a packed house when I arrived we got a table right away. The service was fast and friendly. The food was great! Definitely coming back for the Lomo Saltado

Best Peruvian place in the Valley. Their ceviche mixto is so damn tasty and I love the chorros :) It has become our«go-to-place» for Peruvian food :) Everyone there is also so pleasant to be around :) Thank you for your great food and great hospitality :)

This is my go to Peruvian Restaurant. Very delicious meals. I’ve yet to be disappointed by El Hatuchay and I’ve been eating here for over 10 years! I always leave with a full and happy belly. I’d recommend: Ceviche Arroz con pollo(my fav) Lomo saltado Papa huancaina Pan con pollo Seco Cau Cau(if you’re adventurous) Drinks: Inca kola Chicha morada(my fav)

Last minute stop at 8:30 on a weeknight. My boyfriend and I shared a plate of Arroz con Mariscos. The plate was not as saucy as I have had before but it was really good! Service(attentiveness only, food was quick) was a little slow and that’s why I gave it 4 not 5 stars. Would go back for sure.

Gave them 3 stars not for there food but for there customer service. Food is great and there service is terrible. It’s a give or take if you live nearby and don’t want to drive too far for peruvian food.

My Girlfriend and I come here all the time! Such great food and generous portions. The reason why I don’t give them five stars is because of the poor service. After the food is out they wont come over to ask you if you need anything else and they don’t come over to refill you drinks. The food does take a while to come out but its worth the wait. Things to try: –Papa a la huancaina –Lomo Saltado –The green noodles with the steak on top –ceviche — The green sauce that comes on every table(I just want to take it home!)

Not the most consistent customer service, or lowest prices, but the food is just amazing. I have visited many times; some days I have been greeted/served promptly and nicely, yet other days, the ladies and owner seem annoyed/stressed.

I can’t believe some of less than good reviews for this place. The lady here was so welcoming and friendly, she helped me pick out what is good or popular on the menu, and when I told her that I wanted to try something, she was nice enough to give me a sample of it in my togo bag without my knowledge! Aside from the service I just received, the Lomo Saltado is on point! Delicious and simple the way it should be– authentic. ALWAYS ask for the green hot sauce if you are new to peruvian food. The sample I received is the potato and cheese dish. I don’t know what it’s called, but it’s served cold– and for most Americans that will be a shock to tongue– then, it becomes quite pleasing. Very delicious Peruvian cheese sauce. Definitely coming back! Keep up the good service and keep those delicious dishes coming out!!!

Wow! This place amazed me! It was referred to me by one of my friends. I am really glad I found this place. A little hidden gem! Service was great! They are very friendly here. Food was even better! I did not have one problem here. Will be coming back for sure! Very cute hole in the wall. Again, I have nothing but good things to say about this place!

OMG. The food here is amazing!!! I can literally say I go here every 2 weeks, I feel so at home when I come here and it always fills me up and my craving is gone LOL! The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because sometimes when I come They’ll give me more food and other times they give me smaller portions and i feel like im not getting enough for what I pay for. Also the waitress is kind of rude. she an older woman with black hair and she always has a stank face and takes forever to come over to our table and re-fill our water or do little things I ask for. I basically just come for the food which is AMAZING.

Simply put my favorite Peruvian restaurant in the valley. Tallarines verdes, seco de res and estofado de pollo. You really can’t go wrong with any of their food. The under nine dollar menue that includes an appetizer has very good options. I always have a chicha morada to drink. Come and enjoy.

In town visiting from Texas and I really wanted Peruvian food. A friend recommended this place and I couldn’t be any happier. The food is not only amazing and reasonably priced, the service was excellent. What a friendly place. The waiter has a great sense of humor and the owner was so friendly and kind. He sat down with us and chatted us for a while. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in SoCal!

As a Peruvian, I’ve been looking for a good restaurant to eat and this one was not it. The papa a la huancaina did NOT taste like should’ve, it tasted like mayo with cheese or something nasty like that. I couldn’t eat it. I’m giving 3 stars only because the seco felt homemade and wasn’t expensive. They did use the wrong beans but I guess I can live with that. Overall, it was good. Service wasn’t great, wasn’t bad either. There was really not much interaction. Waiter took my order, brought my food and then the check. Didn’t ask how I was doing or how the food was… Again. I can live with that too, not a big deal. I might give it another try one of these days, hopefully it will surprise me.

This place is completely underated for where it is. After a year and some change of the same foods, finally tried this place and regret not stopping here sooner. Lomo soltado is on point so is what we at work have dubbed their«crack sauwwce», which is the green sauce that comes with every plate. Portions can feed 2 no problem.

I been coming to this place for a while I love Peruvian food… I have to say there food is really tasty. But there prices are getting high. *the chicken beast and salad with rice* use to be $ 9.95 Now is $ 14 The service get worst and worst this time I stop by there was an older lady taking order and serving. I think she was in a bad mood, she was like mad. She took my order … Got me a bread and water, then she bought my food, after that never did she ones came to ask if I was ok or if need more water or anything. After more people came in she forgot I was even there!!! They obviously need more help to make sure there costumes are treated right and are happy so they can come back!!! 3 stars for the food only!

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. I like the fact that they have an all day special with an entrée and appetizer for a decent price. The beef used for lomo saltado could be a little better, the reason for the 4stars, but I guess then again the price wouldn’t be so decent. The papa la huacaina dressing is the best here. I’ve been to other Peruvian restaurants and it didn’t match this place. The aji sauce is the perfect taste.

Been here only twice. The first time, a young lady behind the counter assisted me with a to-go order of aguadito de pollo. She was friendly, and I got my order quickly. I think she may have been part of the owner’s family. The soup was delicious, according to my wife, whom I had purchased it for. So, we went back a second time. This time, we were assisted by a no-personality, lackluster server, who when asked in Spanish, some questions about the food and the to go orders, gave confusing answers, and just was not a helpful person. We waited almost a half hour, for one order of soup. She basically ruined the experience, and we won’t be going back.

I adore this place! What an unexpected, adorable little escape it is! When you walk in you immediately forget you are in the far back corner of a huge asphalt strip mall. The murals, artwork, trinkets & music all set the mood for real Peruvian treat. It’s quite casual, at times in lieu of music, Spanish television may be on with one or two workers gathered ’round. But, worry not, the food is quite delicious and the service is pleasant and friendly. If you’re unsure of what to get, they are more than happy to point you in the right direction. I found it helpful to see some photos of the dishes on the menu. Peruvian dishes in general are not spicy. But, as soon as you are seated, dinner rolls and a squeeze bottle full of the most delicious spicy green sauce I have ever tasted are served. I’m a little embarrassed to say, I have nearly finished an entire bottle in one sitting. More spicy green sauce, please! I don’t know what it is called. I’ve been told on numerous occasions but I can never remember. I don’t care; I just need it in my mouth! * Okay, I have go to items here. I rarely venture beyond them. 1. Chicken Lomo Saltado. This is strips of chicken sautéed with onions, potatoes(fries) and tomatoes and served with rice. There is a lot of nice flavorful sauce that soaks upward into the pretty scoop of rice alongside. It is also served with a few chunks of yuca root.(If a potato and a radish had a baby, that would be yuca.) 2. Camarones Saltado. Same as above but with shrimp. this is tasty but there is far less protein in this one. After eating a few shrimp, I found myself looking down at a plate of onions and tomatoes. 2. Mojarra Mixta. Wow this is really good. It is an entire fried fish with paper thin shredded red onion salad with lime juice. Somehow, the onions are sweet and don’t have that strong oniony bite. * entire bottles may be purchased to go for $ 7
