For the last several months I have been getting my haircare and extension installations by Expert Stylist Tiffany. Her mantra is: No Style is too Tough for her. It’s the truth. I had challenges with the growth of my natural hair within 3 months my hair grew at least 4−6inches longer. Tiffany cares about the health of your natural hair, even if you have extensions or braids. Her extension installation techniques are perfect for a person with an active and fashionable lifestyle. She also did a phenomenal two step process ombré in my hair. I get tons of compliments on the installation and color. Get in her chair if you are serious about your hair.

By the way, no, it was not Brazil who did my cornrows but it’s unfortunate that Brazil doesn’t work here anymore since it seems she has some good reviews on here. Also, this is precisely the reason I did not name any names in my review. My aim is not to get anyone fired, just to inform people.

My mom and I made an appointment last minute today and Brazil managed to get us in after she finished up with her current client. She was personable, professional, warm, considerate and did an outstanding job on my trim and my mom was ecstatic with her new hair color. Brazils wonderful personality is really the icing on the cake as far as this shop goes. If you are going to get your hair done ask for Brazil and you won’t be sorry!

BE PREPARED TO BE BLOWN AWAY BY THE QUALITY OF THIS HAIR!!! I have worn extensions on and off through the years; particularly as I transitioned from relaxed to natural hair. I have never been happier to share my «extension secret» with people. This hair was a perfect match with my hair. It washed well, didn’t shed, and never got the waxy look that hair sometimes gets that has been processed too much. The customer service was incredible and I would highly recommend Black Velvet Hair.

Brazil is the greatest hair extension stylist. She was fast with no bumps and made my hair look so natural. Her cornrows were tight and she blended my hairline so well with no tracks showing. She’s also a very sweet lady. I will be going every two months moving forward to get my weave redone. Next time I will buy hair as well. This time I used hair that i previously purchased. Will update you on the actual hair when I buy next time.

If you need a hairstylist in Cali I advise you to go to BVH Glam studios!!! I was looking all around LA county to find someone with enough background and skills to do my extensions. I read a review on Unilocal and thought yes this is definitely the spot for me. I scheduled an appt and they were able to squeeze me in the next day.
Brazil is the stylist they had do my extensions, and she was perfect! She’s sweet, great conversation and very skilled. She didn’t take all day doing my extensions and made sure that when I walked out everything was to my likings.
Although I had 24″ extensions people were still asking me tips on how to make there hair longer, as if it was my real hair. The hair literally looked like it was coming out of my scalp, no lumps, it looked so natural, the hair that was left out blended perfectly, you couldn’t see where my hair ended and my extensions started!
I said all this to say that Brazil did a fantastic job on my hair, this is my second time getting my extensions done by her and I also got a perm in between and it was probably one of the best perms I ever gotten.

This salon is amazing! I just moved here about a month ago and was in need of a hair stylist. I am thankful that I found Brazil! She is a great hair stylist! Such a great experience. Just moved to LA 3 months ago and was so nervous about finding a new hair stylist. This shop and the stylists Brazil came to me as a referral, I was not disappointed!
Being new to the city, I underestimated the traffic and was over an hour late for my appointment she and and her assistant Sharon waited for me patiently and kept the salon open for me!
Sharon effortlessly took down my sew in washed it conditioned and rebraided it all in under 45 mins!
Brazil was such a perfectionist with my sew in and she is also so focused on hair health which is so rare to find in hair stylists these days.
Another perk, the salon has amazing Indian hair that you can purchase by the ounce and they even offer bundle prices to lower your sew in price.
This place was such a great find and Sharon and Brazil are gems! Thanks ladies!

This place is by far THE BEST hair salon in Los Angeles! Nisa ROCKED my extensions and made me look and feel like a celebrity!!! I felt like I was at a 5 star spa!!!
