I had a really good time at this restaurant food was delicious and prices were reasonable. It was a good experience overall I will go back again.

The coolest bar in the area, hands down. Hipster dive, but none of the pretension. Just great drinks(beer, wine, sake sangria) great people, karaōke, burlesque, free pizza before 9, arthouse films, and good vibes. Gr8 stuff.

It’s a really small place. I can see it getting swamped pretty fast. They have happy hour with free pizza on weekdays. We parked on the street.

I personally enjoyed this place just cause sometimes u want to have a good glass of wine and maybe a cold beer. Lots of parking available either in the front or the back area of this place. How ever the actual bar is super small and if it gets packed impossible to get to the bathroom cause it’s so narrow. Service was great she allowed me to try the wine that I was satisfied w which not many bars do. They also do karaōke Tuesday’s I believe not that I care.

The best little bar in the world! I’ve been coming to Bar One for a couple of years now and its just hat bar were you walk in and you walk out making new friends. The environment of this bar is awesome! Arlene and Sean couldn’t have thought of a better bar than this one, I applaud you. The quality of the beer is great but what I really go for is the Super Sangria, its a must try I promise you wont regret it. Karaōke, Loteria night, burlesque, live Dj, good times at Bar One. Its a MUSTTRY for a good time bar. Do it… I dare you!

Great beer selection and nice«old school» atmosphere. If it was closer to down town I think the line would be out the door. Happy hour covers all drinks and last for several hours. This place is a must if you are in the area.

Love this joint. I come here for Thursday night shenanigans usually. It is a snug venue but has a large homey vibe. I knock it a star for the slight beer variety.

This place is a magic unicorn of the valley. Rare and regular beers on tap. Shit I ain’t even imagined. Best sangria. Karaōke, Burlesque, Live &DJ sets, y Lotería. Brilliant, friendly, beautiful staff. Arlene and Sean are my heroes. No matter where I am, I’d always rather be at Bar One.

i’ve driven past this place a million times but never bothered to stop in until yesterday. i was looking for a good happy hour spot in or around my neighborhood and this one popped up. my friend and i arrived around 6:30 to a nearly empty bar. the bartender introduced himself, let us know happy hour was dollar off everything, and that there was free pizza. apparently they have free pizza every night monday-friday from open until it runs out(usually by 8 i was told). the prices are reasonable, so happy hour makes it even better.(i’m not sure how late happy hour goes, but i don’t think we left until ten and all of our drinks were discounted) they have events every night — karaōke, burlesque, trivia, all kinds of things. the bar is tiny so i imagine it gets packed for some of these things, but i also imagine it would be a ball! before we left, the second shift bartender came in, introduced herself too, and chatted us up. the dj came in around that time and also introduced himself(it seems like the kind of place where everybody knows everybody, which i love) and bought us shots. we picked a movie out of their dvd collection to put on the tv and had ourselves a good time! will be back, 100%.

Why don’t you come into my Parlour, said the spider to the fly! I’ve come to bar one over the years, mainly because their beer list is always strong and they make an excellent and cheap house sangria. But they also do a couple cool nights for music a month with my boy Roger Rivas of Aggrolite fame hosting THINK!: A Reggae Soul Funk musical get down in collaboration with a few other choice dj’s and let me tell you, their collections run DEEP! This place is small, it’s really just a long bar counter and a long bench seat along the wall, but I’ve not had difficulty hanging out with friends here and to me, not having tables is really not that big of a deal since i like to stand when i drink anyways. Also, their staff is friendly enough, one female bartender entertained my fairly buzzed friend with his dumb questions and one-liners, and even when he spilled his drink all over the counter, they filled his beer halfway to compensate! And their small beer list is actually very well-curated too, they have something for everyone except nothing for those filthy macro-drinkers suckin down coors lites(this is your warning, no shit beer resides in this establishment), but various beers from belgians to stouts and ipas and wits were all available. Anyhow this is a great lil neighborhood hangout spot in the valley, one of the few worth the time if you’re in the area, it’s a good meet up point with your deeper valley friends for you dtla and hollywood moscovites who think it’s a chore to drive into the valley, since it’s close to 101⁄170 split in noho so you dont have to trek too far into the suburban jungle. Tell them Duggan sent you!(actually don’t, but check in on Unilocal for 2 dollars off your first drink!)

Inattentive bartender, he did not call last call and not once since he served us our first beer and we never saw him again. Then he immediately locked us out when I went outside for a min with customers still in the bar. I am a bar manager and I would never let my employees do that ever. He had no, reason to be rude as we did tip generously.

This place is so chill. I really loved the vibe in there and their bartender was such a good guy. Extremely helpful and hospitable. Their pumpkin beer and Belgium blonde were both delicious and I def suggest this place to everyone who loves craft beer! Can’t wait to go back !

Nope. Not at all as advertised. Maybe this is me being a bar snob, or maybe I feel a little claustrophobic in this hallways-sized bar. Who knows?! When I walk into a place that has microbrews/craft beer on tap and I ask the bartender for a recommendation, I shouldn’t get handed a beer that tastes like the metal shavings of the bottom of the keg. And it wasn’t just me. One of the women in my party got the same thing, and didn’t even finish it. Me being the ex-fraternity man, however, didn’t stand for such alcohol abuse and finished it; much to my regret later on in the evening. Weird vibe from a small dive bar that makes you feel like a sardine in a can. It was awkward to interact with the members of my group, due to the layout, and I couldn’t really speak to half of them. Perhaps this place is chill on the weekdays when seated at the bar, and may merit a return then, but definitely not a spot for me on the weekends.

Specialty sangria + craft brews + better than bottom shelf wine + happy hour + appetizers + game and theme nights = … this place is always winning with it’s rockabilly meets modern day vintage feel. #LOTERIA Street Parking only… that’s the only bad thing, aside from limited seating here. So if you wear boots made for walking, make sure they’re actually made for that… it’s not just an expression.

This place is super cool! It isn’t that big, but it’s in the heart of NoHo. They have trivia on Sundays. great selection of beers on tap and wines(wine is my fav of course). They do have a food menu… FRIES!!! The staff is friendly and they know their drinks… Sean is great!

Best beer/wine bar this side of town. Honestly I don’t want to write this review because I don’t want the place to get packed with douchebags. The food on the menu from SteamPunk is legit. Best fries this side of town. Bartenders are knowledgable and friendly. If you don’t love this place, you don’t understand beer or wine. Period. Go to Big Wangs with the rest of the animals.

Went here for a much needed ladies night and it happened to be Ladies Night! We got all sorts of free gag gifts and the bar tenders were super sweet and friendly. We are valley girls, not tourists, and finding a classy dive was awesome. We definitely plan to attend another ladies night here. I have a friend who never drinks wine but tried their sangria and fell in love. They really know how to make a sangria that seduces any drinker. Super amazing. Love the dive bar bar and quietness of its location but you can tell the place gets pumping when the sexy burlesque girls start working their magic. Classy yet divy. New yet vintage. Great for the valley classy hispsters.

This place is awesome, local, and comfortable. A little bit too small to truly enjoy the live shows, but I LOVE the vinyl player. Wednesday nights bring your own records and they’ll spin ‘em! Had a great macademia nut porter on tap last night, as well as a chocolate raspberry stout. Taps rotate, but there’s always some good stuff, and knowable barkeeps to keep you up to bar. Prices are super fair – great value for Los Angeles area craft drafts – that macadamia nut porter pint was $ 8 and the stout was $ 6. Staff is friendly, ambiance is low-lit but nicer than a hole. I’d say a classic dive, one that definitely makes the trek to the valley worth it. Also, it’s one of the few spots to host trivia on Sunday nights!

This place is small but packed with a lot of punch. I’ve been here a few times and I thought I should start using Unilocal. It’s only a beer and wine bar. The house wine is my favorite, it’s really good. The sangria is also amazing. The have great imported beer lots of dark ones. On Tuesday they play loteria which you win prizes like drinks or food. I think on wed they have vinyl night, really good old school hip hop. The crowd ranges from late 20’s to late 30’s. Bartenders are pretty cool and quick to answer any questions as long as it’s not busy.

Had a great time at Bar ONE with a good buddy last night. The place is small, narrow, dark but colorfully lit. There was a tiny space up front for live music and we saw 4 pretty damn decent acts in a few hours. The biggest band was 3 people, don’t think you could fit anybody else and definitely not anywhere close to a full drum set. Solo acts style. It looked like it was going to take awhile to get a drink because at the time there was only one bartender for maybe 15 – 20 customers. Our patience paid off and a couple seats at the bar, near th band opened up. They have about 10 – 12 beers on tap divided into two lists: regular glass $ 6 or goblet $ 8 for stronger beers. The selection was somewhat pedestrian versus hard core craft, but there was enough variety and quality to make it through a few ++. The clientele except for us was hardcore musical; tattoos and piercings and dark makeup. Friendly enough. Another bartender showed up and took good care of us including several samples before we committed. Excellent beer bar service. There were some local artist posters around that also added to the pleasing aesthetic. Looks like they have a few fun themed evenings like quiz night(Thurs?) and Burlesque night(2nd Friday).

I’m rating it 2 stars only because I’m just not that into it. The service was good, the bartender was friendly. Love the Unilocal check in offer for $ 2 off your first drink. They only serve beer and wine and there is a $ 10 min for credit cards. The place is small and it was exceedingly warm the night we went. The décor is very Lady of the Night. There’s red velvet damask wallcovering and all red lights. Sconces with fringe and their version of a Tin ceiling– tin beer signs lol. There’s a tiny stage in front so I’d assume they have some sort of performances on certain nights. Glad I stopped by and gave them a chance but I don’t foresee myself returning.
