El Pollo Loco

Not sure what’s going on with the food restaurant around our area it’s like getting left overs.

Katherin was awesome! I had 4 coupons and she was quite helpful. The manager was nice to help me carry my food to the table.

I used to like this place. Today i bought 3 tacos al carbon and they were awful the tortillas were breaking in pieces, the chicken was cold, the onions were stinky, the chips were stale, and the soda was almost all ice. Never coming back to this disgusting place.

We eat at El Pollo Loco every time we’re in the LA area or in Central California and this location didn’t meet our expectations. The problem may be related to the cooks’ techniques: skin on the grilled chicken was too dry, shrimps in the fish taco overcooked and the steamed broccoli smelled old. Fresh salsa was OK. The whole place could use a good cleaning too.

I wish I could give it a BIG FAT ZERO!!! The salsa bar is disgustingly messy and dirty. Each and every table had trash on it. And they got our order wrong. I would rather go hungry than eat here again.

The menu here is very confusing to read. Everything is in small font and squished together and no pictures. Pictures actually helps customers pinpoint what thing they ordered before or want to order.
We also ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad. We got this dinky bowl with salad and at the bottom, there was rice. We specifically ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad in hopes of getting the Creamy Cilantro dressing. Instead, we got a Chicken Bowl that just happened to have lettuce.
This location also seems dirty. There were kids literally standing on the tables. A customer behind me told them, «People eat on that. Don’t put your feet on the table.» But the kids and even the parents just went ahead with their business. Those same kids then ran around the place and were literally scooping salsa out of one container at the salsa bar and pouring it in another. WHAT THE HELL?! Dude. This isn’t an El Pollo Loco problem, but one can attribute that to them. There’s a bunch of workers in the back doing nothing. One of them could maybe tidy up and maybe ask these rowdy elementary school kids to stop messing around or something.
So next time you come here, your salsas might be all mixed together.

The food at this location is ON POINT! Props to the chefs here. The location itself is kinda dirty and the employee at the register seemed stoned and could barely understand him. I asked what the price was for the 3 piece combo was without a drink and he just didn’t answer and just assumed i didnt want a drink.

Nice layout… friendly employees. Food is the same as all El Pollo Locos.

The cashiers were half awake and the only hard working but there was Jesus (wearing a red shirt so I assume he was the manager). He was all over the place but everyone else was working like they didn’t want to be there. Food is always good, but I want to give that guy a shout because he was definitely a hard worker.

Super close to me, very friendly employees. The food is amazing!!! I always get the Leg Lovers meal and the chicken is to die for!!! They are always helpful and never rush you out of there when its close to quitting time!!! Oh tonight had them charge my card and paid some in cash and they did it with no hesitation! ! Awesomeness! !!!

Three stars because the service could be better today. The lady at the cash register was really rude, however the girl giving out the food was very nice. I asked her about a sign I saw up about tacos and was it on the menu and she said I don’t know. Then she laid back against the wall seeming annoyed. Lol I was having a hard time seeing the menu but she didn’t offer to maybe hand me there take out menu… now that I think about it. Seems like she didn’t like her job much. However the other workers were hard at work.
Also the food here is pretty good for the price. They have a new chicken enchiladas dish that is under 500 calories. I like that they have a lot of variety. I know this is really not authentic Mexican food but it’s good for fast food. I consider El Pollo Loco fast food, semi healthy (some of the dishes) and easy when I need something fast.

not much else on the new Chicken and Avocado Torta… I don’t know what else I expected from Pollo Loco, maybe a piece of chicken breast? Overall, not great dining.
My advise would be to go to the local Mexican dive to get your Tirta groove on… much better, and prob cheaper too.

Service is sloooooow! As I’m writing this I’m waiting in line in for 15 minutes to buy a stupid taco. Jackie working the register seems like she’s never used a register before and Jesus her supposed supervisor also has big problems handling orders. Jackie keeps asking Jesus what to type into the register for every new order. Wow, I thought this kind of food is called fast food. If you want to experience slow food come here.
Just got home and opened the bag… the order is wrong. I requested non onions and cilantro but it’s in there. As a conclusion… very very bad experience.

I understand this is fast food but when you are looking for cheap eats, Pollo Loco does not disappoint.
Everything on there menu is pretty good. Ask for their cilantro sauce. It is really good.
I particularly like this location since it is clean and not too busy so eating in is not too hectic.

I’m not even going to complain about the 2 homeless dudes sitting outside, Hey, It’s North Hills and on Sepulveda Blvd.
Stopped in to get my boys some dessert nachos due to seeing them on TV. Nice chocolate tortilla chips with chocolate and marsh mellow drizzled on top.
What I got was some cold, stale chips with maybe a ½ tsp on drizzle on the first 3 top chips and nothing underneath. Nasty and just simply disappointing, these kids will eat anything but they ended up throwing away all but 2 chips. I went back out and got them ice cream from McDonald’s. What a waste of $ 4.00.
But, hey my BRC burrito for $ 1.59 was good.
I don’t go here often and now I’m sure we won’t return.

Staff is really upbeat and friendly. Other El Pollos can learn from this store about customer service.

been to this el pollo loco several times. good chicken. good customer service. it’s ok for take out food. the last time we went there though, it was kinda salty. dont know if it was a weird batch or just havnt eaten it in a while & its always been salty like that.
