Went to get ice skates sharpened here. It was done in 20 minutes for only five dollars. Everyone in the store was very helpful and friendly! I will be back here again soon.

This place has always been a corporate monster. This facility is the exact polar opposite of mom and pops store. The employees are NOT happy IMHO. There is no human emotion in the isles or departments. It honestly feels like the Matrix and Mark McGuire had butt sex and this store was its baby. The only time I feel human in this store is when I am near the baby shoes. Listen I haven’t been there in awhile so it could’ve changed. I’m just basing this off of 1995 – 2012.

S. A has always been a vendor of low quality equipment. I don’t overuse my exercise equipment, but the treadmills I got from SA lasted only a year before major problems arose(no bang for your buck). No wonder employees are extra pushy when it comes to selling those service contracts. Speaking of those contracts, the sales staff does a poor job of explaining what is covered and what’s not(they don’t even provide written guidelines). Eventually your machine will break in 12 to 18 months, you’ll call the manufacturer, and they’ll tell you the bill will be $ 300 because the sales kid at S. A thought he was selling you a service contract when he actually sold you a maintenance contract. To top it all off, the last thing I bought here that required delivery came 2 months late. From now on I’ll stay in shape the old fashion way… by walking and jogging outdoors.

Overall all a decent store, though its location in North Haven seems somewhat remote. We’ve shopped here since the store opened(though not on a routine basis) and have generally been happy with the selection and service.
