Take out on busy Saturday night was ready in 10 – 15 minutes. Wife loves the queso dip, and I agree that it’s pretty good. My carne asada was a simple, very good steak. Little to no seasoning, not spicy. I have high standards for steaks, but this was quite tasty. My wife got the steak fajita chimichanga. It was really delicious. She couldn’t finish it, so I destroyed the last third of it. It’s rare that her food is good enough that I want finish it after I eat my own. Each meal comes with lots of rice and refried beans for sides. It’s plain but not bad. This review is really 5 stars for this one visit, but I don’t believe in giving 5 stars until after multiple visits.

My friend dragged me out to this place in which he frequents once a week! After my first experience here I can see why he is a patron. Outside it doesn’t look much. Inside its a cozy and colorful Mexican theme. The staff is very friending and accommodating. Love all the Mexican drafts on taps. The food here is great: classics done right, large portions, and good flavor/tender meats! Overall fab place for non pretentious Mexican food!

Terrible service. Our waiter ignored me even though I asked him politely 3 times for a glass of water. He brought me the wrong food and tried to argue that I ordered it when I asked for something different and even pointed to it on the menu as I was ordering. My husband and I live up the street, we’ll never go back. The food is ok, nothing to write home to Mom about. Sadly it’s one of only a couple of sit down restaurants in town. We drive to RT9 to avoid this place.

My husband and I love this restaurant. The prices are very affordable, and the service is always excellent. We usually order the same meals, so I can’t speak to the entire menu. Their fajita nachos, fajitas and chimichanga’s are excellent. We love their margaritas as well.

Terrible food and terrible service. I emailed them with my complaint in August(2 and a half months ago) and did not even receive an acknowledgment/response.

Exceptional service is the norm here. The friendly wait staff seems to just appear when anything is needed. The food quality is solid and the drinks are good. The fish tacos are light and tasty, the mole is legit and be sure to ask for the salsa verde if you like infernal heat. I love this place!

I know the foodie police probably hate this place, but I don’t. It’s not authentic, but sometimes all I want is a goofy margarita and comically large portions of Tex-Mex food served to me on a table covered in toucans. Cancun’s delivers all that, with fast service and lowish prices, despite the fact that they are one of 4 sit down restaurants in Grafton and could probably get away with less effort. I like this place, and since its down the street from my house, I’ll probably be back.

Great food and margaritas. The food and atmosphere remind me of the south Texas restaraunts I grew up on. My wife had the fish tacos, my kids had the chicken tenders and I had the steak tacos al pastor and we all left happy.

This place is by far one of the best mexican resturaunts I have gone too. I went there with my family and got a asada burrito that had grilled steak, it was amazing. There food you can tell is seasoned extremely well. Doesn’t take long for thr food to cone out at all. The waiters/waitresses where very nice and very attentive. I will definitely be going back and I recommend this place to anyone who loves mexican food or wishes to try it! For dessert, had the fried ice cream, delicious! The enchiladas are insaine, and the margaritas are perfect. Not too strong, not too week! Love this place:)

First off… I don’t eat beans and rice and their fries were better than most any restaurants… the experience was definately mexican. Although sketchy looking on the outside, the inside is fun. The chips and salsa were definately house-made and the chicken chimichanga I ordered was great. My fiancé ordered the chicken burrito and loved it. We definately plan on going back soon!

Traveling to Boston detoured off the route for dinner. my family of four, two adults two kids, we’re all pleased. My daughter raved about the chicken for the fajitas. My chicken enchiladas were great. The table salsa was a great spicy treat. We’d go back if we were in the area again. Our server was also very attentive. Thanks Cancun Family Restaurant for a great meal, especially since there wasn’t full by in from everyone in the family to go there but everyone left happy!!!

Cancun’s is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I do live in Worcester, which is filled with all kinds of fantastic restaurants, but I live on a tight budget, and sometimes just want a really laid back atmosphere with big portions and fast service. The chips aren’t oily like in some places I’ve been to, but hot and fresh with a watery, yet also chunky salsa that has a nice kick to it. Not too spicy, but just enough to get your tastebuds going. Cancun’s has a large menu as well as large portions of hot, fresh food. Every time I stop in, I have to get the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. It always comes loaded with cheese, onions, peppers and chicken, with a fresh, crisp pile of lettuce and tomato in the center topped with sour cream and fresh guacamole. It really hits the spot every time– such great flavors! My best friend always gets the Asado Burrito, which he consistently raves about. The burrito is massive, completely with heaping helpings of rice and beans. My fiancé really dislikes Mexican food, but interestingly enough, they have a burger and fries on the menu and he thinks it’s delicious! The servers are always incredibly friendly, attentive, and more than happy to accommodate you. Are the plates all mis-matched? Yes. Is the décor a little bit on the tacky side? Of course. But it kind of adds to the charm. Grab yourself one of their delicious margaritas, order a huge burrito and relax. You’ll definitely be back if you don’t expect something super fancy or 100% authentic, but just want some casual, fresh Tex-Mex eatin!

Steak fajitas were awesome. Rice and beans were over cooked but the steak… yum. Service was a little too fast but we were in and out in 30 min

I tried to propose to my girlfriend here using a rolled up piece of chicken from my quesadilla. She did not care for that… But the rest was excellent! Wonderful ambiance, and particularly fast service. We were seated instantly, our waiter George(whowas very friendly) was on the scene in moments. Our food came out in ~10 mins from ordering and was hot and delicious. Great portion sizes. Would come again, recommend for anyone. Saw a party of 8 get the same speedy service as us.

I used to live in N. Grafton and visited here often. But whenever I get a chance to be in the area again, I’d always come here for lunch. Their food has always been consistently good. I love snacking on warm chips with salsa while waiting for my meal. The hot sauce we usually ask for is dynamite! I’ve never been disappointed with their friendly service or any dishes that I ordered here. Latest visit, we had one of their seafood specialty and steak burrito. Both were so delicious especially the burrito. Skirt steak was juicy and very flavorful. Portion was very generous for the price too. When you first walked inside, it might feel a bit gloomy and dark, but the room opens up to a nice view of the lake. Get a booth by the window on a sunny day and you won’t be disappointed. The only thing I wish is for it to be closer to where I live now!

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover with this place. I had driven past Cancun’s numerous times before finally stopping in. The food is great and the portions are huge. The staff is also extremely friendly and accommodating. The fish tacos aren’t fried which I personally prefer and most places don’t prepare them this way. Also if you like spicy, ask for the hot green salsa with the complimentary chips or to put on any of your food. Also check out the over 15 kinds of amazing margaritas they have. You won’t be disappointed!

Very similar to Mexicali in Holden if anyone’s been. Here’s how it matches up if you’re looking for Mex: If you want: good tortillas and freshest salsa: Mexicali in Holden If you want great proportions and great price: Cancuns If you want enchiladas: Mexicali If you want chimichangas: Cancuns I asked for a substitute and they wouldn’t do it, which disappointed me even after I offered to pay more, which is why they lost a star. Bilingual staff, very pleasant! Will be back

I had dinner at with my husband and several friends several weeks ago. Cancun is one of their favorite local restaurants in an area that lacks any real international flavor in terms of both food and atmosphere. Pros — *The food was reasonably priced and the portions were very satisfying *Pretty extensive drink and tequila menu *STRONG* Margarita’s. Two El Presidente’s and you might be saying One, Two, Three Floor :) *The menu contained your standard Mexican fare(tacos, burritos, enchilaldas) but I was surprised to find interesting chicken and pork options as well *Attentive server who answered all our questions and made some very good recommendations to us *Husband got the fajita combo(chicken and steak) and loved the option of corn tortilla in place of your standard corn. Meats were also well seasoned and flavorful *I ordered a Seafood Combination(whose name escapes me) that was not on the regular menu. The dish contained a generous portion calamari, scallops, tilapia and octopus as well as Mexican rice and re-fried beans. Although the octopus was a bit overcooked, all had a great flavor and were also served with corn tortillas. Are not really my favorite — so I can’t speak to how it tasted. Cons — *Does not take reservations — even for large parties of 6 or more *Complimentary chips and salsa were devoured by our table BUT the salsa was watery & flavorless *They bill themselves as a family restaurant so make sure you leave your rowdy mariachi band attitude at home *There was a singer that was going around to all the tables and«serenading» them which was awkward when 1) there were 6 of us at the table &2) she keep repeating the chorus. We felt«forced» to sing along when we just wanted to enjoy our Margarita’s and not be part of an impromptu sing along *I agree with Lila S. — the Quesadilla that was part of the Fiesta Platter contained melted cheese but the tortilla was cold — it looked like the kitchen did not even make an attempt to heat or toast it. Definitely makes me think that not all the items are«freshly made» and that«Mike»(or the microwave) is a fixture in the kitchen. *Guacamole lacked flavor and needed a lot of TLC in the way of lime juice, cumin, red onion, and cilantro. I felt I paid for a very expensive avocado All in all Cancun is a standard, bottomless chips and salsa Mexican Restaurant with strong drinks and some good dishes — just make sure BYOG — bring your own guacamole!
