Square Eddy Expeditions

Everything you’ve read is true. If you don’t believe me also look at their TripAdvisor reviews. If you’re considering going rafting in the Adirondacks, you don’t need to look/​go anywhere else. Here’s why:
1) Smaller boats = more personal experience, and more fun on the rapids. Other raft companies fill up bigger boats with as many people as they can fit, and it’s not as fun.
2) Ownership — this company is run by local people who love what they do. You will feel this dynamic at every stage of your experience with them. Linc and Lori P. are great people who will make you feel welcomed and comfortable at every moment. With other raft companies you likely won’t ever see/​hear from the owner, or get this level of service.
3) Support — they feed you very well, are extremely knowledgeable about the river and it’s history (I felt like I was getting a history lesson), and give you all the equipment you need to stay comfortable and have a great time.
My fiancée booked this trip for us as a surprise, and it turned out to be the highlight of our whole weekend in the Adirondacks. If you’re considering doing something like this, then look no further than Square Eddy. You’ll be very happy you chose them.

Awesome! My family and I just spent a great day with Link and his crew. Their North Creek office is cute, clean, and efficiently operated. Lori runs the office well and provides guests with fresh delicious food during and after the trip.
We hiked in to OK Slip Falls and then rafted out on the Hudson. Along the way we took a short spur off the trail to visit an abandoned cave and gorge that was formed years ago by garnet miners. Link was a wealth of information regarding the mining just as he was throughout the day on the history & ecology of the area and the river.
The rafting equipment was waiting for us at our lunch spot along the Hudson The equipment was in good shape. The guides made sure we were safe on the trail and on the water. My youngest child is ten and he had a great time too.
We previously rafted the Hudson with another local outfit but my family and I would absolutely select Square Eddy next time we raft. I recommend Square Eddy to my friends who want to raft the Hudson while visiting the Adirondack Park.

This is the Best rafting company, PERIOD. Linc and his gang love what they do and the experience they created made that obvious. I can’t say enough great things about Square Eddy. He is one of the few guys doing exactly what he loves in exactly the place he wants to do it. Great ride, great lunch, great entertainment, and some new friends.
Linc has simply taken a service offered by many and made it better.

I’m a little bit torn, because when I find such a wonderful «secret», I get nervous sharing it with the rest of the world for fear that they will become so popular that I will not be able to access them again! Right off the bat, when we called to make our reservation they were extremely helpful and told us which ride would be best for myself and my two boys. As beginners we were a bit nervous, and wanted to make sure we booked an appropriate ride, with a knowledgable and skilled leader. Well we got both in our guide Linc! He was awesome! Given his extraordinary relationship with ALL the guides we saw on the river today, Linc is the «real deal»! He was friendly, outgoing and engaged both my boys for the entire day. He also made us an «incredible» lunch (that review courtesy of one of my sons!), and had snacks aplenty! We had a great day on the Hudson River– thank you Square Eddy!
