Elvio’s Pizzeria

This review has been months in the making. I’m unsure if it’s because I have been trying to figure out how to word how bad the pizza I had was in a gentle way, or if I was too busy complaining about the pizza with my relatives, since they (unfortunately) shared it with me.
We had ordered a mushroom pizza, and what we got was more like flour flavored cardboard and mushroom bits (equivalent to bacon bits). We also had it delivered which was a complete mistake — it took well over an hour to arrive, despite the fact we were literally five minutes away.
Next time we decide to visit North Conway, we certainly won’t be ordering from here again.

this really is the best pizza north of the bronx!!! $ 3 cheesy garlic bread is amazing, so are the dishes from the grill. great food, friendly service, couldn’t ask for more!

Best pizza I have ever had in my life. Pizza is big and great prices. Also, there is a little Italian like market inside. Waiters and waitresses are super friendly. I definitely recommend going here!

Pizza is great! Oh yeah and so are the breadsticks! The service is great too, definitely a family run business, which is what made the place so welcoming for my family. Two things: my husband has come to this place since he was in middle school and went skiing with his family, now that we have kids, we are keeping the tradition and going to NH every year and Elvios. The comments regarding the delivery woman are very mean and I all I can say is she walked right by me, literally inches away and she did not smell bad, at all. How I know it was the delivery woman was that she took delivery from the back and went on her way

I think the pizza here has slipped over the past year. When we stop in, it’s not as good as we remember. The crust is a little thicker and the sauce isn’t as tangy. We’ve eaten slices in and have gotten takeout.
The staff can be a bit rude at times as well.
A few years ago this would have been «great». Now it’s just an «OK».

Seems like a good place for takeout– maybe not delivery or dine in. When it’s busy you hear it and feel it. The staff just yell at each other and guests are crammed at seats. We had to clean our own table since it was so busy. I ordered the Italian veggie sub and my husband ordered the chicken parm. Both were decent but nothing special– no seasonings and not a lot of red gravy on the pasta. When other places were 1.5 hour wait this place is A-​OK.

Ordered pizza here while in town on vacation with my family. I was standing outside when the driver pulled up, more than an hour later. She smelled so horrible. I could smell her a mile away. I peeked in the vehicle and it looked disgusting on the inside with all kinds of garbage in the seat next to the driver. After she left I went up and my husband agreed that the smell was pretty bad. We decided to throw out the pizza and go next door to McDonald’s instead,

Excellent Pizza, a bit on the pricey side though. A large cheese and a large pepperoni cost us $ 31 and change.

I’ll start this off by saying I don’t like to write reviews of any kind unless I have an extremely good experience or extremely bad experience, service, or products. This has gotten me so upset that days later I am still upset enough to write a review!
My wife and I had brought my son to our annual Story Land trip and decided to order delivery on recommendation from the hotel since it was getting late and didn’t want to go to a restaurant with an over tired toddler.
We called up and put in an order for a large cheese, chicken fingers and fries, nothing crazy. We were told 1 hour for delivery, which was fine for my wife and I but because it was getting late and wanted our son to eat sooner than later we decided to go to the hotel restaurant and get out son a kid’s meal. That was the best decision we had made that night because after and hour and a half no delivery so I call back the restaurant and was told they are sorry they are really busy but the driver should be there any min. After I got off the phone with Elvio’s I decided to wait in the lobby for them, and wait for them…
Finally, one hour and fifty-​seven (1hr 57mins) after I called in for a delivery we received our food. I take the food up to our room, and take it out and what do we get, cold soggy pizza, cold soggy french fries and cold dried chicken fingers.
Are you serious, after waiting that long I get cold crappy food, and never once did I get a sorry were really behind phone call… what horrible customer service…
If I knew the wait was going to be that long and my food was going to be cold, I would have saved my self the $ 30 and just went to the hotel restaurant like I should of in the first place.

Great pizza, salad, calzones& stromboli. Sauce is homemade& tasty. Everything we had was cooked perfectly.

got a take out two pizzas one vegie and one cheese both were great. I got a steak and cheese sub also very good. the price was ok to

If I could I would give this place NO stars!!! They are TERRIBLE!!! They quoted us that they’d deliver our pizza in 55 minutes and after an hour and 18 minutes waiting with 2 pregnant people I called and the manager said in the background that he’d spit on our pizza and then he was mad we were upset about the wait and said that we couldn’t have our pizza and if we called back he’d call the Police on us!!! Visiting people… don’t use this place! They are rude and spit on food and yell and threaten customers!

Worst service ever, we made a delivery order for 11 people, about $ 150. They told us an hour and fifteen minutes took over 2 hours for a delivery, and they forgot 2 of our sub which we are currently still waiting for 2 and ½ hours now still not here. We were not offered anything as far as a discount or a coupon for next time for our inconvenience. Their excuse was they take out 6 deliveries at a time. The food is barely o.k. the vegetables on the pizzas look like they were cut by a small child with a butter knife. I will never order from here again.

I didnt really expect best Pizza north of the Bronx. Any self respect pizza guy knows RI has some fantastic pizza and NY is way overrated.
But…but…wow. Just… I really dont know what to say. It was NOT good. I ordered extra cheese and when you pick up the slice EVERY single topping slid off… fine. Ok. But does it taste good. NO. It. Does. Not. Taste. Good. The cheese was NOT cooked all the way through! Gross, man. Plus, the dough was just soggy. Not a good look, Elvio. Not at all. I dont give many 1 star reviews but you deserved it. Especially by claiming you are the «Best Pizza North of the Bronx».

I am going to give it a two star, because if I do not I will feel like a big NY bully…
OK people… I am not sure who coined the ‘best north of the Bronx’ thing… but… no… no no no no no… no… no. My inner New Yorker comes out swinging when I hear that. So when I saw that sign my boyfriend and I pulled over and had to try it.
What can I say? It just not ‘the best north of the Bronx’. No details needed. Kudos for that business for being very busy though, good for them.

Awful service, awful food, disrespectful staff, overpriced. Asked for plates and the things they didn’t give us that we payed for and she told me «you’re going to have to wait, it’s busy.»

absolutely horrible service. They treat you like a piece of garbage. They’re angry to get your business and everything takes 1 hour and a half when you ask. Completely rude and never going again. I’ve never been treated like such garbage in my life at a pizza place. When they tell you 30 to 45 minutes add 30 to 45 minutes are on top of that do not bring children because they would go insane.

The pizza south of the Bronx must be very disappointing.
Delivery was late. The two pizzas were soggy and mostly inedible. The flacid crust that was had no flavor despite a coating of tomato and cheese.
The side salad listed at $ 3.75 was a handful of mixed greens from the bag. Worst value of the night.
Not again.

We left snowboarding late in Bridgton Maine and came here at 10:30 PM. They were open! Lively friendly girls behind the counter, an amazing menu featuring tasty bites and great food all around. Thanks for staying open. Not much else is at this hour in North Conway.

By far the BEST PiZZA I’ve ever had in my life!!! I wish I could give it 10 stars. Every time I’m in Nh I need to get it because no other pizza compares to this. I have had pizza in alot of states and Elvio’s blows anywhere else away. The toppings are so good, fresh and flavorful & they definitely hook it up which is niiice. The calzones are amazing too because they use ricotta cheese and fresh spinach and you can tell the quality is top notch unlike some of these joints that use all frozen junk. I want to punch anyone that says anything less then this because I have eaten here 8+ times and the quality and service has never been short of outstanding. To anyone going to get pizza in North Conway — Don’t waste time and money anywhere else on pizza… go to Elvios!!!
