MUSC Childrens Hospital

Not excited to have had to have my kid here, but the staff is knowledgable, staff is incredible and the hospital is impeccable. It’s a teaching hospital to there are tons of folks around in their residency and they are very thorough!

It sucks when your child does not feel well. It sucks to wait a long time with other sick kids around your child, wondering if you child’s immune system is going to pick up every other germ at the doctor’s office.
Most of the walk in places don’t have pediatric doctors on call. This one only has pediatricians.
After registering, we waited maybe 2 minutes for a nurse to take us back, assess the problem, and take us to an exam room. The doctor came in maybe 3 – 5 minutes later. Lucky for us, it was not busy, there was only one child ahead of mine, and one after.
The whole place was clean, bright, and the people friendly, welcoming and helpful.
I was thoroughly impressed with our experience tonight. Another plus was that I didn’t even have to take a day off work. I have never left a doctor’s office and said aloud, «wow, that was actually enjoyable,» before tonight. The only minus I can foresee is that the same doctor is not always on call so you do not build a rapport with one doctor.
