March 23, 2016, 10am: Charleston Camping World repaired the bathroom wall in our 2016 Winnebago. Linda was the service advisor. James did the repair. The bathroom wall between the shower and the mirror had come loose. The loose wall panel was at the corner to the left of the bathroom mirror. The glue apparently failed. James repaired it by using several small nails and running a bead of clear silicone at the corner. All covered by warranty. Outstanding service and an outstanding repair.

Went to Camping World in Charleston today. It was kind of a let down. I did have a negative impression of them in the first place. I called them 3 times the day after I got here to get tires and they never returned calls as they said they would. I found a much better tire shop to spend that $ 3,500. I guess they did not want our business.

Our first and current dealing with the service center. The have had my brand new camper for one week and the camper is still sitting there, untouched. No tail lights is the issue. I called yesterday, no return call, called back this morning and no return call so I finally called back again and was told it hasn’t been looked at yet but will call me right back. We will see. I miss my camper… it’s brand new. Geez.

The things that people are abe to buy for their RV is astounding, HOWEVER, the service dept here… blows. Several of the women I(and a friend) spoke with are horribly rude, talking to you as if you are a complete doltz. My friend had troubles with her brand new RV and when she went to them to get service on it, they said, «we will be out there on Tuesday.» Tuesday came and went… they never came and never gave a call. She called… they said they’d be there on Thursday, before noon. She cancelled our plans… they never came until 5:30…when she had left to pick her husband up from work. She called again to try to get them out, as her issue was a serious one. As far as I know, it was not fixed before her and her husband moved. I DO know that the Camping World sold her an incorrect hitch for her 5th wheel trailer and when she called them about it, they tried to give her YETANOTHER run-around. Once her husband got on the phone, they straightened up and replaced the part… left it outside for her to pick up. Seems they were tired of dealing with her. If they had stayed true to their commitments or possibly improved their communication, this wouldn’t happen. They believed we had a propane leak in our RV and got someone out here(he was on time to me, as I was squeezed in). He spent a couple of hours here, examining the issue. When he left, he hadn’t figured out what it was, but said Camping World would contact me about it… that was almost a week ago… no call. I’ve called to see what’s the status and they never return the call. I believe this place is so overwhelmed, as they seem to be the only Camping World around, but they really need to wake up and smell the campfire… they CANNOT continue to run their business this way. Long story short… overall store…4/5 stars(reasonably priced, but lacking in some items) Service dept…0/5 stars… I have yet to see a problem fixed by them Average…2.5/5 stars

Was so disappointed in the level of service at this place. Good selection of camping/RV supplies. Customer service is atrocious! Because they have some things I buy regularly is why I could manage two stars.
