I picked this place because I did not want to drive a few extra minutes to my usual deli. The person preparing my sandwich forgot to put lettuce and tomatoes — the ONLY toppings on my sandwich. After paying (which was pricy for the size of the sandwich) I had to come back in because the chips were expired! The lady tells me to pick other chips but the entire row was expired! So she tells me to pick from the bottom. Should’ve driven a few minutes more to get what I wanted minus expired chips.

Zero stars isn’t an option which upsets me because I’m now lying by giving 1 star… place is awesome if you have 43 minutes to spare to get a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel SPK (mind you they forgot the SPK)…if you are retired and have nothing else to do with your time it’s a great place to go.

I have had several poor experiences with this business. The prices are inaccurate, and when you question what you are paying the staff repeats the total and asks you to pay. Staff also speak little to no English, which is problematic when you have a question about the food or about the price and they are unable to understand and/​or respond to your inquiry. Most recently, I went in for an everything bagel and to my surprise they were completely out! In fact, they had little to no bagel options available. The staff had offered speciality bagels as an option; however, I was not willing to spend extra on a bagel I did not want to begin with. The only options for «typical» bagel flavors were plain, poppy, and sesame (maybe 4 – 5 of each left), everything else was sundried tomato, blueberry, french toast, etc.; nothing similar to an everything. When asking how long for an everything bagel the women replied «no.» Another customer had asked and she told them 45 minutes. 45 minutes for an everything bagel (which I like to believe is a common bagel option) at 10am on a Tuesday!!! This has been my last and final experience with this business. They never even provide an apology or explanation for their inconsistencies or lack of options. Good bye bagel bazaar.

I used to like this place but since they changed ownership, the people that work here are not as nice. The food and prices are alright but nothing special.

Can I give zero stars? Worst place. Worst service. Worst employees. Worst food. Expect to wait for your breakfast at least 45 minutes. And it will probably be wrong. No gloves used. I’m not sure why people even go there outside of the convenient location. Gross.

Place is horrible. Staff takes forever to take your order and even longer to cook it. Staff should know English. Then they get mad when you correct them on your order.

Breakfast sandwiches are solid, but nothing to write home about. Service is slow and the layout of the store is inefficient.

They make really consistent breakfast sandwiches. The staff is super friendly, and even when they are packed they are very efficient and get orders made.

This place SUCKS now!!! The cook doesn’t use gloves and coughs and picks his nose while cooking your food! He didn’t know i was watching him… he turned around and his face was BRIGHT red!!! I left

Solid local bagel shop. Prices are fair and the workers are always polite. $ 9 for a dozen bagels and they have a large selection. I get bagels for work every Friday and the staff is always pleased. Try the super cinnamon or strawberry. They also offer mini bagels and bagel holes.

Tried Bagel Bazaar today for the first time. Had cheese steak and fries! It was delicious and had a lot of meat! This is my new fav place!

I’ve been going to this place maybe once or twice a month since high school, and I never got around to writing a review because I don’t feel like this place is worth the time a review would take to write. There is a slight language barrier and if you, the customer, do not meticulously enunciate your order, there is a chance that it will get messed up. The credit card minimum is another issue with this place, and the only reason I keep going back is because it is conveniently located in accordance with my house. The women are nice, but it would be helpful if they had more employees to take orders more efficiently. Lastly, the restaurant is very cramped near the ordering and paying areas – if you go when it’s crowded, good luck getting out in a timely manner.

I am an avid bagel lover and bagel blogger — I am searching to find the best bagel in Central New Jersey.
I have been to over a dozen bagel establishments in the area, and Bagel Bazaar rates pretty low out of all of them. My onion bagel had nearly no toppings. The bagels tasted a little stale and were definitely too dry. I ordered plain cream cheese and I am pretty sure they just used Philadelphia spread. I will not be returning.

This has been my neighborhood bagel shop & deli for the better part of 2 decades. It’s solid with good food, decent bagels, and decent staff. That said, it’s best to avoid this place on Sundays between 9am and noon; it gets absolutely swamped! The really great part is that they’re open 365 days a year — so Christmas, Thanksgiving and 4^th of July mornings when everything else is closed, you can get your bagel fix! (Though I secretly feel really awful for the people who have to work Christmas morning)
They’ve changed ownership at least 4 times in the years since we moved to the area, but the original owner, who is now an attorney, is in the shop quite frequently. He’s a gregarious guy and is happy to talk to anyone, it seems. Two of the ladies who work there have been there through the entire time, except for a brief period during one owner’s tenure when he fired all the old-​time staff. Once the previous owners came back, the old-​time staff was hired back. There was also a period in the early 2000s when they were closed for several weeks after a fire.
Anyway, the food, and by extension, the counter staff. Generally, solid breakfast sandwiches and decent bagels. A good variety of toppings, and BOY are they generous with cream cheese. Oftentimes I get way too much schmear on my bagel, really. That said, even if you ask for extra ketchup on a hot sandwich, you’ll still need a ketchup packet or two if you really like your sandwiches wet with the tasty red stuff. I think they make the 2^nd best Belly Buster in the area (which is pork roll, sausage, bacon, egg and cheese on one sandwich). They also have a lox and cream cheese sandwich that my wife loves.
Now the down side — some of the staff struggles with English, so sometimes I feel uncertain whether or not they’ve understood my order and requests. The old-​time staff gets it right and will remember your order if you go there enough. The newer folks just don’t seem to get it sometimes. I think they’re getting better, but there was a time when I didn’t go in for quite a while because things were just wrong with my orders when I got home (I always get my orders to go). Orders tend to get messed up more when they’re really busy (see the aforementioned suggestion to avoid Sunday mornings after church gets out).
The speed at which you receive your order will vary greatly depending on how busy they are. Sometimes it seems like there are WAY too many cooks in the kitchen to make it run efficiently. Other times the orders come out so fast I wonder if they’ve actually prepared it to order (which I know they do for each sandwich order).
I haven’t had a lunch order from here in quite a long time (probably on the order of 10 years or more), so I can’t comment on the deli side of things except to say my wife is quite pleased when she orders the lox and cream cheese sandwiches.
Bagel Bazaar is a decent breakfast place with a long tradition in North Brunswick. Great for decent bagels (which they make themselves) and for good breakfast sandwiches. Also a great stop on holidays when other places are closed!

This place has gone downhill. The food is mostly good, but inconsistent; stay away from ordering anything from the grill since it will take a good ½ hour for them to do it. Probably the most unorganized order processing system ever. Last visit ended with a customer complaining about the long wait and the mistake in his order for the second week in a row, only to be reacted by the cashier/​owner «taking it outside» with him – arguing and finger-​pointing as the already immense line inside waited for him to finish his schoolyard tom-​foolery. Go there for a bagel and nothing more.

Poor service and terrible cinnamon raisin bagel. The bagel was dry and rock hard

When I first moved to New Brunswick three years ago, I was happy to find a great spot for bagels and breakfast. Two years ago, they changed ownership/​management and the menu/​staff.
I want to like this place. It has a great location, next to my gym, the supermarket, so close to my house. They have a great variety of bagels and lunch items. I like to get a multi-​grain bagel and add my own toppings at home. I actually go here almost once a week. But the service isn’t too great.
I went here on Sunday with my fiancé. We ordered pancakes with a side of egg whites and wheat toast. (I was planning on eating lunch so I didn’t want to fill up on breakfast). The ladies took our order and we waited 5 – 10 minutes for it. They gave it to us on one plate with one set of utensils. I think they clearly knew we were splitting it. Why couldn’t she give us another plate? When I asked for a fork, she was washing dishes and just pointed to where they were. That was the last straw.
I don’t expect people to bring me breakfast on a silver platter or anything, but at least freaking smile and be sincere! They don’t go out of their way to be friendly or appreciative. And I’m done with this place, time to find a new breakfast spot. When I find it, I’ll update my review.

Great sandwichs and bagels. I go there after the gym alot and get honey turkey and cheese on wheat and it is so good.

No Idea why I have not reviewed this place yet. I have been here at least 300 times. Been coming since high school. Love the bagles, soups and the sandwiches. Service is great. The ladies are pros. 1 reason why they are not getting 5 stars…
–Credit card minimum… I cannot tell you how I hate this. I never ever ever have cash. So after I roll out of bed on Sunday morning I search the house/​car for enough change for an everything with cream cheese.

I come here at least once a week. If you are a regular here and order the same thing after only a few times they know your order.
The service is quick and it’s normally just 2 or 3 people helping out.
It has bagels but they have deli meats too so you can get just about any type of sandwich and it’s all reasonably priced.
