I highly recommend Dr Michaels! After losing, and keeping off, 106 pounds following gastric bypass in 2009, it was time to address the excess skin issue. I interviewed three plastic surgeons and did a tremendous amount of research about the procedures I wanted. Dr Michaels was far and above my top choice.
I was impressed by his knowledge and skill set, as well as his friendly, genuine bedside manner. He truly cares and it shows. He was also realistic on what I could expect afterwards, which I appreciated. I had an extended abdominalplasty, mons rejuvenation and brachioplasty. I am thrilled with the results! Next year I’ll have an inner thigh lift.
His office manager, Leah, is also wonderful to work with. Overall, this is a great practice.

Great Surgeon! Had one procedure done and the results are perfect! He took his time and answered all my questions during every visit (pre and post-​op). Exceptional bedside manner! He made himself available via phone, email, skype, etc. At first, I was not happy with my results and voiced this to him. He assured me that after all the swelling went down I would truely like the final results. He was absolutely correct! I love the results! I get many compliments from my friends and family!
His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the services he provides! Both office locations are neat, clean, and close to the interstate. Overall experience and results ¹⁰⁄₁₀!!! I have recommended him to my friends and family and would recommend him to you!

Just had my post op appointment. It went wonderful! Dr. Michaels is the best plastic surgeon. Not because he did such great work on my mess, after having 4
C-​sections; open partial hysterectomy; 3 hernia repairs & gastric sleeve… But because out of all the doctors I could have went with. The 1^st visit u could just see the love he has for his field, just pouring through his touch, pictures, ideals, enthusiasm. Just so focused! He can across as a man whom not just had a job, but a love for his field! He is very compassionate, alert & has personality. He didn’t make me feel like cattle, like a paycheck. I love this guy!
Now about my assessment. Went awesome, drain came out!
Not to mention my body is hot!!!

Dr Michaels is the best plastic surgeon in the area! I have been seeing him since 2010 for forehead brow Botox injections, which are relatively painless and last a ridiculously long time (I find I only need to go in every 4 – 6 months and/​or up to a year). I did extensive research on the surgeons CVs in the local area before choosing him. He is very accepting, caring with a good eye for esthetics. He likes to keep any Botox procedure natural looking without over doing it just to get more units… unlike others I know. He also did some amazing soft tissue neck refinement with Smartlipo after I had 2 previous genioplasties elsewhere. It turned out better than I could have imagined. See the photos on his website. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with appointment times and schedule changes. If you are looking for an amazing down to earth plastic surgeon I highly recommend Dr Michaels!

I am a nurse and I don’t settle on who provides my care. My surgeon must be a fantastic surgeon, and have the bedside manner of my favorite nurse. Dr. Michaels is that and more.
I went to him for body contouring after losing almost 200lbs. He did an extended abdominalplasty and my arms or brachialplasty. I can be a difficult patient and he has been so kind. My scars are healing beautiful and my abdomen looks good.
I definitely recommend Dr. Michaels and his staff. And I will return for future contouring as soon as I can.

Dr. Michaels is amazing. He did an excellent job of listening to my desires and making suggestions without making me feel bad about myself. He also was extremely respectful of my budget and didn’t try to make me go over. LOVE HIM will, he will def be my regular doctor!

After my 3 year old was bitten on the mouth by a friend’s dog in a potentially disfiguring fashion, Dr. Michaels, the on-​call Plastics Attending at Suburban Hosp in Bethesda, swooped in and saved the day. Aside from his personable and engaging bedside manner (he clearly has young children of his own), Dr. Michaels did such a spot-​on, amazing job with the stitches (in an extremely tricky area– the wound crossed over the lip line) that today, several months later, my daughter has perfectly smoochable lips and an almost invisible scar. We are so grateful that Dr. Michaels was our surgeon– he’s awesome! I’m a SICU nurse and I’ve seen good and bad surgeons– I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Michaels to any of my family and friends. He is extremely skilled at what he does.

Dr. Michaels did an amazing job on our 2 year old son who thought it would be a good idea to put his forehead into a table corner. Dr. Michaels took his time with our son during the emergency visit to the hospital that required 15 stitches and made our entire family feel at ease.
Our follow up appointments were even more pleasant and you could tell Dr. M really cared about our little guys well being. He went above and beyond to personally take care of us. A huge thank you to him and his amazing staff for making this experience as pleasant as possible.

My son had a accident at school the Friday before Labor Day weekend. Dr Michaels met us at the hospital at about 5:00 and patiently sutured my sons fingers. My son has a strong personality and at that point was waiting at the hospital for 3 hours.Dr. Michaels help saved his fingernails and dealt with my son at his level with humor. Our follow up visits were just as great. I would highly recommend Dr. Michaels. He is patient, explains everything well and very knowledgeable.
