I went to this GAP to get a simple purchase, a polo shirt! I have frequented GAP before and I love their products and it’s reasonable price! But this time I was served by this shady employee of theirs and all the signs were there but i gave the GAP the benefit of the doubt! If GAP trusted him enough to hire him I believed any employee will be trusted! I was so wrong!!! I degrees, back to my story, so I asked for a polo shirt, the gentleman proceeded to show me where they are and I tried them and decided to buy it! As any one who wants to get bang for their buck I asked if their is any deals that are running now and the gentleman told me their is one where when you sign up for ‘reward points’ you get 15% off! And my first question was«Is this a credit card!?» He replied«No it’s a rewards card. You just get discounts. «Then I asked, «Does it cost me anything!?» and he replied«no», I asked again«any monthly or yearly maintenance fees,» he said«NO» ! So after that he asked for my ID ! I have been asked for ID’s before so I didn’t really give it a big deal! Then after that the screen showed me to put my social! I am like wait a second, why do you need my social! Is this a credit card?! He said«No ! Everybody asks that ! It’s important to ask but it’s just for verification!» I should have known to stop the transaction by then and contact the manager! But I seriously trusted it’s for verification! Then after finishing the transaction! I thanked him walked out of the store and in a few minutes I just got a call from Life-lock asking me if I just got a credit card at the GAP! Let’s just say my anger boiled to a level I have never known it can boil! The one thing that hinder all this is I had respected the Brand GAP! Maybe too much ! I went back contacted the manager! Explained the situation and returned the product! If I can’t trust someone or a company I can’t do business with them! If I can give 0 stars I would give this GAP store just that! The only good thing about this place is they got the products you need! The manager is very nice and helpful! But one person can not run a store! I will never shop at the GAP or any of its affiliates ever again! Pity they actually have good stuff I like !
