The food was great and the staff was amazing. We got a gift card for Christmas and just got around to using it. Delicious. We will definitely go back

wow wow wow. we just went for our 2 yr Anniversary dinner and we ordered some wine, Fried calamari, and we were both in the Veil mood, so we both ordered Vitello Sorentino — which is the Veal scaloppini topped with prosciutto, eggplant and mozzarella in a red sauce with white wine. Mouth watering. We had a wonderful time. This is a must go for great Italian food. Next time I am doing gnocchi’s. Thank you thank you. don’t ever lose that chef you have.

The staff is always so friendly and the food is great! Always fairly priced and delicious. I’ve tried the shrimp parm and chicken francese(my go-to choices), both perfect. My friend tried a red snapper special and described it as «addicting» and she’s a hard one to please. Will be back time and time again.

Excellent food !!! Hard to find great places without having to drive to the city or queens. Local to our place in north bellmore is just one of the perks! I always get the shrimp Parmesan and it’s amazing every time! The rest of the table orders other random stuff which I always get to pick at and try but overall never had a bad meal or tried something I didn’t like. I suggest making a reservation as this place stays busy. Oh yea the pours for their wine at colossal as well :)

This restaurant has been a family favorite for years. Tuesday Pasta night – pasta entrée with salad for $ 12.95 – is a great deal. Had an issue with the salmon being undercooked and the staff took it back right away and the manager came over to apologize. Nevertheless, solid Italian food, inviting atmosphere, and friendly staff. Definitely coming back!

Great food and welcoming staff! A large selection of appetizers, which we love, and everything we ordered was delicious. The owner came out to introduce himself, and our server couldn’t have been more attentive. It’s kind of unassuming from outside, but once you go in you will be happy you did! We will definitely be going back.

I went there a few days ago with my family. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened(Google said they opened at 11am, however they open at noon). They happily gave us a table and accommodated all our requests. Food was very good. I had Caesar salad and chicken marsala. Customer service was excellent.

Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I go here for dinner every chance we get. I love their lasagne and he loves the penne alla vodka, rigatoni broccoli rabe. Ugh and what is dinner without dessert! Cappuccino with tiramisu, yum.

Had dinner this evening with friends at Elisa’s. We’ve eaten here before, but I have only recently come to appreciate more than just the food. The food is wonderful — I had Veal Marsala and(really good) potato croquets. Others at our table had ciappino, and veal sorrentino. There was nothing left on anyone’s plate. Back to other than the food — John Patrick E. was our waiter — attentive, but not intrusive. Such an asset! Rocky was also fun as he stopped by our table. Lucky to have them as a local place.

I took my friend here last night for her birthday. The place itself looks a little outdated, but I have heard the food is excellent so we looked past the décor. We shared a fried calamari appetizer, it tasted pretty standard. My friend had gotten the pumpkin ravioli special and I had gotten the Cavatelli bolognese. Her ravioli were alright, they lacked a little bit of flavor. My Cavatelli were very good, however neither of our portions were very big. When we go out to dinner, neither one of us ever finish our entrees, we always end up taking at least half of our dinner home. This was not the case last night. We both licked our plates clean, and could have eaten more. And for 16 bucks for a plate of pasta, you expect a much larger serving. I’m not really sure if I would go back or not. For the same price, I could go to Passione in Carle Place and leave there full.

The owner and executive chef was absolutely amazing!!! For starters. My fiancé and I were in the parking lot very sceptic to walk in. We saw him getting out of his car and instantly he was so welcoming and looked like any other regular guy.
We walked in and sat at the bar which had a really nice selection the décor was classic Italian, very quant and homey. I told him we saw his place on Unilocal and they were rated 4 stars and he continued with how he has a favorite Unilocaler(much brownie points in my book because he actually cares about how his brand is seen! Love it) The wait staff were all smiles and pleasant. The chef asked us what did we have a feel for, but we were in for a treat because he personally made our dishes and took total creative control AND added a COMPLEMENTARY appetizer(which was excellent may I add; caramelized onions, goat cheese, BACON! And topped with Basil on a beautifully toasted crostini yummy) All in all we had an amazing experience at Elisa’s. And this a place I would love for people to try!

Save your time and your money! If you consider this a «traditional Italian» or «authentic Italian» restaurant, then you must say the same about a can of spaghettiO’s. Went here with my gf and her family to meet them for the first time, and as soon as we walked out, her step dad says, «can we have a re-do because that was not what I remembered it to be?» He told her the next day how embarrassed he was after choosing to go there and not worth the amount of money he paid. Folks, it should be a give away if it’s half empty on a Saturday night! I am not a picky eater and by all means I rarely write negative reviews, but 5⁄6 people from the group did no enjoy their meals here that night so I was not the only one. At least it’s a running joke now with her step-dad and I, so for that, I award Elisa’s one star.

Friend told me his family has all their big celebrations at Elisa’s, so we came to eat last night before an Islander game at the Coliseum. The homemade gnocchi was one of the best I’ve ever had. The team is very professional, they know everything about everything on the menu and offer side variations not on the menu. Everything delicious, couldn’t have been more impressed. I’ll be back.

Went there the Saturday night after new year’s. Got there about 6:30. Restaurant was pretty busy but we got seated right away. Had the eggplant parm, wife had the veal parm. Both portions were quite nice and tasted very good. Wife took half hers home. Bread was hot so plus one for that. Friends we were with also enjoyed their food but I don’t recall what they ordered. Would definitely go back.

This is a very popular Italian Restaurant for local families and the + 65 age group. I felt like I was in a nursing home when we wandered in for some Italian food. Don’t misunderstand, everyone was kind and the food was Italian; but it starts and ends there.(think pizza parlour with white cloths on the tables). That being said, we ordered simple, basic dishes. We started with fried calamari — It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Then we had the chicken parmesan, and a pasta dish. Our meal was okay; but the sauces weren’t memorable. Elisa’s does not have a bar to speak of, a cocktail menu or even a wine menu. The wines they did have are the type that you would find with kangaroos or birds on them,(Italian, of course) at a ridicuous price. We had water. The owner made his rounds thru the restaurant and stopped at our table, which I thought was really nice. Note to self: do this when you get to work more often. All in all, it was Okay.

Believe it or not, I actually came here for my bachelorette party. A party of three quiet girls, but that’s a story for another day. Since I came here about two months ago, I cannot recall the exact names of what I tried. Nonetheless, I do remember that we had drinks… the drinks I had were cocktails that weren’t by any means memorable. Our appetizer was a pizza that we shared. It didn’t taste out if this world, but what I liked is that the owner/chef came to our table and asked what we thought. Maybe it was our waitress that spilled those beans or maybe it was my hot pink bachelorette banner I had my friends make me wear. I dunno, but I thought that was nice. We ordered one entrée for there girls(one didn’t feel like eating at all, and the two girls left over were full enough just to share). The entrees are not cheap and the size of the salmon entrée we had was actually quite disappointing since the price was high. I have to say that the salmon was yummi!!! It came on a beg of spinach that was ok, but the salmon was really good. The atmosphere is actually old world Italian restaurant. I would probably want them to renovate the space a bit. The majority of the clientele were in their 60s-80s and we younglings felt a bit out of place. I suppose that’s all, folks. :)

Food is amazing! I mean really really delicious. Only thing we weren’t crazy about was the mozzarella sticks. Probably shouldn’t have ordered them from there anyway with all that tasty food. The waitress Diana was lovely! We never had to ask for a thing– she is totally on point. Large portions of food. House salad dressing is to die for! Monday night is shrimp night, Tuesday is pasta night. It’s a great place– highly recommend it.

I pass this restaurant on my way to and from work everyday. We’ve been looking for a good Italian place to eat for what seems like forever as my husband is a very picky Brooklyn-Italian. We finally made a reservation based on the Unilocal reviews. We have since been back twice. The food is amazing. Not only do the wait staff explain in detail the specials, they also tell you the price… which not many places do anymore and you usually end up with a ‘huge’ surprise at the end of dinner when you receive your check. The restaurant itself could do with a makeover but, it doesn’t matter what the place looks like because the food is amazing, and you feel like you’re home. On our first visit, I had the scallop appetizer that that was seared(to perfection) and topped with roasted garlic mashed potatoes with a wasabi purée… Absolute heaven. The calamari was perfectly cooked too. We went back a second time without a reservation and were seated in less than 5 minutes and the place was packed. Veal chop with balsamic reduction and figs, shrimp parmigiana… Don’t make me talk about the potato croquette either(do yourself a favour and just order it). The manager/owner was so attentive and polite, he found my husband the same wine that we had had on our previous visit. The chef asked how our meal was too, they care about the customer, almost treating you like family. It seems like restaurants these days forget about the things that are important. The food, and the customer. Those things Elisa’s has not forgotten and this is why they have so many good reviews and so many loyal customers. I am a fan and we’ll be back, again and again.
