We come here on a pretty regular basis because they have great prices and the food and service are always really good

I read some of the other reviews and was surprised.(Dirty Chinese food? Wtf?) I stop in here quite a bit to get Chinese take out. Their food is good. The chicken almond ding is fantastic. The service is always great and the people have always been friendly. I highly recommend.

Always on time and fresh, practical for those night where no one wants to cook in the house yet have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Also great Tupperware.

I usually order Chicken and Broccoli when I go to Chinese restaurants. The Chicken and Broccoli at the East China Inn is excellent. I’ve also sampled other dishes such as Lemon Chicken, Sweet And Sour Shrimp and Chicken Fried Rice. All were excellent. I think this is the best Chinese restaurant in this area.

Very good food! Lunch specials at great… but when I called they always put me on hold before waiting for a response. It’s rude.

Meh. That’s all you can really say about this place. Meh. I’m not a huge fan of what I like to call«dirty Chinese food»(a.k.a. not P.F. Chang’s Chinese food) but this place didn’t have ANY really good dishes even though we got a ton of food to sample as it was our first time trying this place and we were getting delivery for 6 people. Don’t get me wrong… the prices were decent and the food was oooooooookay, but the egg rolls were mushy(which is my favorite part of dirty Chinese!) and nothing was memorable. Everything was bland and boring and many of the things that we got tasted the same. Maybe it was a bad day… maybe they couldn’t find the place because we were in new construction(and therefore the food got yucky on the way?)…maybe I’m coming up with excuses that aren’t legit either way. I don’t know. Luckily, I was just visiting so I don’t HAVE to dine here, or find an alternative either, but my sister has her work cut out for her to find good Chinese in the area.

Still my favorite place for crab rangoons, seriously, the best! Been coming here for years, one of my favorite places for Chinese food. I definitely recommend eating in, their tea is delicious and I love their egg drop soup. Staff always great, food is awesome, can’t go wrong here!

Where’s the noodle?! I know it was there lunch special, but they hardly gave me any noodles! Why so stingy with the noodle when they cost so cheap?! I wont be going back there!

East China Inn has been my family’s favorite Chinese food restaurant since the early ’90’s. They have good service and are always speedy when delivering! I highly recommend.

Hmmm… these recent reviews have me quite puzzled. My wife and I eat there any time we want Chinese food. I think we had a tough piece of General Tao’s once, but other than that we always love it! We’ve been to many a Chinese restaurant, and we know good food when we eat it. We always get the potstickers and egg roll with the«Group Dinner» where you pick 2 entrees, white rice, 2 egg rolls, and choice of shrimp or potstickers.($ 13.95 per person) We usually take home half. I read one person say they were tasteless, tough, and there was no sauce. Well, I can assure you they are NOT tasteless, they do come with a dipping sauce, and the dough is quite thick, but delicious. Even if you don’t like the taste, you can deny that it has flavor. We love them. The hot and sour soup is delicious, and my wife loved the won ton soup. If I were you, I’d try it and formulate your own opinion. I do have to add though, I cannot speak to delivery, as we always sit down. The atmosphere is nice, not at all crowded, and the food is at its freshest. Enjoy!

My boyfriend had talked this place up based on the food at the Montgomery RD/Frontenac location and we were both thoroughly disappointed. The online ordering was quick and easy and the lunch specials were good portions for a reasonable price but the food is just not good. The pot stickers were thick and chewy with no flavor and no sauce. The General Tso’s Chicken had no spice to it and tasted more like Orange Chicken. The Chicken and Broccoli was average, not a ton of flavor but that’s expected with that meal. The Chicken Fried Rice was yummy though, the bean sprouts and green onions in it were a pleasant surprise. All in all though, we won’t be back.

Don’t get take out. They’ll mess your order up and when you call to complain, they promise a credit on your next order. They messed up my order EVERYTIME after that until the 5th time I said I didn’t want a credit. After much debate, someone showed up at my house, tried to open the front door to give me the food without saying a single word. No «I’m sorry», no nothing. The food quality has greatly dropped as well since this place has changed hands so much. If the food isn’t as good and the service is crap, its not worth the hassle.

Ordered delivery, it came on time and the order was correct, but the food was terrible. Bit into an egg roll that had the texture of toothpaste rolled up in a paper towel. I passed it to the dog. She tried it, then opted to chew on herself instead. Opened up the General Tao’s chicken and took a bite. Seemed like they breaded a piece of chewed bubble gum, soaked it in water, then rolled it in sauce. Tried to write it off as a bad piece, but the next three were just the same. Into the trash it went. Onto the final shred of hope that my fiancé and I had, the order of beef and broccoli. No complaints about the broccoli or the sauce, but the beef was pretty chewy. White rice was… White rice. I’d be impressed if that was done wrong. If you’d like prompt service of edible white rice at the cost of a full meal for two, you’ve found your spot. Also, the food here does an outstanding job of taking up space in the trash. Wouldn’t eat here if it was free.

This is the second terrible review I’ve had to make about East China Inn of North Aurora. I order a simple large beef fried rice. Fairly quick delivery as it was lunch time. But when I started eating my large beef fried rice, I noticed it was really only fried rice. Very very little to almost no beef at all. This seems to be a growing trend with them. I can not say all 4 locations have this same problem, but I would try a different location if you are interested in trying their inconsistent food. It’s really hard to give up on a place you’ve eaten at for over 10 years, but this was the last straw. I’m done, and if this keeps up, so will be their business.

East China is our typical go to place but this last time, it just wasn’t up to par. I think I’ll have to take a look elsewhere. There were four of us so we ordered a bunch of different things to share. The crab rangoons were tasty but overcooked. The hot and sour soup was more sour than we typically like. The entrees were ok, just seemed a bit flat. It’s a bummer, because we have lots of fun memories there.

This place used to be a pretty good place to eat however the last 6 – 7 years this place has turned for the worse. I may eat there 2 times a year in hopes it turned back to being good. Last time we ate in there the waiter burped out loud and continued like nothing happened. I don’t know any asian people but I’ll assume this is considered rude in their culture also. Makes you wonder what goes on behind the kitchen doors if they are like that in front of you. I always get the same male waiter that has been there since I can remember 15 years or more? He just has no social skills or just doesn’t like people. Food is Ok but it used to be one of the best… my recommendation is skip this place

We ordered online for delivery. After an hour of waiting I called and they said they had just received the order. Another 15 minutes later we still didn’t have our food so I called again to see if we could get something for the inconvenience. Basically I was told that it was the websites issue and they didn’t do anything wrong. I specifically asked if we could have our bill reduced or get something for our trouble and they said no. They continued to make excuses and at one point got quite rude on the phone. It doesn’t matter what the reason for the bad service, it was still bad service and they made no attempt to make us a happy customer.
