Love this place. One of the only good places to bring friends in North Andover. Plenty of beer choices on tap. All the food is fantastic but the wings are the absolute best! Great sports bar and local hangout.

I will be first to admit, this is a dive bar. But that’s the best part about this place. No Frills, good food, and an excellent beer menu. Jimmy(the owner) is a little crazy, but he has a heart of gold. And he cares about his business that I think is important when it comes to the restaurant industry. If you are looking for a good pizza and good wings, be sure to get here early on the weekends. If you are looking for a 5-star high-class restaurant, please go somewhere else. Also, the beer selection is excellent. Jimmy gets in incredible craft beers from places like Maine Beer Company. I hope you enjoy!

I’ve been to Jimmy’s several times when the owner is working as the host, bartender, waiter and cook. He attempts to do it all and it can cause long wait times and overall poor service. He can be a bit rude as well so it’s really not worth trying.

The good: beer selection(especially for the suburbs). The bad: incredibly slow service and lousy food. The surreal: bartender wearing a Trump t-shirt while multiple large TVs broadcast Fox News. If you need somewhere to drink while your kid takes a tennis lesson, this is the spot. Otherwise, skip it.

Simply a perfect neighborhood pub. Great food, great beer selection, great service and great clientele. What more could you ask for?

The draw for me is the beer selection, which is pretty ridiculous for a bar tucked up out of sight over a tennis club. Jimmy has around 20 or so taps and some really diverse selections. Three different offerings from Maine Beer Co tonight was great. The food is above average pub fare and the pizzas are quite good.

Awesome pizza. Great beer. Stellar service. Jimmy was behind the bar and made us out of towners feel right at home. It is located above a raquet club so when not watching one of the many TVs showcasing all the different games, you can watch those practicing down below. The pizza is traditional bar pizza with a bit more crust and awesome fresh ingredients. I had the pulled pork pizza and it was delicious! If you’re in the area for a game at Merrimack I’d definitely suggest coming here for drinks and food afterward.

One of the best beer selections north of Boston. They consistently have stuff that you hardly ever see anywhere, especially from Maine Brewing Company. Chow is good bar fare. Wings are crispy and juicy, pizza is always a good choice And jimmy behind the bar always has good beer stories.

The stars are for the beer selection on tap only! Repeat, the 4 stars are for the beer only! I only found this place because I was looking for Grapefruit Sculpin on tap and this restaurant popped up on . I check out the website, pretty standard bar pub, but they also claim to have Maine Beer Co.‘s elusive Another One IPA. OK, I gotta check this place out. 20 minutes later we are sitting in a grimy pub restaurant, with a very young inexperienced waitress that had no idea what beer they had besides Bud. Ordered buffalo wings, not sure what that sauce was, but it was not buffalo, had a sweet taste and the wings were really skimpy and scrawny. We both ordered burgers, medium rare, they came out well done, small and blah frozen patties. BUT, all washed down nicely with an ice cold Another One. Couple across from us got the pizza which looked OK. Since I know that keg of Another One won’t last forever, I might have to go back just help them finish it. So go for the awesome beer selection they have on tap, no idea why or how they can support such a selection, but don’t go for the food, you will be dissapointed.

The beer selections is great, and there’s always something new on tap. The pizza is phenomenal though. I’d rate it the best in the area. Other good things to try are the steak tips and the pulled pork.

I’ve given this place 3 chances and so far it hasn’t lived up. I went there cause a friend recommended it and every time it’s been beyond terrible. The buffalo chicken nachos tasted like they’d be under a heat lamp for about a week. Just soggy chips with no buffalo sauce and no melted cheese. The Reuben was bland as was the Gouda burger. None of this surprises me when I saw the cook come out of the kitchen. It looks like jimmy picked him up under a overpass on 495, what a slob. Jimmy is probably the worst part… his shtick where he pretends he’s Italian is so ridiculous and over-the-top you almost have to respect it. He’s not Italian at all, he’s just a blow hard who watched the sopranos and now is trying to live it in real life. Also put on something other than country music.

I’ve been going to Jimmy’s Culpeppers almost once a week for about a year. I think it’s fantastic. The food is always very good. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and like the chicken wings, beef teriyaki, pizza, burgers, pot stickers and — best of all — Italian cold cut calzones. Jimmy has a passion for local beers and there are always new ones on tap, among the dozens of choices. It definitely has a pub atmosphere, which I like. There are also daily specials, including homemade pasta. Windows do look out over the tennis courts, which gives it some great character. I disagree with some of my fellow Unilocalers on a couple points. The bathroom is quite clean and I’ve never once heard Kenny Chesney being played. Highly recommend it!

Been here a few times and it is erratically hit or miss with the food and service. The only consistency with culpepper’s is that you will always only hear kenny chesney and nothing else. Also pretty sure jimmy isn’t really full on Italian.

I’ve been to this place numerous times. Somedays the food is good and other days it’s terrible. Unfortunately, it’s gotten to the point where the food has been bad more times than good. The service is awful… The wait staff is inexperienced. I think they only have one cook because when it is busy you can wait 45 mins for a salad with steak tips. It’s nice that the owner mingles with his customers, however he may need to spend more time with his staff. Furthermore, the beverages are good and there is always a new variety of beer. Also for some reason the only music ever playing in there is Kenny chesney… I love country and Kenny but change the music up. Finally, it would be nice if the owner could find time to clean the dirty bathrooms… I wonder how dirty the kitchen is.

This nest overlooking sweaty middle aged men playing racquet ball isn’t anything to write home about. Sure the foods adequate, but don’t be surprised if the owner insults you if you like a playground bully to the regulars slumped at the bar.

Horrible experience! Five of us went there for dinner on a Wednesday night, and after we were seated, Jimmy brought us menus and we ordered drinks. When he brought them he asked us if we were ready to order, which we weren’t. A few minutes later he came by and asked again. I said everyone was ready except me and I needed another minute. 10 minutes went by and we kept trying to get his attention. There were 3 people at one table and 2 men at the bar. Another party came in and he seated them, brought them drinks, and STILL did not come to take our order. The party of 3 near us was trying to get his attention for their bill. Finally the man stood up and walked over to Jimmy to get it. Jimmy then went and sat another party, served them drinks, and I yelled over to him that we were waiting to order. He took the man his tab, and STILL did not come over. After our wait of at least 25 minutes, we stood up to leave and he came over to the table. I told him I wanted the tab for the drinks and why we were leaving. In my haste, I left my credit card. After we left and I realized I had left my card I called him. He said he couldn’t check for me then because there was a party at our table. He said he was too busy but would check his video later to see if he could find it. He said he would call me that night. GUESSWHAT? He didn’t. I cancelled my card. The next day he called and said he found it in the trash. It had apparently gotten thrown away with the placemat it was on. GUESSWHAT? There were no placemats on any table. Good luck Jimmy, you are going to need it.

Good sports bar atmosphere, several big screen TV’s & no matter where you sit in the bar you can catch a game. The owners are behind the bar, not some big boob could care less Brittney Spears wannabe which so many sports bars tend to hire.(Atmosphere = 4 stars) They have a large selection of custom beers on tap(in excess of 20 taps); it’s something you don’t see too often. They have a decent selection of upper echelon liquors.(Booze selection = 5 stars) The pizza was tasty. They don’t use those frozen pizza crusts that makes for a cardboard tasting pie. It wasn’t the best I ever had, but it was good.(Pizza = 3 stars) The men’s room was skanky but this was the only downfall.(Men’s room –1 star) The owner looks like a cast member from the Soprano’s but give him a chance he’s a character and decent with the customers. Yeah, I’ll be back…

Great local pub to catch a game after work. Good pub food and friendly service/owners. Happy to have such a place in our neighborhood. Buffalo Chicken nachos are great. You know the service is good when you have only been to the place 2 times and the bartender already knows what you want to drink and has it ready before you even sit down.

Dined here again tonight… with our kids(around 5:30pm)…sat right down in a booth. We enjoyed another GREAT meal all around which is why they now get my 5 stars. :) Kids both got kids cheeseburger & ff’s…generous portions — served with a drink & a hoodsie! :) Husband & I splurged on the buffalo nachos… AMAZING is all I have to say… they were some of the best nachos we have shared in YEARS!!! A special thank you to our waitress for suggesting them. :) Needless to say my burger went home because I was so stuffed from the nachos… husband ordered a steak sub of some kind & clearly enjoyed it as there wasn’t a bite left. This place is worth a visit… if you’re in the neighborhood. I know we’ll be back.

One of the few(no its the only) neighborhood bar/restaurant in North Andover. However it’s not really in a neighborhood but above the Willow’s racket ball club in an office park just off of Rt 114,(behind Stop & Shop.) The barbecue is good, however the pizza is the best for miles. Homemade pasta doesn’t hurt either. Weekly specials. Service can be slow & the prices are no give away. Can be a little quiet here if you go too early & during the week, but it picks up later. Keno, full lottery, darts & plenty of flat screens means fun for all. NINETEEN beers on tap. Plenty of parking. Heading west, take the left, right before Stop & shop, heading east take the right, right after Stop & Shop.
