The recent remodel has made some rhyme and reason about the place. The sewing section my particular interest is now in the rear of the store. I still think the crafty part of the store seems to be taking over however. I do not like all the wreathy eucalyptus branch silk flowery garbage which is why i never set foot in a Michaels it makes me wheeze. The notions department could be better, in particular more serging supplies like a better selection of needles. It’s much more easier to navigate to the area I need, I just hold my breath through the crafting areas. The fabric selection is basic the staff helpful when i have coupons.

This is an older Joanns store but it gets the job done if you’re in the area and in need of fabric, craft supplies etc. They have a decent selection of seasonal décor as well. The staff has always been friendly and helpful any time that I have visited. If you can get past the fact that this is not a newly constructed /remodeled super Joanns then there is not much at fault here.

I’m surprised that this place has only 3 stars and even that someone had an awful experience with Bill. After I lost 4 buttons off my jacket in Salem, I came here to find replacements. I found a style I liked, but they only had 2 packs(I needed 6 total). Bill told me they could special order them, but it would take 2 – 3 weeks. He then checked Springfield(his wife’s store) and Reading. It turns out he lives near Reading and could bring them to the Norristown location for me to pick up the following day. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to pick up until two days later, but when I called to confirm they still had them, it turns out Bill had put them on hold for me in the office! Great customer service; I will definitely return!

Good prices for crafts and other creative items. Coupons are always readily available online. Come here if you’re looking for a combination of crafts, sewing, fabrics, and like I said, creative items.

Perhaps the worst Jo-Ann’s Fabric stores I’ve ever been to. The store itself is like one gigantic cluttered mess. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to how it’s set up, where things are, etc. They have limited supplies and very limited fabrics. Go to a super store like Collegeville or Fairless Hills — better selection. The customer service here is in serious need of some training on how to service a customer and how to be polite and friendly instead of making excuse after excuse of why a customer can’t be helped. I asked to have another store called to see if they had a fabric in stock. You would have thought I was asking Bill(the older gentleman) for his kidney. He was hemming and hawwing about calling the store and then kept saying he’s from Western Reading and didn’t know what store I was referring to(Fairless Hills). I got so aggravated I called the store myself. I would’ve been better off ordering the fabric wholesale from eBay. Won’t be back.. Will take my business elsewhere.

Standard craft Shop. I needed adhesive Velcro patches & they had just what I needed in a perfectly airconditoned environment

This is a nice, standard Jo-Ann’s. The selection is pretty craft-heavy, although somehow there isn’t as much selection here as some other craft stores. Sign up for their sale catalog as they have big sales regularly. If you need thread or a zipper, this is a great place to stop by.
