I really enjoyed my experience here. The soup came out quickly and has that homemade taste! Sauces were plentiful and the spring roll was awesome! It was more meal than I expected(that’s a good thing) so took some home! Yummy

I think everyone said it in their reviews for this place, but the owner is so damn nice. How is someone THAT nice and happy? My boyfriend and I came in from Las Vegas the morning after Superbowl, and needless to say, we both needed some food to help with our conditions. Phở sounded good so I Unilocaled the nearest location(which seemed a bit off because Rose Phở was definitely not even that close) and went in around 10:45. We were the first customers and right away, the owner thanked us over and over again, gave us big hugs, and told us HAPPYNEWYEAR(for Lunar New Year) and wished us good luck, blessings, and fortune for 2016. She literally set our table for us(set out our dishes, chopsticks, napkins, gave us extra sauces, made room for our elbows, etc etc) and kept calling me honey and sweetie and would not stop telling us nice things. She was honestly a breathe of fresh air. It was as if I was dining at her home. Besides the great customer service, the food was excellent as well. We ordered a lot, which we usually do, but was extra necessary for this morning. We each got small phos(with great tasting but light broths), a chicken banhmi sandwich, and I think it was their Winter Roll(a spring roll with grilled pork and fresh, crunchy veggies). All of the food was delicious. I wished Rose Phở wasn’t so far from where I live, but I made my boyfriend promise me that he will drive me there whenever I want it. that should say enough.

I went in there for the first time because I’ve heard great things and this place lived up to the reviews. The Lady who runs the restaurant walked out from around the counter and greeted me with a long hug and talked to me like she knew me and like I go there a lot. She then held my hands and said a prayer for me and wished me wealth, happiness and an overall great year. I’m not religious and don’t pray that much but she was just very sweet. Then I gave my order and she offered water or tea while I waited. I gratefully turned the offer down because I didn’t want to bother them with that and I was fine. I sat down to wait and she brought me tea anyway. Haha. Once my food was ready to go, every worker in the restaurant said their goodbyes to me and I was on my way. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be going back soon!

The owner and staff made me feel so welcome. Right away I felt as though I was eating at their home! I haven’t been to many restaurants that offer such a relaxed, homelike feel. You can tell that the staff is happy to be there and they check up on you often. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. I highly recommend checking out this place!

Trinh is a sweet heart and Saint! Eating here is like eating at my moms place. She greets me with open arms, warm hugs, big smile and tons of love! Growing up on Vietnamese food I have few places I visit for good quality, home made Viet cuisine. I’m happy to report to the public that Rose Phở is one of them! I’ve had the phở, vermicelli combo and the pork and rice combo. All very good and very authentic with no MSG. This is definitely going to be my go to spot for Vietnamese cravings!

The GF and I went here to replenish after a late night of guzzling wine. I always like a nice warm bowl of Phở to help me get back on my feet. We decided to try this place since it was relatively close to our home and we’ve tried pretty much every phở place in our area. As we entered, we were greeted with warm welcomes, followed by warm wishes and hugs from the owner lady. She seemed very genuine and nice, and told us her life story of being a doctor is Vietnam before migrating to America. The atmosphere is not your typical hustle bustle phở shop with loud noises. You know, the type where you know you’ll be leaving smelling like you’ve bathed in a tub of phở broth and onions. It was quaint(aside from the time the waiter vacuumed the front door rug), the TVs were on mute displaying picturesque images of countryside Vietnam, and the walls were decorated with bible verses and studio photos of their food. We ordered the calamari to start. The batter was crispy and flavorful, and the squid was tender. The plate was decorated with a rose made of a dyed daikon ribbon– very nicely done! Delicious, however a bit oily. The GF had the combo vermicelli bowl(bun Thit nuong combo) and it was very generously portioned. I had the phở dac biet, which is the special with everything in it. Without asking, the waiter asked if I wanted the fatty broth on the side– heck yes! I always order it at other places because I like the richness. The owner came over when I was putting my sauces together and gave me some of their saté. I was elated because I like putting that in my phở also for a spicy aromatic kick. The broth(before I added all the stuff) was beautifully sweet and flavorful. The noodles were cooked nicely and still at a bite to them. Even the tripe was tender and delicious! I’ve had a bad experience eating tripe at other places where I choked on a piece of chewy tripe. After speaking with the owner, she gave us an order of spring rolls to go for free! Awesome place. I highly recommend it.

I liked the noodle bowl I ate, nicely seasoned pork and the noodles were fresh, a lot of salad and a nice tasting fish sauce. I also ordered the avocado smoothie that I did not like, and I usually love avocado smoothies, the tapioca was dry and not cooked well, and one of the worse tasting avacado smoothies I have had sorry. I would eat here again, I just would not order boba.

Whenever we go to Rose’s, we are greeted warmly at the door. The owner gives my son a hug and tells us we need to have another one… great customer service. The food is nice Vietnamese. We usually get the salt & pepper squid, some phở, and the green bean tofu dish. The food is always delicious and the service is personal and great.

I must say this is the new spot! Service is amazing the moment you walk through the door. Ms. Trinh was very courteous and welcoming. Like the other reviews, we were thank for coming and supporting her restaurant. I ordered phở, all I can say is it’s very darn close to home-made. The broth was good and the meat quality was great as well. If you’re in the area, it’s a must try to see it for yourself. Definitely bring my family and friends here.

I’ve never been to a place that’s so welcoming and lovable to every costumers they have! The foods are great and specially I love the spring rolls here that they put in it’s like a crunchy stick if that makes sense. Lol idk what it’s called. But definitely would come by any time when I’m feeling some good phở place!!!

Ordered crispy noodle stirfried seafood dish. Pretty good but lacked sauce for the noodles to absorb. More sauce would have been better. Large combo phở was very good. Tasted and smelled the meaty bone flavor. Wife ordered the small which it definitely is. Go with the large. The food came out very fresh. The spring rolls we ordered were made freshly with the wrap and noodles still soft and moist like when I make it at home. People are very nice which you can’t always say about phở places. Owner and their kids(I think they were the owners kids) are not the most experienced wait staff but they are warm and friendly. Service and freshness make this place standout.

I’m torn on how to rate this place! I would give it a high three/low four. The place is far from where I live and deep in the middle of nowhere. Not too tough to find but further than id prefer to travel for phở. The inside was very clean and cutesy; walls were filled with quotes and pretty photos. The bathrooms were nice too! The server was SUPER friendly. Right off the bat, she thanked us multiple times for coming in, and gave lots of hugs… I’ve never been hugged by a restaurant owner before! I barely even hug my friends LOL so it was very surprising but i found it to be very sweet. She is obviously serious about her business and maintaining good relationships with her customers. The hospitality makes me want to return and try more stuff on the menu! The food was good! Then have tons of options to choose from. I got phở. I liked that the meat wasn’t overcooked. Usually, I feel like well done steak is tough to eat but it was perfect here. Food came out quick, good sized meal, great meat, good broth but not suuuuper memorable or outstanding. The veggies were fresh too! No wilted bean sprouts… I guess I’m keen to veggies when assessing the quality of a phở restaurant. Unfortunately, towards the end of the meal, they made an error in splitting the payment. My friend made sure to tell them whose card belonged to whom, but they still messed it up. It was a $ 14 difference but the worse part was that they were unable to fix it. She apologized profusely and suggested my friend just pay me the difference. Apparently there was no way for her to fix it??? Odd. During my drive home, I realized she could have refunded the difference to me in cash out of till, and charged my friend the rest of the difference on her card. It could have been solved… I wish I realized it sooner so I could have asked the server if it was possible! Monetary issues are such an inconvenience to fix… I get it, but they shouldn’t make us fix it on our own when they were the ones who made the mistake :( Besides that issue, the food is good, and the service is very hospitable. They regularly checked on us and filled our waters before it was even halfway finished; they personally handed us fortune cookies and guava candy which I thought was a cute and simple touch. A great place to try if you’re in the Des Moines area.

Yo… I drove deep to try this place. I neeever go to Des Moines but I found myself here tonight(and I dragged a friend). It’s like 20 minutes away from home, which isn’t bad, but I literally had no idea where I was! Also, let me start by saying it’s a solid 3.5, but I can’t bring myself to round it down to a 3 because of how sweet the service was. It’s in the middle of a little outdoor strip mall kind of place, so it has a nice location! Décor: Everything was very clean and really cute! They had a bunch of little quotes up on the wall everywhere which was I thought was pretty cute… And they have a nice blown-up mini menu up by the register so you can actually see some of the things on their menu when you first walk in. I found that Rose Phở is actually a lot cleaner than most phở places too, which always sits well with me. Food: The broth is definitely more sweet than what I normally like. I’m more of a salty/beefy broth kind of girl, so the broth wasn’t my favorite at all. I was a disappointed in the cuts of meat as well — I got the brisket w/well-done flank and they were super fatty cuts of meat. :/They give you HUGE pieces too, but luckily it was tender enough that it kind of just fell apart. Service: I want to say that the service was picture perfect… I really do. And it almost was!!! But there was just one thing… I ordered for myself, my phở and thai tea, and a to-go order for my boyfriend back at home. The owner(little asian lady) confirmed with me which card was mine, and which one was my friend’s. My friend only ordered a bowl of phở for herself, so our receipts were very different in price. Even after confirming the debit cards, my friend got charged for my bill, and me for her’s. So I paid $ 8, and she paid $ 23. :/ Outside of that mishap, the owner was SOSWEET. She thanked us for coming in several times, called us sweetie every other word, and gave us like 3 hugs each?!? She’s soo soo sweet, it was literally impossible to get upset about her mixup. I’m not sure I’d drive out regularly, to be honest, but if I was in the area I would definitely come in again! Rose Phở definitely shines because of the owner, and any service like that would draw me in again no matter what they’re serving.

The best Vietnamese I’ve tried. I’m not specialist in Vietnamese food, but I know when I’m eating a good food. This is one of the places I go when I’m craving a good food. I’ve tried several of their plates and all are specially well prepared. The chef definitely have a good hand for cooking. It has also a very fair price and the staff is very nice people. It deserves 5 stars for sure!

This place will make you want to come back over and over and over even when you’re not hungry just because the service is so magnificent! We were greeted with a hug by the sweetest lady ever… Um yes yes please, again another hug. They were informative about their menu selection and dear sweet Jesus the food was spectacular. It was plated like the most beautiful meal you’ll ever eat. The restaurant was clean and lovely; just everything, everything was perfect! I want to move into this place! It was that awesome!

This place is amazing. We stopped in here on whim based on reviews. It was two miles farther than where we had planned but it was completely worth it! We got egg rolls, Chili-lemongrass chicken with white rice, and combo noodle. Ticket was less than $ 30 and we had plenty to take home. Extremely clean. Nice atmosphere. Family owned and operated. Very classy interior. HUGE selection. Photos of most items on the menu so you know what to expect. Affordable and good quantity. Definitely good value for the money. Staff is amazing. We got a chance to meet the owner and she blessed us. Was such a wonderful experience and an exceptional meal. Can’t say enough nice things about this place. If you give it a try I can almost guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Pot stickers were good, phở was way too salty, spring rolls were lacking(very small and mainly filled with lettuce). Service, ambience and presentation was excellent! Unfortunately my husband got very sick after eating his dinner and barely made it home…(know what I’m saying). Too bad as the owner(I think) and waitstaff were really great:(
