I eat here frequently, avoid Friday’s due to too many people… Took a chance today. Got right in! Food was excellent(had the campfire chicken) my service was lacking though… Waitress only came back 2x and had to ask her to fill my water glass twice. And she could see that it needed attention. Will I be back… Yes… Is it worth the money… Yes. Just hope staff is on point better next time.

Cracker Barrel has a place in my heart when it comes to good old country favorites. It had been a long time since we had been to a Cracker Barrel so when our hotel did not provide a free breakfast, we knew exactly where we were going for breakfast. We arrived pretty early and had not problem getting our seat. I think that the wait staff was trying to finish up a couple of things for the start of the day, so I was very impressed that after seating us the manager came to our table to serve us until the waitstaff was ready. I had one of the breakfast specials that gave me eggs, hash browns, sausage and biscuits and gravy. I love getting this combo and have a special way of getting the perfect bites out of the meal. Would it be to strange to get a order of dumplings for breakfast?

After reading reviews I expected overwhelming great service. Instead it was less than stellar! Arrived around 4:05, promptly seated and within 3 minutes exactly was asked twice if we were ready to order. I asked for more time, as their two menus have many options. I first asked what was in the chicken salad sandwich(as everywhere prepares it differently) and her response started with. «Well if I had to guess.» Yeah scratch that! I ordered a sirloin medium, a loaded baked potato and house salad. I received a well done, no pink, tough to cut«sirloin», an over cooked, hard plain potato with a cup of butter and a packet of sour cream. Oh yeah and a salad beforehand. I guess water was in short supply bc I never got a refill after finishing my first glass. The server was quick to drop the check while we were barely halfway done and never to be seen from again. I waited 10 min after finishing for her to appear again to ask for a Togo box and eventually another lady asked if we needed anything else. I honestly wish we had gotten her! Just her greeting alone to her tables was cheerful and warm! Still unsure who our server was, she could’ve quit for all I know because she literally disappeared! I’m sure she came back for her 30% tip though! Def won’t be back to this establishment!

FOOD: VERYFRESHANDCAMEOUTQUICK, I had the chicken fried steak which was great. Came with grits, biscuits and gravy, and hashbrowns which I didn’t get to because I got stuffed from the biscuits and Jam n apple butter which is Always Amazing. Biscuits are soooo fresh and warm and soft, I love them. CUSTOMERSERVICE: My waiter was a young guy but was very courteous and fast, the place has been at capacity for a while but he has been running to make sure all are taken care of. It was a while to order but understandably so. He did a great job overall. DEVOUR: I LOVE the gift shop much like everyone else, but for the seating Id like yo see cracker barrel upgrade to some booths and cushions with seats, it’s Always kinda cramped so you can hear everyone’s conversation but the food us always worth it.

This location seems to be very focused on customer service. On a Sunday morning we were seated within 10 minutes. Kelsey provided prompt friendly service. The food was very good. I had the blackberry compote with my pancakes and really enjoyed it.

I arrived at 6:30 a.m. midway through a long, exhausting roadtrip. Dora cheerfully greeted me, sat me at my table, pointed out the days specials and her favorites. I can’t say enough about how cheerful and personable this lady is. And yes, it does make a huge difference to the dining experience when you not only have EXCELLENT service, but FRIENDLY service. Cracker barrel is usually consistent in the food quality across the nation, but this location is far above the rest due to it’s waitstaff. Dora really helped set the tone for my day ahead. what a nice lady! If you stop in, ask for Dora, just give her a great tip. I guarantee she deserves it!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a Cracker Barrel, in fact I’ve only been to one before(in Arizona) but that one experience freaked me out and I vowed never to visit another, but my boyfriend convinced me to give this one a try as we are trying to try out new places in the area. So we arrived and were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our seats. Drink orders were taken and soon we both knew what we wanted and put in our order. Staff was super friendly but a bit forgetful. We didn’t get any bread till half way through out meals but the server made up for it with extra rolls and cornbread after the oversight was brought to her attention so that was nice. I had the chicken and dumplings which were really tasty. Much better than they looked lol. My bf had the chicken fried steak which he thought was very good. I tried a bite and really enjoyed it so I can confirm it is good. The tea was okay and the biscuits were very tasty. I’d pass on the cornbread myself cause I just didn’t like it much. It was too dry and crumbled at every bite. Apple butter was amazing and I will surely enjoy some of that on my next visit. Checking the tab and paying it took a bit too long for me personally and the screaming children on both sides of us was just about enough to make me wish I’d never stepped foot in the place but that had nothing to do with service(though I do believe if you work in food service and know a quite couple is sitting next to an older couple it may not be advised to sit a family with 2 young children and another couple with a newborn next to them. Just sayin.) or food which is what I’m rating this review on. Atmosphere was meh. At least that day. 3 solid stars. I would return for sure.

Looking forward to our visit to Oklahoma University, we needed to load up on a large breakfast. What better place to do that than Cracker Barrel? My breakfast of French toast, eggs, and the southwestern sausage I like so much really hit the spot. We left full of food and full of anticipation of our walking tour. I truly appreciate Cracker Barrel’s consistently quality offerings.

I have never been to Cracker Barrel in my life, and have heard so much about it from my boyfriend. He was shocked and appalled that I have lived in Texas for the majority of my life, have gone on road trips, and have ever noticed or stopped in to any of the Cracker Barrels along the interstate. So, on our way back from a wedding in Guthrie, OK, we made the monumental stop at Cracker Barrel. I really liked the country store feel of it on the way in — it kind of reminded me of Buckies but a teensy bit less in your face and gimmicky. We came for a late lunch and were one of the few people in the restaurant. I ordered the fried catfish sandwich with a side of fries and he ordered the rainbow trout with sides of okra and lima beans — while waiting for our food we munched on biscuits and cornbread and sampled some of their famous apple butter… that apple butter was darn good. I also enjoyed perusing their unique wall hangings and playing their triangle tee game(though it made me feel like a dumbo) during the wait. The catfish sandwich was really great — the fish was very tender and seasoned well, and NOT dried out! The bread was well buttered and toasted and the sweet pickles were a perfect complement. Needless to say, no condiments were needed during the consumption of this sandwich. The fries were a tad bit dry, but usually steak fries tend to be on the dry side — I still ate ‘em(have you met me?). I tried tastes of the bf’s dish and his trout was delish and the sides were yummy too. I liked how the portions were JUST right — not huge but enough to leave you feeling satisfied. The waitress was wonderful — she did a great job of checking up on us without smothering. Her patience was appreciated when we had a mini-argument about whether or not we NEEDED the apple butter :) I was extremely impressed with the food and service and will never overlook a Cracker Barrel again.

Great home cooked breakfast! Same atmosphere you get in every Cracker Barrel across the US! Always friendly, always clean.

This place is really great because it’s got nice people and hot yummy comfort food. The grilled chicken is quite tasty, and I’ve also had the chicken and dumplings. Our last visit was not good because they burned the chicken quite badly. However, I think they were having problems with a new cook or something. The manager was visiting several tables and comping the food. He was very nice to us and they handled it very well.

I went here with my dad, we both got the lemon pepper trout, and both thought it was delicious. It was a tad lacking in the seasonings for my taste, but still tasty. As sides, I got the dumplings and fried okra and my dad got mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. They were all decent, but I really enjoyed the macaroni. There is normally a choice between biscuits or cornbread, but they were out of the latter. The biscuits were okay, but pretty reminiscent of the ones you get at, like, KFC or something. Service was prompt and attentive throughout, except when it came to getting the check once we were finished. Overall, my mind wasn’t blown, but it was the first time I’d been to a Cracker Barrel and it was better than I expected for the price.
