Tiers Designer Cakes

From looking at the gallery, Tiers’ cakes look great. She really does some outstanding work. So, I was pretty surprised at my experience. When I picked up the cake, it looked very different from what I had pictured. The main fondant color was different than what I asked for, and the word congratulations was spelled wrong! Also, I had used an invitation as inspiration, and asked for a certain element to not be included. Not only did she use it, but it was kind of a main focal point of the cake. So, I just felt like she didn’t listen to me. Also, I felt the quality was poor considering what I paid for the cake. There were holes in the fondant and a large bulge on one side. The way the cake was boxed up, I wasn’t able to see this until I got it home because they were on the sides, and I didn’t notice the misspelling until I got it into the car. Despite the blemishes and the misspelling, and the fact the color wasn’t what I asked for, the cake still looked pretty good. I ordered the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and it tasted great.

Tiers Designer Cakes is a specialty cake business. While I have not had occasion to have cake from them yet, I have stopped in for cookies. The snickerdoodles were delicious! They were soft and buttery and had that great cinnamon-​sugar flavor. The chocolate crinkle cookies were also super soft, buttery and moist and had a decadently rich chocolate flavor. I highly recommend just stopping in one day for some of her decadent cookies! And take a look at her fabulous cakes!
