Good donuts. Not as good as Krispy Kreme but better than Dunkin… a little piece of Canada in the south.

Excellent coffee and breakfast food. Very fast drive through service. I had an iced latte and a grilled cheese panini and both were delicious. Highly recommend for quick inexpensive breakfast!

So this Tim Horton’s is on base, right near Gate 4. They also have a Great Steak & Potato and Coldstone located in the same building. Service is pretty fast, I always get something from Great Steak — they actually have pretty decent subs(not like Philly Subs on Tidewater Drive) but decent if you work on base and don’t feel like driving far. I tend to favor the chicken philly and they give you the most AMAZING French fries with some sort of yummy seasoning on them. Now since the Coldstone is smaller than a free standing one, they have a limited selection of ice cream. Tim Horton has coffee and baked goods — muffins and cookies but every time that I’ve been, they don’t look too fresh. I think that they get their items shipped to them they way that dunkin donuts does and nothing is baked on site.

Ok this review is for Tim Hortons. I was raised in Boston and was raised on Dunkies, Dunkin Donuts. I was having black coffee when I was six years old. I was a true Dunkin fanatic, not the jelly donuts– only the old fashioned donuts. As my palate matured I got my coffee extra lahge regulah. Well, Tim Hortons reminds me of Dunkies. Coffee is equal, regulah for Dunkies double double for Tim Horton’s. The croissant sandwich at Dunkies verses the biscuit sandwich for Tim Hortons. If you like Dunkies then you will like Tim Hortons. Both are equally as good. Ok, so it isn’t Stahbucks. So put a little blue collar in your your life, drop the snotty Stahbucks, where the coffee is grande or whatevah the hell they call it. Get a regulah or a double double and live a little. Eggs sandwiches made in a culinary delight called a microwave. No scones for you, that is pansy Stahbuchs stuff. Nope just cheese, sausage and eggs on a biscuit sandwich.

Coffee was good the glazed donuts not so much. It seems like the donut might taste good if it was not so old/cold. We stopped by around 1pm. My daughter in law ordered a chicken wrap which look ok. Definitely would come back for the coffee.

Timmy’s in Norfolk? i was Surprised to see this Canadian chain in this area. As soon as I saw it while roaming around the Naval base, i knew i had to get an ice cap and some timbits. They are attached to a Cold stone creamery and a great steak. Tim horton’s has a good amount of selection of pastries as well as other breakfast sandwiches. Their prices are a little higher than what Im used to seeing at other tim hortons(even with the conversion rate). I will probably come back if we come to the base again.

This place is great for coffee, doughnuts and baked goods. However, the rest of the menu falls short, definitely not impressed about their lunch menu. Not to mention the lunch menu is pricey for what it is. Best bet, go for coffee and their baked goods.

It’s a love-hate relationship with Tim Hortons on the Navy base. Their coffee is pretty good, breakfast sandwiches are pretty good and their bagels and donuts are pretty good. The love is for being the closest place for a lot of military with pretty good treats. The hate is for the price.($ 5 for a medium coffee and bacon & egg muffin). It’s also for the drive-thru, which may be clogged by some dude ordering for his whole shop, or the staff may just hand you the complete wrong order. The staff is always friendly though and the lobby is always clean and tidy.

The Olde’ KenTacoHut! I remember way back in the day; 2004 when I first Joined the Navy and was living in the barracks across the street from this place. We used to call it the«KenTacoHut» as it was a(Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut) all wrapped into one location. Awesome name huh? And yet sooo many more food options than the current Tim Horton’s. I have recently visited this place for breakfast twice, of which the food was nasty. The breakfast combos are priced higher than McDonalds and crappier tasting too. The hash brown that came with the combo was also flavorless and dried out. The donuts are just«OK» at least the Tim-bits are. The coffee wasn’t anything to brag home about either, just do yourself a favor and go to McDonalds’ as they actually know how to make a decent cup of Jo in the morning. I don’t know how they could go from a KenTacoHut to this current place. I think it was due to the Navy trying to get away from serving fried fatty foods on base and offer something more health conscious choices but in the end this turd of a place moved in. **Overall there isn’t anything good about this place whatsoever I’d rather drive a little further and get a better morning meal elsewhere.

Processed Nacho cheese oozes from every part of this food. Its almost impressive how much runny artificial cheese they have managed to cram into this sandwhich. This place is a must if you like to have diarrhea.

Not a big fan of this type of food. It is too pricy for food I could make at home and it would definitely taste a whole lot better.

Get an ice capp, you won’t be dissapointed. Also they serve breakfast sandwhiches until 5 now, so if you want breakfast for lunch its a great option.

It’s OK if you’re really in rush and there’s no where else close by to go. It’s on base and there aren’t too many options when you’re in a hurry. I ordered a salad which was ~$ 7 and it was definitely not very high quality. Thier salad dressing selections are limited… ranch and other high-fat options that seem to ruin the point of ordering a salad. It was fast, seemed to be clean, and the service was fine. I’ll go there for coffee but probably won’t order lunch there again.

This place is terrible. I think the management must be terrible because the workers run amuck. Most of them look VERY young and they don’t seem to like their job(not that I can blame them but still, everyone starts somewhere…) It is located just inside Gate 4 of the Norfolk Naval Base(the air side) with a Cold Stone Creamery attached. They have cheese steaks, steak sandwiches, steak fries, steak salads, etc. A lot of steaks. The prices are fairly high for fast food(a to go salad is about $ 8 and the sandwiches are around the same). The last time I visited this establishment will be the last time I EVER visit it. I came with some work friends who work on the pier side of base where the ships are located. I ordered a steak salad because it looked very good from the description on the menu. I saw a teenager walking around with a white bowl full of lettuce — he walked past the kitchen area(it is all open so you can see what they’re doing while prepping your food) and walked through a white door to the right into a storage area and was gone for around 2 – 3 minutes WITH the white bowl of lettuce. I couldn’t see what was happening back there, it’s walled in. I wondered if that was MY lettuce but assumed it wasn’t because that is very nasty and unsanitary. Why would he take that with him into that back room? After the 2 – 3 minutes he returned, still carrying the bowl, and proceeded to make my salad. Yes, the white bowl was my to-go salad bowl and the lettuce was the base of my salad. I was already unnerved by this and when I got the salad it had no cheese, no tomatoes, no croutons, basically it was steak and lettuce. It had nothing that was listed on the menu. I complained and they added those items. I took the salad to sit at a booth and tried to make the best of it. I took one bite but I just couldn’t stop thinking about what he was doing in that back room with the salad bowl if anything. I felt sick to my stomach. You hear about people doing terrible things to people’s food. I couldn’t eat it. I went up and asked for another because he had walked in the back with the lettuce and I wasn’t eating it. They made another there for me to see but the whole thing was ruined and I basically didn’t eat any of the salad, I should’ve just requested my money back but I was hungry… Totally unacceptable.

The price is a bit steep for fast food. The sandwich was slapped together all sloppy and the bread was so soggy from grease that it was falling apart in my hands. Even when the sandwich was handed over to me there was a greasy mess all over the outside of the bag. I don’t think this is how a chicken panini is intended to be. I only ate half because it made me grossed out. The chicken noodle soup didn’t seem to be fresh. The noodles were mush. Everyone who was working at the time I was there were all talking and playing around. I waited around for someone to take my order then after it was ready it just say there for a whole while they had to «find a plate» to place my order on. Find a plate? When it was time to leave I just sat may trash on top of the trash can because all thee trash cans had no trash bags.

My quick opinion is that it is overpriced and under delivered food. The coffee is nothing spectacular and the sandwiches are way over priced. It used to be a McDonalds there years ago. I would rather that they had a cheaper, lower scale place instead of the cold stone creamery. I actually wished that they would put in a Dunkin Donuts or even a McDonalds right there. Not like the food would be any healthier for you. The interior is fine, but it is already starting to get worn out. I remember dealing with lots of flies when I was there.
