Papa John’s Pizza

My boyfriend and I always get the late night munchies on the weekends. We just moved from Richmond and have been looking for a good late night pizza delivery option. We always ordered from Channellos in Richmond and went for them several times since our move to Norfolk. After long delivery waits, «ok» pizza, and not even getting our pizza one night… I decided to switch it up. So glad we did! Papa johns pizza was delicious. Delivery was insanely quick for a late night on Saturday. It was here in 20 mins! I waited for 2 hours with Channellos in Norfolk. Also, we tried the apple pizza pie and that was pretty good too. Overall a great late night option for pizza!

As far as Papa Johns go… no complaints with this one. fast delivery. our order is ALWAYS right… what more can you ask for from a chain pizza place… GO PEYTON…

This was my first visit to this location of the chain. (forgot to write the review yesterday)
The pizza was exactly what I ordered via the web but the cinnamon dessert was burnt on top. I would have taken it back but I was picking this up on my way home from ODU (I live in VB) so it was not worth the trouble of going back. I am sure this was a fluke and it would not prevent me from ordering from this location again.

I’m giving this Papa John’s 4 stars – not because they are an amazing restaurant or the pizza was amazing by any stretch of the word, but rather on a curve with other low-​end pizza chains.
I’ve ordered pizza from this location three times, and every time they were very helpful, prompt, and clear on the phone when I ordered. Each time I ordered, they were very upfront with all the specials and even offered suggestions on how I could save more money! When I picked up my orders, they have always been right on time and if the pizza was any hotter, it probably would have burned a whole through the box and melted my hands. I think the worst thing a pizza chain can do is have luke-​warm pizza, but they definitely haven’t!
As a sidenote– this location offered a special price for our school meetings, which I think is pretty awesome and community-​oriented of them.
Overall, you get exactly what you expect from a Papa Johns pizza at this location, but obviously don’t expect anything that will blow your mind. I still think this pizza is better than domino’s or pizza hut, so for the cheapest pizza I can get without it tasting like cardboard or soaked in grease, this is my pick!

I love Papa John’s pizza probably more for the delicious garlic dipping sauce, but ya know, who’s counting? This location is pretty close to my apartment so they always get a call in order out to me pretty quickly. They deliver in all kinds of weather which is nice, whether it’s snowing or raining, they’ll still come to your door with a delicious pie in hand.
I’ve always experienced good customer service at this location as well. If anything has ever been wrong in an order they immediately fix it or compensate for it in some way. There are a lot of good, local pizza places in the Ghent area but if you want to go chain, then I recommend this Papa John’s.
