I was super surprised by the quality of the food at this café when I first came. I actually wandered into it with my husband by accident because we were in Nordstrom and he needed to use the bathroom on the third floor and I peeped in to check it out. I love that they have everything on display plates in a case so you can actually see what you’re getting. Really cool and helpful. I got the Chicken club and it was REALLY good. I might have been just really hungry but I’m pretty critical towards club sandwiches because I’ve had plenty in my life and they don’t always live up to my expectations. I also got their sweet ginger peach iced tea which might honestly be the best iced tea I’ve had. It is so good. Just the right amount of flavor and sweetness. The staff there are all friendly and although we didn’t get a window seat, there is apparently a great view of Norfolk from up there. I’ll have to try sitting near a window next time I come in! I think the price point is pretty reasonable. About 7 – 8 dollars for a sandwich. They also have desserts like crème brûlée(Mmm!) for only 5.25! And it’s the big ones. Totally would’ve gotten one if I hadn’t started a diet recently! I would definitely recommend checking out this tucked away little café on the third floor of Nordstrom– it’s worth a visit!

I loved everything about it!!! Food, staff and cleanliness. Their red velvet cupcake had no flavor but I think they make them healthy. So I didn’t hold that against them

This particular Nordstrom Café is pretty hidden but has a lovely view, overlooking St. Paul’s Church. This was my first time here, I honestly wouldn’t have known this Café was here if it wasn’t for my sister. As I walked in, I was greeted hello and how can we help you(I was looking pretty puzzled bc didn’t know where to start lol). Very Friendly and Attentive Staff for sure. Tried out their desserts since my sister and I had the sweet tooth. We both chose different ones so we can try each other’s desserts out, she chose the red velvet cupcake topped with cream cheese frosting and I chose the coconut macaroon drizzled with some chocolate. I definitely preferred my sisters over mine haha, the red velvet cupcakes was so moist and delicious. The cream cheese frosting wasn’t too sweet either. Don’t get me wrong the Macaroon I chose was okay but I wasn’t to fond of how rich it was and I love sweets. I would definitely come back for the red velvet cupcake and maybe try out there entrées!

The chef greeted me as I looked over the available entrees. Yummy — and the food looked good too! I had a great salad filled with fruit, mixed salad greens, and flavorful vinaigrette dressing. Wow! I also enjoyed a turkey club sandwich it was amazing. The bread was sweet, bacon cooked to perfection, fresh lettuce and tomatoes; and delicious cheese all grilled to a tasty treat. I love sitting in the booth people watching. Luxe décor, super comfy seating. The drink area us full of delicious beverages including my ginger infused tea. The service is hard to describe but I lived being treated like the only customer in the room while the restaurant was packed. Visit and enjoy the food, service and surroundings.

This place is a little piece of heaven located inside Nordstrom’s in MacArthur Mall. It’s a great place to go for lunch. Their food is so good and the desserts are just as amazing. I highly recommend this place!

I recently just discovered this small café hidden upstairs in Nordstrom, and have been back a couple of times since then. It’s a nice option when you don’t want to deal with the craziness of the food court but aren’t quite ready to leave the mall just yet. Try their tomato basil soup, it’s great and luckily a staple! I’ve also tried their sandwiches, which are also pretty good but very high in calories. The staff has always been great and very attentive. The waitresses that come around are nice as can be and eager to help out.

Deeeeelicious! I ordered the blackened salmon with the Tuscan roasted vegetables. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say(shocker!). Service was good. The environment was clean. On top of that, they just started offering a generous military discount(15%-20% I can’t remember the exact amount). I’m so happy that my aunt introduced me to this little gem.

Fabulous hidden gem in Nordstroms. Pasta Rosa and Tuscan salmon are amazing! You are greeted warmly by terrific servers. Perfect stop for those who prefer a break from the typical food court offerings.

Very impressed! Good selection is great but what’s better is the execution. We got the Tuscan Roasted Salmon, a warm corn muffin, and She Crab Soup and every element of these dishes were made perfectly. The place was cozy but clean and inviting! Very friendly service! I will definitely be back and recommending this to others. The only thing I could find as a downfall would be that the bathrooms need to be updated. A sad but obvious fail. Common Nordstrom, get on that already.

This is one of the best kept secrets of MacArthur mall. It is located on the third floor of Nordstrom, straight and to the left of when you get off the escalator. The coffee is always fresh, all of the pizzas are freshly baked with top of the line DELICIOUS ingredients, the soup of the day is good but most of all, THECHOCOLATEDIPPEDMACAROONSWILLSLAYYOURLIFE. That is the only reason I keep coming back. They are sticky snowballs of condensed milk, coconut and chocolate are sent from heaven with one mission: be delicious.

This is a nice little place to grab lunch. I didn’t know that Nordstrom even had a café(because I never actually shop in Nordstrom) until a couple years ago when a friend had suggested it and took me here. The food is a little pricey; however this café prides itself on using fresh and organic ingredients, so the extra cost is worth it. I recently came here for lunch with my family prior to a New Year’s Eve shopping trip, and I was not disappointed. I got the turkey pesto chibatta with chips and it was delicious; The pesto aïoli was everything. To drink I got the organic ginger peach tea and I absolutely loved it, you can’t find tea that quality anywhere else. The desserts here are also pretty good, I got a red velevet cupcake, and usually there pretty good, but this last time I went it was a little on the dry side, but I chaulk that up to us getting there a few hours after the café was open, because the last time I got one to eat they just sat them out. Another thing to note is the service, every time I come here the waiters are both friendly and helpful. Overall I recommend coming here to get a quick and tasty lunch while shopping.

Nordstrom Café was my go-to about 10 years ago. Quiet and reclusive, with rich offerings for lunch; I never had dinner. The turkey soup was my everything. Fast forward to now… I think they must’ve gotten a few write-ups in a magazine because the«café» was booming on a Tuesday night, like none other. I actually had to wait to get a table cleaned. It’s more cafeteria than I remembered. I don’t really dig that. The staff is patient and friendly. If you’ve selected an entrée, it might take a minute or 14 to come out. I ordered the bolognese. It was exremely underwhelmingly unsatisfying and actually lukewarm. The soups are still amazing. As are the largely portioned desserts and pastries. Wine is expensive but decent offerings. And I will always adore the ginger peach iced tea. Don’t leave without a refill.

I LOVETHISPLACE. Tucked far away from the hustle and bustle of shopping bliss is Nordstrom’s Café. I was first introduced to this restaurant in 2010 when I had training for a week at Nordstrom and my gracious employer foot the bill for a morning snack and lunch everyday. I go to Nords all the time, but somehow always seem to forget about this little café. I happened to be upstairs shopping last week and heard two customers mention it and that jogged my memory and my legs as I rushed over to place an order. There was a line which wasn’t surprising. Their tomato basil SOUP with cheesy bread is the . Still as good as it was years ago when I first had it and I can actually taste it in my mouth right now as I type this! I also got the fresh brick oven pizza which was utterly delicious. I also got a fruit bowl and the fruit was so good(sort of reminds me of the fruit cup at Chick-Fil-A, which is yummy) my fruit was ripe and juicy(like me) I got the peach tea it’s like they put crack in it. Ridiculously good. SWEEETTTTTTT, so if you don’t like sweet beverages, stay away from it. Overall this is a GREAT choice if you are in the mall and don’t want Max and Erma’s or California Pizza Kitchen and still want to sit down and enjoy your food and not feel rushed. It’s nice and cozy too!

Yep — this is a winner. My girlfriend and I were having a gal’s day and we are both food snobs. We both eat really healthy fresh foods, tons of salad and quinoa and greens and veggies. So when we decided to shop at MacArthur I figured our only option was California Pizza kitchen. When I mentioned Nordstrom she said we could go to Nordstrom café. For some reason i thought this was only bagels and coffee so while I had seen some signs for it I had never even paid any attention at all to the inside. Well — wasn’t I in for a surprise when we walked in and about 40 people were eating and I find a bustling restaurant with tons of fresh options like brick oven pizzas, pastas, panini sandwiches, gourmet salads(like 5), specials of the day, salmon plates, wine, fountain drinks, and a fresh bakery area with large cookies and fresh cupcakes. Workers in the kitchen were making food to order(so it is fresh) and it was bustling with activity and fresh-made pizzas and sandwiches. Win. What the heck!!! I ordered some tomato basil soup which came with a yummy cheese crostata bread for dipping. My friend ordered the tomato pesto jam appetizer and I tasted it — O.M.G. it was as good as she said it was. I’ll be dreaming about that until I can go back and get some more. We both ordered salads with fresh cheese, asparagus, tomatoes and other assorted goodies like quinoa and such. Health nut dream. But fear not — those of you with bad health choices will be pleased by the pizzas and pastas and large loaded bread sandwiches that looked REALLY yummy and I’d tear one up on a cheat day for sure. They had some hummus that looked yummy and the tomato basil pizza was calling to me. It wasn’t super crowded but there was a healthy amount of people — once you order they will bring your food to your table and you have a server who will offer to bring you refills or get more napkins for a few bucks. You walk up to the line and order the food yourself. It only took a few short minutes to get our salads and appetizers. I don’t visit MacArthur as much anymore as I did in years past but this hidden gem is where I’ll be eating from now on. YUM.

So hit or miss. Over the past year ive seen a steady decline in not only the quality of food, but also the service. My fruit cup is more often than not full of mushy overripe fruit, my sandwiches are not crispy, and food is not as advertised. I loved the creamy turkey Rosemary soup I had last winter. Yesterday I was told that was the special of the day, but when I opened my cup it was all yellow broth with carrot cubes and a bit of shredded chicken. I thought they were mistaken and it was chicken noodle… but there wasn’t even a noodle in sight. I used to love the gourmet quality. But with all the slip-ups recently(old fruit, burnt crust, cold and rude service — mostly a short dark haired young girl with a constant scowl on her face) I will not be going back. Such a shame. Nordstrom needs to look at the experience their customers are having.

Tucked away on the third floor of Nordstrom, this place offers really GREAT food! I love how fresh my food tastes and the quality is always on point. I go on Sundays to get the she crab soup. The pasta rossa is delicious with a creamy tomato based sauce and bacon get the ginger peach tea! Yum

This is a hidden gem within MacArthur Mall. Great food and great service. The food is prepared fresh when you pick out what you would like. Their salads are amazing. I highly recommend the Strawberry Grilled Chicken salad with goat cheese and glazed pecans.

I have been to Nordstrom Café many times, and this time as usual did not dissapoint. I decided to try something a little different by purchasing the Bruchetta Pizza along with a Carmel Cheesecake and Ginger peach tea. Ginger Peach Tea: if you have been to Nordstrom Café and not had this amazing beverage you are depriving yourself of a great experience. This tea is full of bold flavor, hot or cold it is simply a treat not to be ignored ! Pizza: My pizza was a nice treat for a Sunday lunch. Half cut cherry tomatoes, pesto, fresh grated parmasean, and great leafy Veggies with balsamic reduction. The pizza was cooked perfectly, and I took please in seeing the chef roll and flatten my pizza. The cheese was gooey and packed with seasoning. The only grip I could find(and this is just me) is the veggies and toppings rolled and fell off the pizza often since they were not cooked in the pizza but added as a topping after. Overall the pizza was amazing and nothing could deter me from enjoying every bite! Cheesecake: Gooey and rich is the best way to describe this awesome dessert. Although I would say it was way to sweet. The layers were evenly set along with the vanilla bean filling and carmel. This is a great dessert but I would definatley suggest sharing a slice with water because this is certainly a sweet dish

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Last time I went, I had the grilled shrimp over arugula and roasted corn and polenta salad. It was amazing. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked to bring out the grilled flavoring. Service was outstanding. Café was clean. The cookies were also fantastic. I plan on going back to try the other desserts such as the carrot cake and bread pudding. The portion sizes and prices aren’t too bad for gourmet quality food. Each time I’m in MacArthur, I always stop to eat here. I highly recommend the café to others.

The food and service is fantastic! I had the specialty pizza(mushroom and pepperoni) and my boyfriend had the Nicoise Salmon Salad! Both were delicious. We also ordered the tomato soup… Order a bowl because a cup is not enough!
