I could not bring myself to give this park a 1. But darn it was close. The playground can easily be viewed from the bridge on Shore Dr. In order to access it you will need to currently drive one block around due to construction on the Pretty Rd. The park is located to the side of the Ocean View Community Center. There is plenty of parking in a paved lot. However, there is a lot of debris around. Also there area is borderline unsafe in my opinion, but during the day probably fine. I saw no exterior lighting, but imagine the parks closes at dusk. The central play set is an awesome elevated structure with slides and climbing area. It’s also larger than a traditional play set. I saw no graffiti which was great. One of the pieces of equipment was closed off and had orange fencing around it. There is also a swing set, but someone swung all the swing around so they could not be reached. There was also debris in this area in the form of a beer bottle. Landscaping was pretty non existent, however pines surround it and provide natural shade. However, there was some amount of debris throughout the park. At least one trash can was present and not full. There is also a small shelter with a picnic table and bbq pit. No restrooms are located on the property. With the location of the OV Community Center this could be an area that restrooms are accessed. One of the nicer aspects of the park is it’s location off the water, it really is a pretty view. There is also fishing deck named the Bill Harbert Recreational Fishing and Educational Pier. Children would need to be watched closely with the proximity to the water. This is not a park that I could recommend.
