This place great food lil better then the NEX rather eat here. The lunch menu is ok cheap and pretty fast with food if your trying to get a quick lunch in. Soups are always really good loaded potato soup my fav.

Terrible service, it takes the waitress forever to come to us. And the food was just average.

The cooks always seem on point, but the staff isn’t. I’ve waited at the door for awhile before getting a seat, I’ve waited at the table for awhile before a server shows up. Overall this Chili’s has great food, but it takes forever to get there, and cross your fingers that the order is right.

Mind is blown I just had one of the best sirloin steaks of my life in a Chilis. If your in the Norfolk area I highly recommend eating here!

Really disappointed. They got our oldest son’s order wrong. They never brought out my husband & my orders. People who got here 30 minutes after us got their food but we didn’t. Evidently, our waitress was still in training. She avoided us after our appetizers were delivered until we were walking out the door. Absolutely horrible service. The women’s bathroom was disgusting. This was an easy place to meet my husband for lunch with the kids every once in a while. Never again. It wasn’t great to begin with so it’s not worth a second chance. The manager did comp our appetizer & kid meals.

This location is right next to the NEX/Commissary at the Norfolk Naval Base. Came here today with a couple of colleagues after we attended a business meeting on the base. We had an awesome server. He was friendly and accommodating. I ordered a strawberry lemonade(no watermelon lemonade… Boooo!) and the lunch combo with the chicken avocado sandwich on a pretzel bun. I thought the sandwich was pretty good… Until a couple of hours later when my stomach started hurting. I don’t know what got me… The soup(loaded baked potato) or the sandwich. Either way, it’ll be a loooooong time before I eat at any Chilis again.

I started to give this Chili’s a 4 star rating but then, I wondered why. Everything was perfect. Well, maybe my steak was under cooked at first but after I returned it the steak was perfect. Also, I didn’t have to wait long. They took care of it right to begin with. There were three of us and we all raved about our meals. The food was excellent. However, there was more excellent than just the food. Our server was Alvinia and she was excellent too. In addition another server also helped out. It was a great meal and we were tended to with perfection. This Chili’s definitely deserves 5 stars for our dinner that night.

Lunchtime service was good. Disappointed with the updated menu tho. They discontinued potatoe skins. That’s right potatoe skins are no more at this Chili’s.

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered a black bean burger, wings, and buffalo salad for carryout. I there to pickup my order only to find out there are no more black bean burgers yet they are advertising it on the vegetarian menu. My girlfriend already hates eating out bc restaurants rarely carry true vegetarian options. It was a huge let down. Got my food home my wings were rubbery and my salad welted. I was over it. Never eating here again. Run away.

Me and my husband went there a few days ago for our anniversary dinner. The service was really nice and patient with me, as I didn’t know what I wanted at first. The Texas cheese fries were very nice. I really liked the the flat bread entrée I got, along with the Southwest soup. My husband really enjoyed his meal as well. Everything came out in a quick manner. I recommend this as opposed to the food court in the NEX if you’re looking to sit down, eat, and converse with family/friends.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food doesn’t feel like it’s freshly made. The wait for a table is just crazy, your better off going straight to the bar. I do admit that you can’t beat the drink specials. The menu is just as good as any other, so you won’t be surprised. Is a perfect place to meet up with friends and watch a game, just make sure you get there early.

Great service! Food was inexpensive, they have great happy hour specials and a big menu. Food was cooked they way I ordered. Prompt timing. No complaints… will be coming back again. Very convenient being next to base!

I came here for an early lunch and was greeted, and seated promptly. You will always expect to see military here because it’s in a vicinity of a military base and its a popular place for lunch. It gets really busy, but I would suggest to ask to be seated away from groups of military personnel. I am military myself, and I know when there are a bunch of us together, we get pretty loud. That is the only thing I did not like during my lunch today, but everything else was great. Great food, great price, and great waitress.

Just to get this out of the way the hostess was extremely rude. She mumbled and rolled her eyes at us when we told her we would like a booth instead of sitting at the bar. She was very bored and sloth like?(Took her time to do everything!) I had the grilled chicken bacon avocado sandwich. I asked for no tomatoes, came out with them. The waitress was very polite Avalia? She took it back and then when it came back out they forgot the avacado. I was not impressed with the kitchen. Our server brought out avacado separately. My fries were over cooked and tasted like they had been sitting. Not my favorite Chilis. I only gave 4 stars because she was very polite and had a ton of tables.

I’m giving a two star rating only because the food was half way decent. Our waitress was rude and had a bad attitude. She tried to charge us for extra items that weren’t ordered. When I questioned her about the issue she had an attitude. I guess it’s a good thing I went in with low expectations because of the current 2.5 star rating.

Keep in mind that this Chili’s is just off the Norfolk Naval Base in the area where the Exchange is, but in an area that the general public can access. The restaurant is located across the street from the base movie theater. I have been to this location four to five times, but it has been a long while. It has been a decent Chili’s, but nothing special. The place gets totally mobbed on weekends with large military groups. So if you can’t find a parking place my recommendation is to turn around and go somewhere else. On a Friday night when arriving around 8PM parking was available, but you could tell they had a decent crowd. My son had been looking forward to a big meal after some huge workouts in the pool this week. We were greeted at the door quickly and seated promptly. My son was happy with the view of the bar TV with a basketball game on. It took several minutes for our waitress to arrive. She was friendly and got our drink order, plus appetizer of chips and salsa in so no complaints of the short delay. Within a reasonable amount of time we had drinks and appetizer on the table. We did not waste anytime getting in our entrees ordered. Two Bacon Cheese Burgers and fries. While enjoying the chips my water reached the danger point of almost empty and was filled just before it emptied by our waitress. The chips and salsa was tasty and hit the spot while we waited for burgers. The entrée came out within 20 minutes, not bad. My burger was hot and prepared correctly. However, the fries were hot, but soggy as if they were reheated. My son’s fries seemed somewhat better, but pretty much the same. His burger was also hot and cooked correctly. When the waitress checked on us I advised her of soggy fries and she put in another order immediately. I also asked for extra napkins which should be just done in advance in my opinion. She brought one single napkin, not one for my son… okay strange in my opinion. I am all about trying to save the planet, but come on is one more napkin really making a difference. The manager came to the table around 7 – 8 minutes later with a basket of hot, correctly seasoned fries that were delicious. He apologized for the issue with the fries. At that point my son was done and ready to move onto desert. So he took the order of a skillet cookie with ice-cream and let our server know. The desert came out in about 5 minutes very HOT!!! Don’t touch the skillet on this desert or it will hurt I am sure. The cookie was hot, moist and gooey. The ice-cream was good quality and solid when served and melting my the second. This is the first time I had this desert. I usually skip something sweet after a large meal, but this was mainly for my son. The bill came half way through desert which was timed correctly so we can move along. My water this time went past the danger zone to empty. The waitress asked if I wanted a refill which is annoying because you should not ask and just refill. Especially since we were still eating I just don’t get it. The amount was correct and I had thought the manager would possibly put the desert on the house with the issue, but no such luck. Overall not a bad visit. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The service was okay, but could be improved in areas that I mentioned. I appreciate the manger being proactive and also saw the manger deliver a meal close to us. I would come back again, however there are better locations in Hampton Roads. If I do return I hope some service issues and kitchen quality control items are improved.

As my first experience going to this Chili’s(actually to any Chili’s), this review might be a bit biased. It was a good experience(we went in at night, so it was likely going to be a bit busier), but we got seated in a nice corner booth, away from all the foot traffic. We had a very neat(and cute) server named Robert, and he knew the listings of food off the menu very well. Great attitude, and a very nice demeanor, and was very attentive to us throughout the meal. We ended up ordering a salmon/chicken combination platter with some potatoes and other sides. Aside from what the other reviewers on here have been saying about the smell, maybe I don’t have a nose, or maybe I just didn’t notice it/mind it. Or food arrived very quickly, and it was so much to eat, but I think we did fairly well. The restaurant was clean, and the table we sat at was clean. There did seem to be some grunge-y material in the track linings of the table, but it’s difficult to keep a busy place like that clean all the time(it’s next to the NOB, so I assume it stays busy). All in all, for what we ordered, the speed and cleanliness of the place, and the friendliness of the employees and manager, we’d definitely come back. It’s a bit out of our way, but this would definitely be one of the reasons to go to the NOB. I think all of the people who gave this location negative reviews have just been dealt a bad experience, but I don’t feel that makes it a bad place. Maybe we just got lucky. Who knows.

Eh. Smells like a dirty gym locker and it is your typical Chili’s. Food was decent at best but it is pretty grungy in here. This was my second time coming here. Update: I have been here a few more times due to having a gift card. The good is pretty average but what do you expect.

This place gets really really busy during lunch because it is at the navy exchange and right beside the Norfolk navy base. The parking lot fills up too and sometimes you have to park in bfe. All that aside I’ve been here during VERY crowded lunches with larger groups for military retirements and going away lunches and they manage to do a pretty good job of taking care of everyone and getting the food out quickly. Prices are standard for Chili’s reasonable for this type of in and out sit down restaurant and the location is great right beside the base if you work in that area. Not my favorite — but not bad if you are hungry near the NEX.
