Even if you have nothing to eat don’t eat here. Feeling sick. Food tastes old. They tried to sell me butter chicken but when I asked for Chkn jalfrezi it was butter chicken with peppers added to it. Gross.

Yes, it hit the spot! Highly recommend the chicken curry plate. Highlights: Chicken curry was delicious and cooked to perfection, Location was easy to find with decent parking, Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Can improve: Provide at least 2 rotis and more chicken. The current portion size is reasonable but after taking out the bones, not much chicken is left. Have the option to double the meat for some extra $$. Benchmark: They set the standard along with Delhi Spice and Everest Lounge. Dined in July 2015 and will definitely return. I have only tried the chicken curry plate and will most likely not venture to try anything else.

Best Paratha bread I’ve ever had. Butter paneer and Chicken Kadhi are excellent choices. The chicken 65 is great too. This is worth the drive for us. I’m pleased to have heard of this place!

Good Value for Money place in Global Mall. The food has flavor, the portions are generous, the price is right and food seems fresh as it takes reasonable time for it to come out of the Kitchen. On the downside, it is in a food-court of Global Mall which has limited seating. The Parantha that is served obviously comes from a frozen packet! Chicken 65 is good and so is the Non-Veg Thali, Veg Bombay Sandwich not so great — too much cheese! Hope they stick around and dish out some good food and stay consistent!

Best indian cuisine in town! Chicken and mutton biryani is delicious and on top it comes with a spicy curry which hit my taste buds really good. Chicken 65 is awesome here. Also ordered a cake for afamily function which was amazingly decorated and my family loved its taste. Over all i would say its the best indian restaurant i have been in atlanta, and now i go there every week with my family!

They have really great briyani’s and tandoori chicken. The food is authentic indian style food. The service was quick and the people are really friendly.

Not friendly. Drove from Marietta for sugarcane juice. Saw a picture of the sugarcane juice on a large menu board on the wall and went to order. Was told they don’t have it cuz the machine is broken. Asked when they expect to get the machine repaired so we may come back another time. They started making excuses, oh we don’t know, we can’t find parts, blah blah. If they no longer have the capability to serve an advertised menu item they should not have it on display on the wall. Save the trouble and just make the trek to Patel Brothers in Decatur.

Dawat Express — thus far — is my favorite concession at the Global Mall food court. I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food, I’ve had cravings for it ever since our Saturday visit. I was initially drawn to ‘Dawat’ because I saw an entrée listing for Indian Fried Chicken — how amazing does that sound? Jackpot! Or so I thought, turns out they were out, but the lady manning the counter recommended the tandoori chicken, so that’s what we went with. We also ordred the daal(? — I can’t quite recall the name) fish entrée, and two«fresh» juices — the pineapple and the orange — their menu has a large selection of various other fruit flavors. The chicken was great, tender and flavorful — the ends were a bit burned but it didn’t bother me; the dish also came with sliced limes which complimented it very well. The fish entrée was too spicy for my tolerance but the bits that I had were perfectly cooked. The juices were wonderful, probably my favorite aspect of the meal though I do wish they had been just a tad colder. It took about 7 minutes for the juices to be ready and then another 4 – 5 for both entrees to come out — which also came with one side of rice and some variation of hot pepper soup. Dawat seems to have a very large menu with traditional dishes and a great selection of «safer» dishes for the unadventurous diner — it’s a great choice for a quick, cheap, and of course, tasty meal!

OMG good stuff, real bargain for the thalis. This is like the closest to home cooked food by an excellent cook! The veg. thalis are to die for! They can tweak spice levels accordingly. Next time I might have them taper it down a little.

Posted at Global Mall website about Dawat Express Indian-American Fusion ~ Serves Puff Pastries, Burgers, Pizzas, Rolls, Wraps, Zappies, Sandwiches, Panini, Fried Chicken & Drinks I love Indian food. Everyone who knows me know that. I actually love almost everything Indian since I probably was Desi in previous birth. I was craving Indian food and since I was at Global Mall, I thought I’ll stop by the food court. As many times as I’ve been here in the past decade, I never once thought about eating at the food court, mainly cause I’ve been spoiled at buffets and I want a variety of foods at the same time. For those who do not know anything about Global Mall. I call it Desi heaven because it’s a one stop for anything Desi, well mostly. The food court is Desi galore. Since I went to Plaster Zone and was hungry afterwards, thought I would try. Even though I had order some dishes at Sri Krishna Vilas, I went to Dawat Express because of the Chicken 65, it is my faaaave Desi dish. I also ordered the spicy veggie panini since my daughter wanted to go meatless that day. Chicken 65 is really good but not my fave. The veggie panini was soooooo good, the outside was crispy while the cheese melted in my mouth with the different variety of veggies. Next time, I want to try the desserts!
