The Blizzards and ice cream is always awesome at DQ but this experience was even better as we got to speak with Aashi the owner who waited on us personally. Stop by and enjoy some great desserts and terrific customer service

Yet another bad experience. Not sure how they stay in business. Went 4⁄21 into the drive-thru … silence. Then you get a loud ghetto-sounding ‘Hello?‘ I then go ahead with my order. Then I pause looking at the menu. «What else?’ as if they were impatient that I was ordering. I asked, «Yes, let me get a large Oreo blizzard.’ «What else?» as if this is how you’re supposed to take an order of someone in the drive-thru window. I said ‘No’ and just drove around. I get to the window and instead of getting a ‘Hello’, you get a Pakistani dude looking down at your money. I proceed to give him the money and instead of him taking it, he closes the window and starts taking the person’s order in the line behind me. At this point, I bring my money back inside the car. He comes back to the window. I ask if Tom Cunning, the general manager, is there; I know his name because I had an issue with this Dairy Queen before. He looks me in the eye now and stutters, ‘No’. I tell him to cancel my order and then drive off. I call the main number to see if Tom is really not there. I get the same ghetto-sounding nonsense from the drive-up window, so I just hang up. Tom really needs to start from the ground up and just let these people go. Not any of my concern since it’ll be another year before I go there again — if then. I just go to the one off Buford Hwy, right around the corner, whenever I usually need a blizzard fix.

As hard as it might be to believe I’m a grown adult and I’ve never been to DQ, so since i’m in the area & a bit hungry I figured i’d give them a try. Traditionally it’s just a fast food joint but with the décor a little nicer. I hear and read on Unilocal that the ice cream is good but since this is closer to lunch time decide to try a burger and some onion rings. When I get my burger it looks nothing like the pretty picture on the wall [do they ever?] but probably tasted about as good as that cardboard picture. I guess I should give them another try for there ice cream but next time i’m passing on the food.

I’m a fan because I LOVELOVELOVEDQ soft serve!!! This is the closest DQ to me, so by default, they get a good rating. I do have to split this review into 2… The food: I was still hungry when I got there, so decided to have an after-dinner snack. Looking through their menu, I didn’t want anything that was fried, and certainly not a burger(just had one). So I opted for the foot-long chili cheese dog. This is where things start to go wrong. The cashier was nice enough to bring the food to the table, and I immediately noticed the cheese was glowing in a nice radioactive Orange… completely unnatural. But what can I expect from a DQ dog? I cut the thing in half(picking it up whole would have guaranteed stuff on my shirt and all over my face), and picked one up to eat. THEDOGWASCOLD!!! Not only was it cold, it also tasted like a regular hot dog, not an all-beef dog. The chili helped to warm it up some, but I like my hot foods HOT! I forced myself to finish the whole thing, since I already wasted money on it. I was still hungry afterwards, so it didn’t completely satisfy me. The Soft Serve: Come on… it’s DQ! If you don’t know how good this stuff is already, you ought to climb out from under your rock and experience it for yourself! This shifted the evening snack from Awful to Terrific! Got myself the large cone… a treat for finishing the whole hot dog. Of course I’ll come back here, but it won’t be for the footlong chili cheese dog. GIMMESOFTSERVE!!! BTW — The place was pretty clean, and the staff was very polite and friendly. Aside from the king of hotdog letdowns, the place usually dishes up good stuff.

I am rating this place only on the ice cream cone(best soft served ice cream ever) that I get everyday, that’s right I come here every single day for ice cream to support my running habit.(Go ahead and judge me I don’t mind, ice cream make me happy) The food here is not great but the last time that I have DQ food was a couple years ago so maybe one day when I feel adventurous I will try their food. I must say that this is the MACDADDY of all DQ, the establishment is clean and very well lit with patio seating so it’s perfect to bring your kids for a late treat since they closes at 10 on weekdays and 11 on weekends. Enjoy :)

I went here because I had a coupon that expired today. The coupon wasn’t honored because they didn’t offer a «Manager Combo» anymore. To me, 2 stars means it was edible but I wouldn’t go back. Redeeming factors: One very personable server, chicken strips with honey mustard dressing, and the Blizzard. Drawbacks: «Texas toast» was yucky, most staff weren’t very personable, price seemed high, menu didn’t offer much in the way of healthy choices(yeah, I should know better), location isn’t convenient, seems like there are cheaper ways to order essentially the same things that I got. I’d go to Wendy’s, about a mile nearer to my work, which I think would do better than this DQ on a lot of the above factors.
