Was here filling rx for my father post op. Short version is there is –0– customer service. Pharmacist Layla curtly told me it would be 45 minutes to have 3 rx filled. Although there is no one in store. Overheard tech tell a customer over the phone she didn’t know if they had a rx in stock and couldn’t check and to call back next week to check. Same tech had a question about about a call she had placed on hold but was afraid she has disconnected.. pharmacist told her not to worry the customer would just have to call back. It ended up taking about 1 hour 20 minutes to get filled.

This CVS is much smaller than the one I normally visit, but somehow the selection is better. I can find things here that aren’t stocked at other CVS locations(specific types of moisturizing lotion, body wash, etc). I also had my yearly flu shot administered at this location. I was happy with the way I was treated by the pharmacy staff. Lastly, I plan on moving my recurring monthly prescriptions to this CVS. I’ve had minor but aggravating issues with filling prescriptions at a CVS down the road in Dunwoody. I don’t know whether it’s an issue with the pharmacy staff, my medical insurance, or what. But seeing as this CVS is closer to my home, I’m switching. I will report back after a few months with an updated review.

As a fellow Unilocaler on here mentioned: «there is nothing special about this CVS store…» I could add that one important thing to note is: the majority of the products on their shelves are typically a dollar or more higher priced than the same item you would find at(for example…) Target, so plan your shopping accordingly … I have used the CVS website to order refill prescriptions: the site will give me a pick-up time and I will arrive several hours later after that designated time … only to discover there is no pick-up available, with no call, email or notification to let me know about the delay …(apparently these simple, inexpensive prescription eye-drops requires a call to the insurance company, which requires yet another visit to the cvs … blah blah blah ad infinitum…) All Retail Chain Pharmacies are so tied to «Insurance Companies» and«Big Pharma» that there really is no logic or common sense being used when filling prescriptions anymore… kind of sad

Nothing particularly spectacular about this CVS, but it does what it needs to do. It’s part of a strip mall and located next door to the Publix. I may prefer this older style of drug store in a strip mall rather than the corner-lot mega-convenicence-store variety that has been the norm for new drug stores in the last couple decades.
