Steer clear, and save yourself immense grief – the customer svc is an abomination – the post office and dmv are faster at giving you attention and addressing issues than Bova

I wish I had checked ratings but there aren’t many. I found this place as one of a few in the DC Metro area to carry the dining room furniture I wanted. I was told 4 weeks before I get a call to set up delivery(this was in July). 4 weeks go by and nothing. I figured maybe it was the delivery people so give them an extra week or so. Still nothing. So I have to call to find out it’s delayed(what happened to customer service). It finally gets delivered last week(week of the 30th). Not only is a leg broken, which the delivery and install guys use to set up knowing it was broken and trying to hide it, but a chairs is cracked, other chairs have damage and the top of the table has scratches. I call the store with no answer but the delivery guys were able to get a hold of someone quickly. I’m told I need to take pictures and email them to get things started. The delivery guys didn’t mark anything down on the paperwork about the damage(like I would sign without it) and didn’t even have a copy so I had to snap a pic(gotta love smart phones). Get things emailed and call to get no response and left a message. Called again and finally got someone who told me the manufacturer is closed now and it takes a week to hear back on the replacement process. WTF, this is ridiculous. Ok, I was nice about the wait time but now, I have to wait to hear back? I don’t care who you have to contact. I’m dealing with you not them. So now I’m supposed to wait another 3 weeks(probably longer) for replacements. You have got to be joking. What happened to customer service. I’m going to notify BBB.

Surprised I have lived in Atlanta for so long and have never been in there before. Its a large store with a huge selection of furniture. Its definitely a contemporary/modern store but they do have quite a few transitional items thrown in the mix. Bova has LOTS of very interesting accessories and lighting that I had to resist very hard not to buy! Aside from that there were definitely several items that set them apart from the rest of the stores on that strip. The reviewer below stated that it was mostly leather but from what I could see it was half and half. Maybe it has changed. I especially enjoyed some of their lines of sofas/sectionals where you could chose from 100’s of different fabrics. I wasn’t quite sure what to rate the price range since their selection covers such broad price point it’s hard to stick them in one category. I would say anyone who is looking for contemporary furniture no matter what the budget should definitely check out Bova.

Posh home furnishings depict the essentials of Bova. Supplying contemporary sofa, dining, office and bedroom sets, and home décor consisting of art work and lighting, Bova costs top dollar. One of many options for modern furniture enthusiasts, just about everything in Bova is leather, glass or java wood based. Then there is the thousand dollar futons and Amisco customizable bar stool, tables and dining sets takes up roughly a quarter of the store. Although the designs at Bova are pleasant they get sucked into the abyss of other furniture stores on Dawson Boulevard as well as every contemporary themed home retailer in Atlanta. While some of the items are distinctive and the quality is generally first-rate, there is nothing earth shattering about Bova. Fortunately, when Bova has a sale items are available at a steal.
