We love Mama Java! The service is always great! The food and beverages are really good! A great family place!

Cute little coffee shop! The chocolate scone is pretty good– pretty crispy on the outside and soft on the inside(the way I love it!) I had the light drip coffee(black) which was very good. Free refills! I got two cups, I was a happy woman. They do serve breakfast/lunch, however I didn’t try it. The only complaint was that it was slow service(in line). I think that it had something to do with families with small children in line, who were a bit distracted(not complaining! Just stating :))) It can get busy, lots of couples/families come in here– so if you don’t want loud, come during off peak hours. Good place to hang out with friends for a good conversation. I’ll be coming back!

Okay the dish that I had, Mexican omelet of some kind, could have used some more fresh veggies, but the taste was really good. The coffee was spectacular, caramel macchiato. We stopped in on the way to Nashville from our hotel and thanks to my Unilocal app this was a good choice. It doesn’t always do me right but more often than not it’s correct. The staff was also pretty helpful and friendly.

Had the Southern Salad(aka chicken salad on a bed of greens) and a caramel macchiato frappé. There is nothing they could’ve done to improve either. Absolute perfection! The salad doesn’t need dressing but if you want it I recommend the apple vinaigrette.

The croon it are very fun and they come up with cool variations like German Chocolate. They are very sweet– split one four ways and every felt they had enough! The wrap sandwiches are good too. I think their drive thru menu is too crowded and confusing — And the staff always seems impatient while you read. I agree with another reviewer that they would be wise to narrow their menu. But I like the idea of a locally owned coffee shop and want to support it.

My husband and I just moved to Nolensville, and it was our first time to Mama’s Java. All I can say is… Wow! I have never been treated with so much attitude in my life by a cashier and your employees. We asked what the ingredients were in the«funky monkey» and cashier responded«I don’t know». Asked if they had a chocolate croinut. Once again, responded I don’t know. Overheard two employees(one man and one woman) talking about how they«just want to get out of here. Just want to sit down». Either they are overworked or just plain rude to all customers. They continued to seem flustered at everything that was asked. This is hardly scratching the surface at what occurred. Plus, they were almost completely out of everything in the pastry case to begin with. We left with an overpriced chai for my husband which has chunks in it? Really disgusting. And a large coffee for me because we both wanted to get out of there so quickly. So much potential, and absolutely ruined by attitude.

Only place for miles and miles with coffee roasted on site. Truly the hangout place in Nolensville. Great atmosphere. I love their coffee and baked goods.

We had such high hopes for this local neighborhood coffee shop! Too bad it did not live up to them. The décor is great and coffee was good. However, the food was lacking. They have too many choices and it seems nothing done to its best. They should really consider focusing on a couple of really amazing food items and improve the quality. Won’t be back unless food quality drastically improves. It’s too bad because we really need a good breakfast option!

Their coffee is the best and strongest I’ve ever had. I love their food as well. It’s so healthy, & I love their service. The people that work there are so sweet and nice. I usually get a frozen hot chocolate with an espresso shot in it. It’s delicious! I love this place more than Starbucks! While I wait for my food, I like to go to the coffee jar wall and smell all the coffee flavors. Banana cream is my favorite smell. I definitely recommend this place & will keep telling people about it!

Believe it or not, I’m not a big coffee drinker. I AM a big fan of a good breakfast sandwich and bigger fan of a good soup. My first experience with MJ was a last minute decision to grab a quick breakfast before a long day of unpacking our new house. The menu is cleverly organized, so you can get exactly what you want, how you want. You choose your egg, then meat, then cheese, then bread… boom, boom, boom, breakfast is served. I got scrambled with bacon and pepper jack on Texas toast. It tasted great, service was quick, and they were so friendly… like they were happy to be there! My second experience was later that week. It was a dreary Saturday, and the kids and I wanted to just grab a quick lunch, but no one wanted McTacoFilet drive thru. Although slower than before(in all fairness, we got there later in the afternoon, when things were winding down), the food was really awesome! The kids LOVED their ham sandwiches(my youngest is a sandwich snob, and this passed!) I got the BBLT wrap(double bacon) and tomato bisque. The wrap was exactly what I hoped for, the bisque surprised me. I don’t love tomato soup, or even really like it, but it was dreary out, and soup was calling me. I was beyond thrilled with the bisque! It was thick, savory, Parmesan-y(it’s a word now), and still steaming by the time I got it home. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the slightly higher prices than one might like. This is definitely a place to enjoy, share time with a friend, or to give yourself a treat.

I pass Mama Java’s everyday on my way to work… Always running late of course! I’m a coffee addict and for that very reason, I try to avoid buying it every day… Today, my car forced me to turn in to the little shop. I tried really hard to resist it… I ended up getting a famous rollup. This was the first item on their menu and looked pretty simple because you could build your own. all I really wanted was coffee but when I saw their food choices I fell for the food as well! Healthy breakfasts aren’t easy to come by in the rush hour time of day. They have awesome choices!!! I ended up building my rollup and their menu makes it easy to choose with 4 easy steps. I got peanut butter, honey, banana, organic granola. It’s wrapped so neat, clean, and cut perfectly to eat while your driving! The wrap looks like a wheat or whole grain type… It’s fresh, thin, and perfect. I’m almost afraid I need to find a new route to work because my car is going to pull into their lot every day now! Oh yeah, and the coffee… I ordered an iced caramel mocha coffee. It. Is. Amazing. Whoa. I’m not a fan of brand name coffee shops. I personally think McDonalds blows Starbucks away with their coffee. Starbucks has always been gross and expensive. BUT! Mama Java?! Blows everyone away and it’s so worth every dollar! You know why… Because it’s a local small business and they are putting every dollar into making their products perfection vs marketing. Which is why I wanted to post this review. If your local and drive through Nolensville, you need to try it! Everyone needs to know there is a little piece of heaven right outside their door in the form of coffee and famous rollups!!!

I really love everything about Mama Javas. They give back so much to the Nolensville community but they also have amazingly yummy food. I’ve tried the morning brunch and lunch several times and everything is delicious. I love their vegetarian Mediterranean wrap and also their Cajun egg scrambler for breakfast. I haven’t tried the pancakes yet but I plan too and my son gives them two thumbs up. if you are in Nolensville, I would say that Mama Javas is one of the best options in town for lunch. PROS Excellent Food They have a drive-through CONS No decaf tea. Longer wait for food.

NOT A FOODRATING k here’s the deal — I came here trying to kill some time on a saturday morning. I walked in and saw the place full of locals showing down on breakfast. Thus, nowhere to sit. Not a bad thing for business, but poor planning on my part. Nonetheless, there were a couple people in fornot of me so I had a chance to scope out the joint, here’s what I saw: A limited selection of overprices flavored coffees, 2 origin coffees, both med roast, all at $ 14/lb(given I pay 10/lb for single origin coffees expertly roasted, I was a bit downtrodden). So I order an Americacno as well as a skinny Caramel Macchiato at 130. 5 min later, i get my order. Both beverages are piping hot. I figure my hands are cold. I go to sip the Macchiato, and I scorch my tongue. Perhaps I should’ve said something, but I just left instead. I’ll try them again — I like their quirky local atmosphere, but their service and accuracy of orders must improve.

This review is for food only. I met a friend for lunch the other day. I ordered the nutty mix salad. It looked tasty on the plate but the first bite I took was dreadful! The problem is the chicken. It looked and definitely tasted like cheap store bought CAN chicken! It was awful and left a very bad after taste. I tried picking through to the cranberries, nuts & feta cheese but the«can chicken» had ruin the entire salad. My friend ordered the BBQ chicken wrap and literally took a couple small bites and was totally over it. Seriously, any fast food restaurant salad would beat this hands down! The worse $ 9+ salad I’ve ever had. It appears the coffee and perhaps breakfast items is the way to go here. However, after such an awful lunch experience, I doubt I’ll give this place a second chance.

The coffee was wonderful and they roast and flavor on site. We even were able to get a quick lesson from the Roast Master. They have an amazing variety of flavors and they are organic. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast we had was yummy too. Nolensville is lucky to have it!

How does anyone pass this place up to go to any other coffee shop?! This place is cute, clean and friendly! I went on a Thursday morning around 9am to work on some emails. It was quiet and the service was outstanding!!! The girls working were friendly and helpful. They helped me make my food decision and it was spot on! My iced white mocha was perfectly made and the muffin was delicious. The girls working walked around a few times to ensure everyone was doing okay and enjoying their drinks. This could definitely become my new go to spot for coffee and working!

Love their brunch on Sunday. Everything was fresh. Eggs were made to order. I had the omelet with spinach, onions, mushrooms, and cheese. Go early there is a Ruch right after church service. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Owner was there to greet all tables.

Great little coffee shop. Had a very good Americano. Plenty of parking, and seating indoors. They have some great food options as well. I will most definitely repeat.

Stopped in with a group of friends for a post-workout snack. I was surprised to find great healthy options rather than just normal coffee house fare — muffins, scones, etc. I had a roll-up which consisted of a wheat wrap, almond butter, honey, banana and granola. It was great. And of course I got a form of coffee — a Carmel macchiato and it was on point. Service was great a lot of folks seemed to know the owner which was a good sign of customer loyalty. Décor was cute and had a good number of tables and bar seating. Great new location!

This review is for coffee, period. I think a coffee shop should be first evaluated for its flagship enterprise, coffee! This boutique roaster offers a full gamut of drinks. I opted for the«mamas house roast drip» for my inaugural visit. It was perfect. The deep rich flavor of this dark roast danced on my tongue the way a cup of delight should. The balance full flavor with low acidity was a great way to show love to your tongue and pick up mental boost. I can’t wait to try their other drink offerings and their food. Based on their flagship, I’m assuming it’s all good. If I evaluated this place as a «coffeeshop» it would have earned three stars because the hard seating options prevent this from being a place where I would hang out. What’s really impressive is there coffee is the most affordable boutique roasted around.($ 12 for a pound!)

Cute family owned business that air roasts their own coffee on sight in front of the customers. Healthy food and a lot of options. Love it.

This place is really good. The new location is bigger and well laid out. Lots of places to sit, a huge, community-table(make a new friend), and some side seating make it comfortable. I’ve only had a couple of food items, but each was good. On the coffee front, they roast their own beans here and i think they’re doing a very good job. The beans are oily enough to take a medium to dark roast well, without any char or sooty flavor. Their medium roasts retain some sweetness and acidity. I’ve found the staff to be friendly and personable.
