If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the best place in Nogales to get it. It is an adorable, tiny restaurant and a friendly woman is always there to greet you and you feel as if you are walking into your grandmothers home. Jardines de Mexico has the best corn tamales and a taste of Guadalajara’s tortas ahogadas. My favorite thing to order is either the tortilla soup or fideo soup with a corn tamale. They have a lot of breakfast and lunch selections to choose from(all Mexican classics). By far my favorite Mexican restaurant, so bad that the lady that runs it knows my name and what I am going to order when I call to order takeout for my coworkers and myself.

Really cute little restaurant with decent, but simple food. We ordered carne asada tacos, a burrito, meat tamale, and quesadillas. Our food came with two roasted jalapeños and some limes, which is fairly standard. The burro had meat and only meat and the first quesadilla had cheese and beans. Pretty standard fare, but fresh and delicious. The waitress was nice and service was quick.

Best authentic Mexican food I have ever had in the USA! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Amazing homemade tortillas and soup.

Charming small restaurant and friendly staff. I guess this is as close as you’re going to get to real Mexican food north of the border. Nothing fancy but what we tried tasted great at a good price.

They are known for their Tortas Ahogadas! You can have it spicy, medium, or just plain tomato sauce. The tortas are delish but not the same as the ones you find in Guadalajara… so if you’re looking for the authentic kind you might be disappointed. These tortas are a softer version of the original tortas ahogadas. The Sopa de Tortilla is also very yummy, you have to have the small one if you are having a Torta too! I’ve also had the tostadas and they are delish! This is a very small resturant and the service isn’t that great but the food makes it worth it because it tastes like your Mexican Mother made it for you. Also, don’t forget to have the freshly made Aguas! Agua de Melon is my favorite! Enjoy!
