It’s a nice store with an excellent selection, but compared to other nearby places prices are well above average. Produce especially is very pricey. Meat is okay when on sale, but otherwise expensive.

Regular grocery store a bore and driving everywhere to ethnic markets a chore, then Fresh Farms is the happy medium. Cue the music of «It’s a Small World»… European butter, cheese, yogurt, chocolate and vacuumed sealed, countertop, or just plain wrapped smoked meats! Big bags of cardamon-fennel-and I don’t know seeds and spices, rice, tumeric powder and lentils of all color and shapes. Parle-G! Asian noodles for stir fry or soup, «choy», fresh curry leaves, black bean paste, fresh tamarind. Durian. Medjool dates, hazelnuts, walnut, almonds slivered, whole or sliced! Candy and cookies in different languages. Fresh sardines, octopus, langoustine(is it a giant shrimp or a mini-lobster), pig’s head, salmon head, lox, shark. A whole leg of lamb! There’s a bakery, sushi, juice bar, loads of snacks, jars of mysterious pickled things, ethnic branding. I’m a big fan of markets and grocery stores, such that when I travel, I seek out what normal people cook with and eat. Here, it comes to home where if I need to find something exciting, something new, I can explore locally here in the comfort of my home town and kitchen. Because of the variety, it’s a good 5 stars, but the produce and some meat were a bit wilted, so to speak. Not necessarily my first place for the freshest and best stuff, but convenient and definitely for the hard to find stuff in terms of cuts or flavors. I’m sure this will vary depending on the week you come in. Nevertheless, if getting lost in food is fun, this is your place. I picked up some really cute crème brûlée in jars and the bread with olive oil I sampled were excellent. A place like this is hard to pull off and I’m so excited to come back again!!!

I prefer this location so much more than the Touchy location. There’s plenty of parking and a lot less congestion both inside and outside of the store. Their displays are beautiful and the prices are very fair. They also have a vegan section which is absolutely perfect for me. I wouldn’t come here for«regular» groceries, but this is my one stop destination for produce and veggies. :)

18 months and $ 17 million in renovations and this new Farm Fresh to me is already a borderline failure. Jerrys kills him on price and quality. And hence theyre not attracting the the traffic their Touhy location is. The bakery, meat dept, and deli are very good. Good value on decent quality. But if you re Greek Run produce super store and you re produce is not so fresh and mostly ‘B’ and even ‘C’ grade quality, you have a big problem. Lastly, the cashiers up front are very dry. They need to meet, greet, say hi and bye and smile. Its retail… and most dont have a clue what 90% of the produce is. After coming here 4 or 5 times, i see no compelling reason to return.

Started shopping here since they recently opened. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh and they have a great selection. On my first visit I was in the meat section trying to decide on what steak to purchase for a meal we were going to make for dinner. One of the employees an older Greek man came out of nowhere and started giving me advice on selections/cooking. Wish I knew his name but he was very kind and very helpful. Guess he seen I was debating and unsure. He just wanted to help and he sure did!

Is it socially acceptable to be in love with a grocery store? This Fresh Farms location is the newest in the Chicago area, and I was absolutely blown away by the selection! They have so many ingredients that are usually hard to find in regular grocery stores. In addition to the fresh produce(they have plantains!), the extensive cheese and deli selection, meat and seafood department galore… they have so many international options. They have sections for food from Bulgaria, Lithuania, Croatia, Greece, Russia, Middle East, India. This was so insane to me! In fact, I found some Turkish cookie that I’ve been dying to eat again(Tutku — you must try them), the Croatian Smoki peanut puffs(again, to die for), and so many other items that made me reminisce about my travels. The Asian section was out of this world, and I was shocked by the different varieties of Bob’s Red Mill products(grains, oats, flours) available. You know you’ve stumbled upon an excellent supermarket when your brain is just churning with meal possibilities that are usually restricted by limited ingredient choices. I WILLBEBACK! The only con? I couldn’t find Australian Tim-Tams! Oh, the agony! I’m not sure why the other Unilocaler had such a bad experience. I found the employees to be very friendly and helpful!

Very rude staff! The Manager asked me to go to the other location if I’m not happy with the service! Lol she’s actualy right… the skokie location provides the best service! I left my shopping cart by the register and I’m in my way to skokie location, yes it’s a longer drive for me but its worth it! I deserve to be treated well especially at the places I spend good money at.

Best. Groceries. Ever. I’m passionate about groceries since my family loves some good food, finding a great grocery store is tantamount to finding gold for me. This Fresh Farms is brand spankin’ new and it’s awesome! I usually frequent the one on Touhy or Devon, but since moving west… this place is right down the street from me. It’s located in a strip mall sort of area along with a couple of other shops. The layout can be a bit confusing but it’s essentially the same as their Touhy branch. The new additions here are a small café type area tight bext to their house-made salads and other deli items. The juice bar is also located next to the café seating. It’s sparkling clean. There is TONS of variety, the fruit and veg are FRESH and delicious. Meat and fish is great, they carry Crescent brand zabiha halal chicken and meat, such a huge plus. Huge pastry section, i was tempted to grab quite a few things when walking by. The best part is they’ve got so many international foods… K&N’s is a Pakistani brand of frozen food that i’ve rarely been able to find, but they have a huge selection here! It such a sweet reminder of my parents home and vacations spent there. That’s the thing about Fresh Farms, you’ll find a random international food or spice, whatever, and it will instantly take you back and give you the warm fuzzies lol. Def a great grocery store for pretty much anything and everything. It’s got a ton more variety than Jewel and the prices and freshness are better than Tony’s or other comparable stores.
