I’m so disgusted. These cooks smoke then use there bare hands to make your meal no gloves. I hate cigarettes and right after I finished eating my breath smelled like I smoked! I wanted to vomit!!! Also, the chicken was old and discolored. Both bathrooms were out of service. Annoyed never again!!!

I got chicken tacos very good! When I walked in you can see them cooking your food. I watched as the guy touched the food with his bare hands and couldn’t help but cringe. I wish they wore gloves especially if people are watching you.

Great and authentic mexican food with reasonable price. They also cater. A good size party tray. All my guest at my party loved the chicken fajitas.

I gotta say, these burritos have more meat than chipotle’s and less guilt than Taco Bell. I order the king steak burrito and it was exactly what you’d expect: steak, cheese, lettuce, and tomato wrapped in a corn tortilla. Overall, it was pretty damn good. Now for the bad news, I was still hungry after eating the«king» sized burrito. You’d need to get an additional side to get you feeling satisfied. Now for the really bad news. The workers don’t wear gloves. For duration of my stay, which was 10 minutes, I watched as they touched the cabinets, the cylinders they keep the meat, and their uniforms without washing their hands. This could be a one time occurrence, but I think one is already more than enough times when you’re handling food.

The only thing that comes close to being as great as a purrito(aka a cat rolled into a fluffy ball) is a burrito… and you can find some delicious burritos here at none other than The Burrito House which is appropriately named, might I add. Sure, there are numerous other late night Mexican joints scattered all across the immediate area and sure, maybe they start to run together in your mind after you’ve made so many drunken(or not drunken) pit stops amongst them, but I bet The Burrito House is one of the cheapest burritos you’ll find among your endeavors. I’d actually say that The Burrito House’s prices and food are comparable to Taco Burrito King — I love both and I’m not dissin’ on either of them, however I actually prefer the burritos here because they’re full of yummy goodness without all that grease drizzling down your arms and giving you a grease bath. With that being said said, I ordered the king-sized(they have both king and junior size) veggie burrito which was only $ 3.50!!! Score! Of course if you get burritos with meat the cost is jacked up a bit, but to be honest you don’t need the meat — it’s already so delicious without it. I also got the horchata(which is the whole reason I even came here in the first place) and mmmmm was it tasty. It was the perfect meal after just leaving the ER at the hospital down the street(conveniently placed don’t you think?) I got the large horchata wich was also pretty cheap, but even that large size wasn’t enough… I had to get a refill, but at the cost of an additional 50 cents. Overall Burrito House is a great place to hit up whenever the night owl fever strikes or whenever you’re just craving some down and dirty burritos.

Burrito house is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants to eat at while out in this area. But my only issue is that they don’t have elotes, but I will say I don’t know very many restaurants that serve elotes. The chimichangas are amazing by the way…

Great middle of night food run. There is a popular local bar next door so this place gets a tom of traffic 12−3AM. Decent food. Relatively fast. Cheap. Not a fancy restaurant or anything like that but has a seating area.

I always get carry out but I love their hours. The people who work there are really nice and quick. Their food is great– I consider it comfort food. The portions are big and really on the flavorful side. A little greasy but I think its ok. I’ve tried most of the items on the menu and I haven’t been disappointed with anything yet.

Good portioned food, open late which is a huge plus. Overall would recommend if you are in the area.

I usually go to the Burrito House on Lincoln, but as my dad and I had a craving for some chimichangas and this was around the corner, we decided to give this particular location a try. I have fond memories of BH as I usually hit this place up late at night after a night out of town. I always get my usual, the Chimichanga Steak Dinner — it is always fried well, filled with steak cubes and cheese, a big dollop of guacamole and sour cream on top. They also have red and green hot sauces to complement your meal. It is a decent place to get a chimichanga craving if you do not wan to trek deep into the city. +Chimichanga Steak Dinner +open late

This place is a disappointment. I appreciate the hours they are open, but, when actually trying the food, I have experienced better tasting late-night Mexican food than here. It’s not horrible by any means, especially the limited amount of places to get late-night Mexican food. Wayyyyyyy better than Taco Burrito King for sure. The burrito can get a bit soggy and lack flavor. I suggest getting the tacos at this place. The nachos are below average. It tastes cold and stale. The service is the best part. Always friendly and quick. I’m not looking for a four-star Mexican restaurant. Usually the more divey places service the best food, but can there please be a decent late-night Mexican food place around this area? We are in desperate need of it!

Love that they’re open late at night. Love that they’re reasonably priced. Love that they’re not greasy. Love the flavor on that steak. Love that the lettuce and tomato is fresh. They’re my perfect quick-bite joint before or after hitting Chaser’s next door. 5 stars for it being an awesome taco joint, and a great alternative to my usual, TBK. Note. As a gourmet Mexican restaurant featuring cuisine as a dinner service spot… yeah i wouldn’t go here for that. If taken for what it is, though… Wins all around

Alright alright people need to relax with the whole«omg it’s not real mexican food“well freakin no kidding! It’s on the upper echelon of taco food chains take that to let’s say Taco Burrito King. But still, It’s just okay. If you’re looking for a decently cheap late night drunk meal or a good hungover lunch I would recommend it. Steak tacos meal is my recommendation I know I know SUPER«mexican» right?! The meat isn’t per say top notch but it’s not as low grade. like I said if you’re starved and in the mood for some quick tacos I would come here but will it give you some serious shits? Yes. Is it worth it? Depending how hammered you were at the time. Maybe.

Don’t let the stars fool you. It’s not impeccable Mexican food but it’s food you can enjoy without a buzz or hangover.(That’s not to say you won’t see people in either state of mind. I mean. Chasers IS next door) Perfect for those days when you’re off work and too lazy to cook for yourself. For less than $ 10 dollars a decent meal can be found with any number of different options. They also do burgers and fries if you’ve gotta have that. Decent taco joint and cheap. A solid 3.5 star kind of place.

Quick and easy late night food. As simple as that. Ended up going here around 1 am after a night of drinking. Not just for me, but I got the steak taco, a rellano tostada, and chips and guacamole. The steak taco was bomb. Loved it during the night, and even again in the morning for breakfast. The tostada was meh. Other people liked it, I wasn’t too fond of it. The guac was really good but they don’t give you enough chips. I’m sure I’ll be back some night

I’m not a big fan of mexican food but I like to eat some good tacos every now and then. I think this place has very good tacos. I was watching them preparing it and I can tell the steak was fresh. This place stays late at night on weekends and is always busy which helps their inventory turn over very quickly and subsequently keep it fresh. Definitely a sold three star restaurant but added one more star for the friendly amigos that works hard over there.

This place hit the spot for a quick no-frills Mexican lunch. We enjoyed a marinated pork taco and a king size steak burrito. They have a clean, spacious dining space and a friendly counter guy on this day.

Very few places that are open as late as this taste as good! We stopped by on our way back from o’hare late at night, and it hit the spot! The prices are cheap, and you get an additional discount for paying with cash. The burritos are big and stuffed with meat. I got the pastor(marinated meat) and it was tender and juicy(4.75). I also got a large horchata(1.65) which is self serve, and refills cost 60 cents. It had just the right amount of cinnamon and was very refreshing. The food was great, but don’t expect the restaurant to be very clean. The tables and chairs weren’t really wiped down, but we were there for such a short period of time(the food came out quickly and we scarfed it down) that it didn’t really bother me.
