Jake’s Cigar Bar & Lounge

Fun selection of cigars and friendly service. The bar is not as high end as some cigar lounges I’ve been to. It is much more laid back and casual. There are tvs to watch games. A nice place to have a cigar and one of the only places you can smoke in near Lexington!

Great place to hang out. Alcohol license, lounge with comfy armchairs and communal table inside, tables and metal seating outside.
I gave it five stars for the atmosphere.
If I were to rate it for their cigar selection, it would get a star or two.
They have lots of brands, but the high end sticks are few and far between. They have very few Montecristos (and both with Connecticut wrappers, no Habana or Maduro), a couple of Davidoffs, and two Avos in tubes.
Missing in action are all the other great brands, from the AJ Fernandez family (think San Lotano), Oliva, Rocky Patel, Gurka, Cohiba, Romeo and Juliet, Nub, CAO, and the list goes on. I guess the clients don’t know what they’re missing. Even small batches of these brands would complete a great place like this, they also offer the opportunity for a nicer profit for the house (these suggestions are prime cigars, not cheap, but not expensive either).
Hope the owners read this and look into those names, and go up in quality.
Then again, I’m from out of state.
The bourbon is first class all through the selection, though.

First off as a lounge it’s quite decent, but for a selection of cigars and accessories it was lacking. As a cigar lounge I thought it may be centric to what the humidor had to offer. It was more centric to the bar where I felt the cigar experience was second hand. If this all I have during my stay I might go back, but I’m hoping there might be more that Lexington has to offer.

This place is just plain neat!
I don’t smoke often and really do not like the smell of cigarettes but this place is so well ventilated you really only get the good aromas!
Our group (Brothers Keepers MC) makes this a regular stop on Friday night to relax and hang out.
Service is wonderful!!!

Good beer, good cigars, great staff, but lacking still in the first two categories. There is nothing really special about what they have on tap just your basic American beer. When it comes to the bottles they do have on occasion some great porters and stouts however they are the same beers you see in your local liquor store. Cigars… They do have some good ones, however they are overpriced, as I can get these same ones at the tobacco store downtown for 4 – 5 dollars less for certain ones. Furthermore, their selection of cigars changes neat every time I am there and their selection is scarce to say the least. The bartender is extremely nice, he is a hard worker and doest have you wait for anything. He is attentive to his job and friendly, before you know it you are ordering another beer and it feels like you are hanging out. Those two stars could be gained if there was a better beer selection, especially with what is on tap and the cigar selection needs to be increased and a little more standardized.

Live in Atlanta but travel to Lexington frequently. Searched on Unilocal for local cigar bars and found Jake’s. I can’t express how happy I was to find this «gem»! Great people, comfy seating, strong drinks and terrific ventilation for a cigar bar. I happened to go on a Wednesday when the resident grill master was serving up complimentary hot dogs and side dishes. Will make a point of stopping by whenever I am in town.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and just a relaxing place for a cigar and beverage. A+ rating.

I’d probably have given it 5 stars, but the location — far away in a distant strip mall, sorta sucked.

This place is simply outstanding. Excellent bourbon and cigar selection and the prices are reasonable. Makes me want to move closer to Nicholasville.

Great time at jakes vodka and really fresh cigars

In town on business, looking for something off the beaten track and to my great surprise and pleasure I stumbled upon this place! Extremely friendly owner/​proprietor, great selection of booze and much better microbrewery selection than I had any right to expect. He mixes a mean Old Fashioned, and now will make a Sazerac, I’m happy to say. Plus, he’ll put an order in for you with the sushi restaurant next door, (which is also quite good). Yes, this is a cigar bar, but I’m not a smoker and I still found the place well ventilated and inviting. I call upon my fellow non-​smokers to NOT pull out the Smoking Nazi card and complain about someone in here smoking a cigar next to them. This is a place for smokers, first and foremost, and while I encourage everyone to give this place a try rather than the uninteresting, uninspiring chain bar alternatives, there should be no misunderstanding that smoking is both welcomed and encouraged here. To sum it up, I was in town for three days and found myself returning gladly all three nights, and wishing it were in my neck of the woods. That’s worth a write up, and the combination of low drink prices, nice atmosphere, exemplary service and unexpected pleasure rates 5 stars.

This is seriously the only bar I go to. Once you stop by and get to know the boys that run the place, you’ll see why. Rarely do you find business owners that still run and value customers like Jake and Jared do. It’s pure class…

This place is everything one could ask for in a cigar lounge and more. As communities across America try to shut down smoking establishments, Jakes steps up to the plate and hits a home run! The ventilation system in Jake’s is fabulous. The cigar selection was amazing. Ashton fans will be impressed, and find the ESG at a price point equal to other establishments of this caliber.
I think what sets Jakes apart from other lounges is Jake himself. Visiting from the West coast I found this place friendly, inviting, and very reasonably priced. This is a very classy joint!
The bar was well stocked with healthy choices of Boubon, Scotch and Irish liquor. Do not pass Jake’s if in the area! I will definitely be back.

I don’t give out 5 stars often, but Jake’s has earned it! The a place had a great atmosphere and the great selection of cigars and drinks. I recommend ASHTON with some Maker’s Mark!
We stayed at Jake’s almost 4 hours and the chairs were so comfortable it felt like minutes. If you are looking for a great place to hang out, perhaps have a drink and or a smoke this is the place. I’ll be back both after golf and with my customers to do a little business.

Jake’s has a very inviting atmosphere. The décor is upscale with cozy table settings and great lounge areas. As a person with a back injury, I was amazed how comfortable the lounge chairs were! The ventilation in the bar is great! I am not a smoker and was not bothered at all even though the bar was full of smokers. The bar tender made me the best Appletini I have ever had! This place is great!

My friend’s brother opened this place up, so I got to check it out on a Friend’s and Family night. I don’t smoke, so unfortunately, I can’t give much of a scoop in that department, but since there are no reviews for Jake’s at all, I figured some info was better than none.
It’s a very classy vibe, lots of low leather couches and chairs grouped around the place, and some cocktail tables and a very long, handsome bar as well. They have a huge selection of beers (50!), wines and, of course, cigars.
They have some crazy ventilation system at work here, the places was packed wall to wall with people smoking up a storm and it was, to my wussy non-​smoker lungs, pretty tolerable.
This place has just opened up, so they are still getting up to speed on many things, but if you enjoy a good cigar, I would say you should definitely check it out!
